Akyuu Thread Nameless Fairy 08/30/2020 (Sun) 20:04:03 No. 626
Do you see we'll see Akyuu die somewhere along the lines of the games or the printworks? The children of Miare do not have the longest of life expectancies, and Akyuu, if nothing else, has grown quite a bit since her first appearance.

Touhou lives and dies by it's girls. No way ZUN would just kill one of them.
>>626 He'll start killing off the cast when his beer induced liver failure gets diagnosed.
>>631 And leave his kids without a franchise to inherit?

>>628 looks like akyuu will become a jew
>>628 Something something Fortune teller. And the PC-98 cast. If the evil spirit from Cheating Detective Satori isn't Mima, I'm fairly sure there'll be riots
>>646 >Fortune teller Dick >PC-98 >>retired and are warmly watching over things Although in mystic square Mima route Yuki and Mai promise to send her to "the place where she can rest forever", to which she tells them to go fuck themselves and that she'll send them there; and if you defeat Mai first, and then Yuki, the later cries for her life, to which Mima answers that Mai is "waiting for her there". So forget about ZUN killing off characters. Before spellcards girls did a fine job of it themselves. >If the evil spirit from Cheating Detective Satori isn't Mima, I'm fairly sure there'll be riots I know I will go into the streets. Forget about niggers. Mima lives matter.
>>648 >Dick Poor guy didn't do 1% of the damage that some other incident causers had done and now is probably erased from existence (if it is true that youkai disappear when dead). Specially egregious considering people like Byakuren. >Riots. There will need to be people left alive after such ball busting.
>>655 In the beginning of fortune teller's chapter Reimu explained how fortune tellers, like shrine maidens, are one of the few professions that can interact with occult and such and that shrine maidens have special training and gods' protection, but everyone else should be extra careful while peeking behind the veil of reality, because they're gonna get tempted by the powers on the other side and shit. Now bear with me. The very next chapter is all about the fad of makeshift ouija boards and recreational spirit summoning sweeping through the human village. If I remember correctly, most of the chapter consists of Reimu going around, looking displeased with amateurs dabbling in her craft, and culminates with her finding Marisa and Kosuzu playing with a real ouija from Rinnosuke, and summoning some scrub deity to both flex on them and make them shit their bloomers. Now, I'm not saying anything, but if I was to put two and two together, I'd say Reimu exterminated fortune teller to dispose of a potential riva

>>656 Seems like she is only sticks and no carrots. A good religious guide(or any kind of teacher or master) doesn't only present himself to admonish or punish the flock. Of course, a positive attitude would mean that the cattle would start to want to not be cattle and having wrong thinking and even maybe electing the person who pulled them up as a leader...
>>658 Raymoo seems a bit too knuckleheaded to have legitimate political/religious interests beyond drink tea/kick ass. Although playing a fool is also something political leaders do to confuse opponents and endear supporters.
>>660 >>658 If only Spaghettolini no Miko would actual act as a human leader for once instead of fucking around in her super secret hermit dimension. Speaking of which, what are Keiki and her creations up to nowadays anyway? The entire thing about animal spirits picking on human spirits seems eerily similar to the situation in Gensokyo proper.
>>661 Mikoko is more of a hermit leader than a human leader. Either way, he is a religious leader, and as such can only lead the village down the path of superstition; different from the one they have now, but superstition none the less. They need someone, to teach them an ideology that will drive them to self-improve. Like the ideology of Master Spark.
>>670 Marisa might be a bit of a bad example, that not everyone is bound to get private lectures by Mima. Besides, if they followed Marisa's path without at least leaving the village first, they'd get Fortune Teller'd by Reimu as soon as they turn into proper magicians. Or probably would get nuked even if they did, simply because the youkai dislike the food to upset the food chain.
>>673 But Marisa isn't a magician. She's just an ordinary magician girl.
>>661 >If only Spaghettolini no Miko would actual act as a human leader for once instead of fucking around in her super secret hermit dimension. That can never happen because Taoism teaches that the best kind of leader, above even a leader that is loved by their people, is one that is little known and makes their people think they did things on their own. It could very well be that the Taoists have been doing some things in secret for a while now, but are far better at hiding their actions than say, Moriya Shrine.
>>675 Marisa turning into a full-blooded magician is not a question of 'if', but of 'when'. >>677 Which is why Miko holds public speeches against the excessive consumption of sugar in the human village?
>>678 The speeches are to distract everyone while Futo burns down the sugarcane fields.
>>678 >Marisa turning into a full-blooded magician is not a question of 'if', but of 'when'. <Lives in the magical forest <Experiments with magical doohickeys since she was a child <Eats mushrooms everyday She's already a magician in my book, even if all her tricks are stolen from somewhere else.
>>682 Didn't she mention somewhere in fairymanga how she doesn't want to live forever? Plus if she indeed became immortal, everyone whose stuff she borrowed would absolutely gang up on her ass.
>>684 With Marisa, I'd be more worried that most magicians we know (i.e., Patchouli and and Alice) are glorified turboautists who don't care about much of anything aside from their specialty - dolls magic and books, respectively. If becoming a full-blooded magician would do the same to Marisa's personality, we'd probably get someone whose kleptomania would put the Blood Ravens to shame. Or, worse than that, someone whose desire to become ever-stronger turns into a flat-out lust for power. In slightly more light-hearted news: If Aykuu was seeking for her chance to get laid before she kicks the bucket, would you help her?
(2.17 MB 1800x1814 Untitled0.png)

>>712 But she's not seeking power as in influence. She's all about DAKA-DAKA-FIREPOWAAH and making mastersparks go boom. Which isn't inherently dangerous, she just needs supervision from a responsible adult.
>>713 >She's all about DAKA-DAKA-FIREPOWAAH Which is exactly why she should be the sole governor of human village, by the way.
>>713 Too bad that "adult" was neither responsible in the first place, nor is she around anymore. ;_;
>>720 Mima-sama is highly responsible (to prayers)
>>712 >If Aykuu was seeking for her chance to get laid before she kicks the bucket, would you help her? Premarital sex is degenerate! We'd have to get married first, and even then I'd get stuck raising a hapa kid as a single parent once she kicked the bucket. Not a chance!
What would happen if Seiga-nyan slaps her "oops, u mine now" sticker on Akyuu's cold dead forehead? Will the reincarnation halt because the current Miare is undead now or will there be potential for two Akyuus? Are Akyuu's abilities the privilige of currently living Miare, or Will we have a combination of Jiang'shi retardation with Miare photographic memory? Will old Miare's continuously expanding pool of memories flood the mind of the new one? If so, then shared-senses fetish artists would be all over the idea.
>>732 I'm pretty sure her charms only raise the corpse itself as a Jiang-Shi, without enslaving the soul of its former owner with it. In other words, Yoshika probably is an artificial entity possessing a dead body, just like Ran is a shikigami possessing a kitsune. My best guess is that Akyuu (or rather, her memories) would just be reincarnated into the next child of Miare, while the Jiang-Shi Akyuu would just be as braindead as Yoshika. Above all this, Akyuu's remains likely will be cremated if the Human Village still follows the Shinto beliefs it held before the Buddhists and the Taoists showed up.
>>734 Wasn't there a thing about Seiga being known as a wicked hermit in part for not respecting the dead people's rights for peace? Not their remains, dead people themselves.
>>735 I kinda figured Seiga is considered a wicked hermit for a lot of currently unknown and ambiguous things, with those things being less ambiguous to Miko/Futo/Tojiko and thus further explaining them distancing themselves from her.
