Not sure if it belongs here since this game removed all character and weapon gacha mechanics but I feel like the people of this board would still like it. Game plays like if an open world gacha like Genshin or Wuthering Waves had a baby with Warframe and this is the result. >>1307665 To be fair most gachas are designed to trick people into thinking it's easier than it actually is and making them roll. But yeah, i'm agreeing. I mean 70 rolls is the minimum with the bonus roll thingies, but even then you definitely want to guarantee you hit pity at the very minimum. People who don't will get cucked, if not now eventually.
>>1307565 > expecting that you will not be unlucky and just simply hit at EX value is the said insanity. I don't see why expected value is even needed for this. You are guaranteed gold-tier within 90 rolls. You get 70 rolls, get 15 free rolls in the process, use those rolls and claim another 5 from the 80th roll to roll a total of 90 times. There is no need to buy any more than 70 rolls if someone only wants the skin. I am not assuming any luck here. This does not change even if the base/overall drop rate was 0.0001%. It would be more insane to say the real price for the skin is $250 because people are supposed to buy 90 rolls for it. > surprisingly not THAT cheaper if you are not going for the biggest pack, getting more plums that you need in the process. It doesn't matter if you don't go for the biggest pack, everything above the $5 one is about the same exchange rate. In fact, the $100 pack is the least efficient among the $15+ packs, at least in USD. 10 free rolls is still going to be worth around $25 in plumules. >>1307578 I am not factoring in the bonus rolls for launch gifts. So far they've given 10 for Psyche and Fina release login events. The prism store is stated to refresh every month for 5 more. Those are the only non-paid sources I'm considering since it appears that they are on a monthly refresh. >>1307665 When did I ever mention or imply easy banner gets? My original message is about the actual price of the gacha skin assuming someone gets it through the guarantee. You cannot get any unluckier than that.
>>1307565 >so there must be some extra pity, I assume at the "end" of the 90 rolls. As I dont know where that lies (am I blind?) it could be an increased rate on the 89th roll for all I know First chink anime game? DNA copied a lot from genshin including its gacha banner system. So, DNA predictably functions the same way. Hard pity at 90. Soft pity starting around ~75. This is my data after rolling until soft pity twice on Psyche's banner. >78 >79 And the standard skin banner >81 Completely in line with my genshin experience and other gachas that copied hoyo. I also never had to hit hard pity in those gachas. It's rather rare for that to happen. Assuming they keep the "spend 20 get 5 back" system, ~70 roll estimate is actually too high. It's closer to 60 >60 + (5+5+5) + 5 rolls from prism shop = ~80 And this doesn't even account for the free rolls from events like Message of the Nightingale and included rolls from paid battle pass. AND the fact that you can roll gold drop before soft pity. That said, focusing on the average number required to hit gold drop once on the limited banner is missing the forest for the trees. A lot of players would want the weapon skin as well, which may require hitting gold drop twice, unless you luckshit 50 prisms. That's why they give you back 10 rolls at 100, to incentivize players to keep rolling after getting the skin.
>>1307966 there's no such thing as "soft pity" it's a weighted chance system it starts off as 0.000~1 and then climbs as you pull, Hoyo did not invent this system the range that people call "soft pity" is just the threshold where it becomes most probable for most sessions to stop at, but you can technically win at 1 or lose until pity (which is exponentially harder than winning at 1 btw)
I've heard people talk about how to influencing enemy spawns, especially in missions like Hedge, to help complete the mission faster. How do I do this? I don't want to give any some random YouTuber a view trying to look it up. They'll take 20 minutes to explain something that takes two sentences.
>>1309007 first off set crowd density to max, this affects spawns in solo for whatever reason as far as I know, what people mean by that is sitting in a spot where enemies spawn close enough to you that they get instantly killed by something like Rebecca's Jellyfishes or Fina's field there's one spot like that in the mines, close to the elevator, which is very popular in lv30 Exploration to farm clues, and you can finaggle your way into a position that has enough spawns close to you to get it pretty fast I'm sure eventually someone will catalog all the magic spots
>>1307966 >First chink anime game? No, but the first one where these numbers are not yet community farmed. I also want to note that the overall drop rate differs here from genshin (1.42% vs 1.60%). The flat rate for a gold drop is "half" here too compared to genshin (0.3% vs 0.6%). The pity IS different, and we dont know how. Picrel is form genshin, sauce: https://www.hoyolab.com/article/497840 >That said, focusing on the average number required to hit gold drop once on the limited banner is missing the forest for the trees. A lot of players would want the weapon skin as well Agreed, as calculated above, we were talking about the money needed to secure the banner skin only (including the free rolls), if you want the weapon too, it obviously gets pricier. I was throwing around the expected values to show Anon that this type of system is extremely jewish, and every inch of it is meant to manipulate you. Building extra layers of attachment to a given character if someone has the event-limited skin. I've played genshing for ~2 years, since then I was only frequent to Arknights, and I forgot how jewish things can get... >>1309007 Only my surface level observations, but mobs have a set of spawn points, these points have a range from you where they are active, so you can sit at certain spots where you have vision to all the active spawns, speding up the killing process.
i6 nifle really trivializes a lot of content doesn't she

>>1309165 >genshing for ~2 years, since then I was only frequent to Arknights Kek you are literally me >this type of system is extremely jewish, and every inch of it is meant to manipulate you Yep, they made the weapon skin cost 18 fucking prisms. These chinkjews couldn't just price them at 12 prisms so you could afford two weapon skins if you get 25 prisms. If you roll until gold drop twice and don't get the lucky 50 prism drop, you potentially have to roll until gold twice again in the next banner. The real FOMO isn't the limited skin but the limited skin + weapon skin combo. Diabolical.
