weird shit from when you were a kid Xenomorph 04/21/2025 (Mon) 02:02:52 No. 10 >>11>>20
i remember when I was young around 7 or 8 years old I was playing outside with my older brother. I remember he kicked a ball toward the far end of the yard, and I ran to go get it. when I was picking up the ball, I suddenly heard strange whispering. I remember thinking it sounded like the snake talk shit from harry potter, which understandably freaked me out. I ran back inside with my brother. What’s weird is that we all heard different things. My brother said he heard what sounded like a car screeching to a halt, followed by gunfire. My mom said she heard us screaming (though I can’t remember if we actually were, i dont think so), and my grandpa didn’t hear anything at all. what are your weird childhood storys /cx/?
>>10 (OP) Grandpa was the one making all the noise. When I was a kid I woke up to a very localized purple thunderstorm way back in the fields. Government testing or teenagers playing with fireworks?
>>11 wdym? whats a purple thunderstorm? also i forgot to remember this but i distinctly remember thinking about the color purple when i heard the whisper stuff, thats how i tried to describe it to my family but it obviously made no sense
I got three i can think of, starting from least suspect to most: Once after i had a shower i forgot to put my mjolnir pendant back on and felt it in the bathroom, few minutes later i sat down at my PC and reached over for something to then hear a thud, looked down to see my pendant somehow got there even though i never remember putting it in a pocket or on, but i probably did and forgot. Once i was outside once and just started hearing weird ‘angelic’ humming or singing, it lasted for a while before it quietened down, nothing else happened but just thos weird humming / sining from all around, like the sky itself was humming. And thirdly the most interesting one; I was walking home very late through an old railway line turned into a trailway, it was pitch black and i just felt daring and decided to go down the trail, was walking for a bit and was coming to the end which had a lamppost, i swear i could see some sort of silhouette to the side in the bushes as i approached but the closer i got it seemed to disappear. I passed the spot where i saw the silhouette and a few steps later something had like punched my satchel really hard, i turned around and saw nothing and was spooked. Found out months later from town gossip that many many years ago a young girl was lured, tortured and murdered on the same trail. (Heres an article about it for those curious: https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/1039622.child-killer-freedom-bid/ )
>>13 I remembered another time when I was seeing my girlfriend and she had left to home, i just felt really bad and a longing to walk her home, keep her company and such things. So i grabbed my stuff and ran out the soor to try and find her and ran pretty much halfway there before i was getting exhausted and thought she’d be too far away now, there was an old man just standing in a large coat and large brimmed hat who was watching me run past, we exchanged a look and he gave me a smile and said ‘Go on lad, don’t give up’ or something closely along the lines of that, for some reason i felt much more motivated and energised and kept going for awhile, eventually i stopped because i was getting close to her place and thought id missed her and sat down with n a bench, a minute later she comes walking by, somehow i had over taken her and met her by chance. Dunno what it was, but that man didn’t seem or feel like a normal old man, and without his motivation to push further I’d not have the depth in my relationship that i do with partner
I was about 8 years old getting ready for the school day with my sister. I had an immense feeling of dread while watching cartoons around 7pm. I think we were watching some animated shows on Disney channel but I can't recall what show it was. When it was time to go to bed, I was still scared but I had no clue why. I didn't tell my sister anything nor did I tell my parents how I felt. I fell asleep after about an hour then woke up in the middle of the night to hear a piano being played. We did not own a piano, nor did any of the other neighbors. The piano sound kept getting louder and louder, I felt like it was coming from the top of the walls. It went on for about 1-2 minutes until I heard my sister scream for my parents, then I screamed for them as well. The second they opened the door the music had stopped. I was crying with my sister for about an hour. My parents tried to figure out where the sound came from but we had no clue. She heard it in her room which was down the hall from where I had slept. The only room that had a TV was the living room and it wasn't turned on. To this day I have no clue what made the sound and how both my sister and I heard it.
I became fascinated with a certain shade of blue, as there was a ball of some sort with that color I remember running after as a baby. Upon reaching where it was, it wasn't there. I'm unsure what shade of blue it could be considered, but possibly cobalt. It's the only memory I have of that era.
>>10 (OP) I was playing with my toys in the living room, my parents were out and my sister was on her pc. Suddenly, I look at the corridor and there stands, for a second, a pale white "person", with black long hair and a white dress, looking at me. I got the chills, and instantly knew it wasn't a normal thing or person, I diverted my eyes from it and went to speak with my sister, running. I knew it wasn't her, but I told her, just to be sure "I saw you watching me play.". I begged inside that it was really her, but she said she never went there. I was too afraid to go back playing alone in the living room that day, but my memory ends there.
Two things worth telling right now in the same apartment, the rest can wait: The first was when I was around 3 years old, young, but this was unforgettable, and for several nights in a row I had a repeated "nightmare" where I would argue with a dark presence under my bed who assumed the name of one of my friends and the"voice" of a character in one of my favorite kid's shows at the time. Then the darkness I couldn't see (in the town I was in my curtains really weren't that good in my bedroom so usually with natural human sight I could see the rest of my room, just not under there when that it was there at night) and I would wrestle and I would always be struggling to break free and it would try to pull me under my bunk bed (I was on the bottom bunk when I went to sleep but I would always wake up on the floor during this stretch despite never feeling any sort of fall). Eventually I would scream and I remember, clearer than yesterday, that as soon a my brother looked at me from the top bunk and my mother came down the hallway to check on me, the presence would disappear. Thankfully, it didn't take long for my parent's to block the underneath of my bed with storage boxes full of clothes. After that, I had no more trouble with that darkness. Demonic if I've ever heard the word. The second time was a lot less interesting. Basically, when I was 4 I was enjoying some fresh grapes after dinner with my brother. We talked, and eventually got into a playful argument. For some reason or game or another, he got up to run. I chased him for the same reason. Eventually I followed him to the bathroom where he locked himself in which I thought was unusual considering he is almost 3 years older than I am. Either way, I checked a couple times and I couldn't open the door, I yelled and told him he wasn't meant to do that (our parents above most disliked us playing with doors) but the only response I got was something along the lines of "you can't get me here" and then absolute silence even when I put my ear up to the door to listen for signs of life. So I quickly went back to the table to eat more grapes. As soon as I had turned around the corner to head towards the dining table, I saw my brother sitting there, almost done with the grapes. Neither he nor my mother remembered what I was talking about. Keep in mind the walls are all made of solid brick, and the door closed was very squeaky so it couldn't be opened behind my back without alerting me. After I went back, I checked the door again, it was unlocked and the bathroom empty. I was very confused. The chase was, from start to moment of realization, probably less than 20 seconds with half that being me staring at the locked door. Pic rel is the layout of the chase.
