The Venusphage is a highly virulent and invasive pathogen belonging to the 'bacteriophage' family, and is one of the most notably successful iterations of its family for lysogenic therapy purposes. While its expressions are... remarkable, to the point of suggesting artificial design, in theory the phenotypic expressions it induces (hyper-enlarged mammary glands, increased reproductive capacity etc) would also be favourable for the virus' own spreading, through touch, sweat, milk or sexual fluids. Of special note however, are the alterations that cause women to so greatly struggle with physical motion. This is a result of several factors, of course. The increase in sheer bodyweight, particularly breast weight. The increased calorie expense in constant high milk production. However these are conditions in which the body can, and observably does adapt to. The most significant cause of difficulties in exercise and long distance walking is a conformational change to the pelvis. When exposed to Venusphage, the female pelvis will widen in a variety of ways. Typically, and most reliably, this occurs at the pubic symphysis, which will 'widen' by anywhere between 4mm to 20mm, though typically will observe increased development of connective tissue, and/or corresponding plate growth at the ends of either pubic ramus. In some cases, bone growth might occur at either lateral connecting surface of the ala of sacrum. However this is rarer, and typically observes less growth than at the pubic symphysis. The end results however, are twofold. The first, is that the space between either acetabulum, and either hip bone, is widened. Which, while making for easier childbirth, makes weight transfer considerably less viable with bipedal motion. It is the reason why apes do not walk for long periods on two legs, as a wider pelvis, meaning wider distances between either hip joint and the center of mass, doesn't allow for a normal stride, while keeping the body mostly stationary. Though this is typically most an issue in cases where Sacrum bone growth is observed, it can be enough to force a sway to the hips to line up each leg with center mass. Though this is not a significant alteration to gait, it is enough to require extra energy, and to slow the walking gait down with the need for the extra 'step in the sequence'. The second, and more known fact, is that the widening of the pubic symphysis, alongside also widening the distance between acetabulum, shifts either joint outwards, altering the natural resting angle of the hips, knees and feet. This also occurs in late stage pregnancy, and is the primary cause of the 'pregnancy waddle' that many attribute to those infected with the virus as, while this is not entirely inhibitory to standard ranges of motion, it does naturally inhibit a constant walking motion as the paths of either foot, without correction, will not run parallel but instead spread. Though, again, the human body adapts, and though those affected frequently develop muscular hypertrophy to deal with more distal hip joints, and an opened angle of swing, typically there is extra energy expended, and a lower 'cap' on physical speed and dexterity. Hence, while often physically stronger than uninfected females, you observe 1mph natural walking speeds, the need for male partners for support, the difficulties in chasing after and catching young children, and the noticeably greater exertions in performing the same physical feats. On similar note, it is believed by many that this, alongside the constant need for high calorie, high nutrition and high quantity milk production, is what prevents excessive weight gain among those infected as, even with a modern diet and little exercise, calories are frequently spent in locomotion or in milk production. Fortunately, though the pelvic reconfiguring does affect locomotion, it also makes childbirth and child-bearing much easier and safer, with those infected by Venusphage up to 95 times less likely to experience medical complications from pregnancy or childbirth, despite often carrying twins or triplets. Infected subjects also attest to fewer discomforts, struggles or lifestyle complications while pregnant, and are commonly held to be less affected by said burdens of childbearing, than uninfected individuals.

What was originally expensive technology used to restore organs and regrow limbs is now also being used to alter nearly every aspect of someone's physical appearance. Black to blonde hair, brown eyes to blue eyes, pale skin to naturally tanned, full lips that always look glossy, a complete reshaping of the face, and of course changing the rest of the body. It's all possible. To process is not invasive, highly streamlined, and surprisingly comfortable. From between 4 to 18 days, length depending on the extent of the changes, a person will undergo "regenerative therapy." The experience is much like going to a luxury spa, but in addition to being massaged and enjoying relaxing baths, you must also spend about 2 hours every day doing a process of "focused regeneration" where adaptive cells are injected into specific body parts and then massaged and stimulated with electrical currents. Allowing decide when ovulation and menstruation happens, and what the sex is of any children who will be born. There are some unspoken social rules between men about what is socially acceptable to do with the women they own. Generally it is agreed upon that every man should have at least 1 son, and at least 1 daughter whom he will marry off to another man. But other than that you can mostly shape your family the way you want. If you want to make a harem of your own daughters that is completely OK and even seen as admirable (he loves his girls so much!) Marrying you wife away to another man is also seen as a suitable alternative to marrying off a daughter for those guys who just cannot stand the idea of their angels leaving the nest. And if everyone agrees you're a particularly loving father they will probably accept that you keep all your girls to yourself. Psychologist have observed that having ones physical appearance completely sculpted by a man has a profound effect on women. Over 97% of the female population has no sense of control over their lives, and very little sense of personal identity. The landscape of their minds are entirely defined by what the man who owns them wants from them. This is considered a positive change, and women are reported by be happier than ever before.

Between the lands of Cyperia and Ankhor-Londo, lies the expansive planes of the Empire of Irakkis. Unique, among peoples, Irakkis is a sprawling set of cities, villages and townships, that all live by a curiously codified matriarchy. The origin of this social order is seemingly rooted in the semi-religious perception of pregnancy. Irakkia is a harsh land, where life is cheap and death plentiful, so perhaps that is what mythologized the act of childbearing. Or what lead to women taking the leading roles in society as early men died so readily. Regardless, in Irakkis, though people can lead independent lives, there are points of office or social order that can only be achieved by a woman. Men cannot hold political office, inherit leadership of a house, study arcana, bear a sword, serve in the military, or command women. Another interesting quirk, however, is that in Irakkis, so intimately is the concept of childbearing tied with womanhood, that it is seen as a fundamental feature to a woman's presentation of herself. This has several interesting consequences, and is likely how Irakkis remains so expansive despite the many hostilities it can face. Women's fashion is designed, alongside the hot climate, to either emphasize or expose the wearer's gravidity, often leaving such things entirely uncovered. Even the armour of gladiators and retainers is designed to be similarly revealing. Even the use of oils, herbs, tinctures and alchemy are common, to enhance or preserve this impression of motherhood and fertility. Of course, for all their matriarchism, even the high Priestess' of Irakkis cannot ignore the truths of biology, and for as many barriers as there are to men, there are almost an equal number of loopholes. Men cannot serve in the armies, but auxiliary's and mercenaries can be found on the boarders, often outnumbering guardswomen 20-1, or even within the very capital itself. They cannot bear swords or spears, armour or shields, true. But knives, cudgels and even lumber axes are permitted. While in the courts noblewomen may elect to send a representative speaker, letting them attend meetings and speak in their stead while they rest. Some consider this a dangerous degeneration of society, while others consider it an inevitability, or a secret blessing.
