I'm 6'2" with maybe 33" waist and 175lbs but yeah pampers/huggies don't even come close to fitting on me, and even when i use tape extenders, the diapers are simply not tall enough (either you cover your ass crack and show pubes or you cover your pubes and show ass crack lol). I've modified diapers to fit which is simple enough with scissors and hot glue, i've come up with some very nice fits via that process but wish they just came out-of-the-bag in a fitting state. Even Pampers 8 imported from UK are no better. It's just a matter of their design, they're basically long rectangles that only appear to flair out due to the elastics. Compare that to an adult diaper which has a flaired cut to accommodate adult hips.
Our only hope is some diaper company takes a typical size 6/7/8 baby diaper and expands the width by 1" and the length by 4" and then sizes up the tapes by a factor of 1.5x... I'm really not certain why abdl brands have not created a baby-diaper-fit -- no scratch that I know why it's because diaper machines have to be designed from the ground up for that design run and that's a pricey thing to do... but still.
as for "adult sized goodnite" someone from an abdl company said online somewhere why adult pullups are so difficult, abdl customers expect/demand very high absorbency and it's difficult to get that kind of absorbency into that diaper format and still have a diaper that doesn't sag and doesn't droop. maybe if they went for a Pull-Ups style "tape on pullup" then users could adjust the fit, make it a velcro front... if they're gonna go to that much effort i'd much prefer them to make an upsized baby diaper
