With the rather surprising reveal that Kanako will be one of the playable characters in the new spin-off title (rather than being one of the bosses or a gimmick for Sanae), do you think we might get more surprises in that direction? I mean, Reimu and Marisa are non-negotiable assets. But the third and the potential fourth are technically free. So who, in your opinon, would be a likely candidate to fill these slots? Or do you think it will be a "popular" girl like Ayaor Sanae again? My personal best bet is Sumireko - she'd provide an interesting spin for the story simply by being from the outside world, and she'd basically join Cirno and Aya in appearing as a playable character in one of the main games after having her own spin-off. Then again, I also wouldn't mind seeing some spotlight for the lesser-known girls. If ZUN added either Benben or Yatsuhashi, people might actually remember their names for once.