>>1309136 >first off set crowd density to max, this affects spawns in solo for whatever reason I hear this doesn't actually work, did you test it?
Lisbell feels like the only character I'm actually playing the game on Especially after you get Guixu, weapon swapping to power up and then rocking off slams is such a good gameplay loop
>>1311963 Jeah she is peak, I will finally hit i6 on her next week. Hope we get a kino skin for her. I must consoom.
Lisbell would be better if she was a hag with big tits
I hope Hilda doesn't take too long to get to us, I really like her style I don't know what any of the Huaxu characters do
>>1309901 I don't see how that's more jewish than doing that but with actual content (characters+weapons)? you mentioned gayshit, that game has had a woman tax since Sumeru where if you don't roll for C1~2 your female 5* is half a character, then you have the weapon, and then on top of all that there's usually a 4* support who provides an immense DPS increase to her at C6- with ZERO way to guarantee it and people can get to C4 of the 5* without getting the 4* to C6 I agree that the entire shop is overpriced to a comical degree, but it is just skins and accessories at the end of the day I log in on Fina release day and get her to i2 in a couple hours for free and she's fully functional, you really can't beat that as far as chink/gook games go, with the exception of TFD which is still expensive but not nearly as much
>>1313457 That was not the point of the conversation you're just making up a strawman. It's the second dumb post too. Thank god for ids
>>1312067 The weapon swapping guy looks cool. Here's hoping they sort out the balance on consonance weapons and pseudo-consonance weapons by the time he rolls around.
>>1313491 what was the point then?
>>1313457 >I don't see how that's more jewish than doing that but with actual content (characters+weapons)? It's not more jewish than gacha games but at some point you have to stop using this excuse to let the devs get away with everything. This isn't a gacha game anymore and it isn't competing with gacha games but regular live-service games like Warframe and TFD. >I agree that the entire shop is overpriced to a comical degree, but it is just skins and accessories at the end of the day Putting aside the "it's just le cosmetics" excuse, it is, in fact, not just cosmetics that are obscenely overpriced but everything. $60 per character copy and $50 per weapon copy when you need 7 of each is completely disconnected from reality. Even just going from i2 to i6 would cost $240 for a single character. Nobody other than people who would literally spend $1000/m would spend that kinda money and those people are an extreme minority while no one is going to spend $60 on a character when all that amounts to is getting i6 a week early while it still takes a month.

>>1314572 yeah I cannot imagine any reasonable person would think those prices are anywhere in the realm of being worth it. the only "affordable" money traps in the game are drop rate books, and those are pretty egregious as well in terms of characters and weapons, the weeklies do suck, and the introns are considerable power boosts (depending on the character, some are just unsalvageable) but you're most definitely not barred from any content whatsoever right now just because your Rhythm is i0, as there are plenty of easily obtainable options that let you breeze through the content, the point being that there is zero urgency or FOMO or anything that would push someone into making that purchase as I said the prices themselves are insane across the board, but they are so insane that I think the only reasonable explanation is that they don't know which price ranges would actually work and they set the bar really low so that any adjustments will be met positively in short, they're testing the waters, I cannot imagine they're going to keep those Fina accessories at $10~15 a pop forever I can see why some would think that's giving some random chink devs too much credit, but they did get rid of the gacha and restructured their entire game in a pretty short time, so I'll give them some leeway and time- case in point, the survey asked a lot of questions about monetization, including "would you prefer gacha or 1 purchase for skins?" if in a year from now I'm still looking at $100~300 of gacha for a skin, I won't be sticking around, and in the meanwhile I don't feel pressed to spend any money (that'll change with picrel, if the CCP doesn't rape her)
wedge grind for lumino is brutal, god damn I hope 1.1 powercreeps a better farm for lights
>barrel finally drops after 16 runs >new schematic drop AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>1320531 Thats a kick in the teeth. I had a blueprint take 17 letters but at least i had everything else by then.
Dev stream on the 12th https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea33bV3L-LI I hope it won't be just about the new chinkland and they will address the horrible balancing and say they're planning or making weapons usable
>>1363960 I'm worried that the game might not survive months of chinawank. Hopefully the chinks prove me wrong by loving it and flocking to the game.
>>1365072 Chinawank has a bad reputation because no one else did it good. DNA devs proved they can do kino writing and stories, if there's one dev that can make chinawank and add a good story to it, its them
>>1363960 yes I hope we get more fun missions and characters The amount of content that wants you to AFK through it is too high
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh27eQkkVv0 TGA trailer looks like we're releasing to steam on the 23rd too
>>1375054 >one month delay for Steamfags >they missed Psyche lmao Also, 10 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea33bV3L-LI
>THEWINDAWAKENING
WE SO BACK?
>DNA20251223 I think I missed one due to work. I like they will be increasing the character details, but I didn't read anything about improving weapons, so they're still SkillDMG stats sticks.
HUAXUAWAITS is the last one
I was very pleased with the stream Just 40 minutes of talking about improvements, that's what we need No specifics on weapon buffs but that's fine, they seem aware of it at least
>>1366157 >Chinawank has a bad reputation because no one else did it good Chinawank is objectively bad for non-Chinese audiences because Chinese is an objectively inscrutable language, it has nothing to do with quality or writing. I've been playing Where Winds Meet, which despite its atrocious cash shop ($500~800 to change hair color one time, no redos if you fuck up, one single hair style- Weapon skins $2000) is actually very nice and has pretty good writing, but despite enjoying the story I'd be absolutely lying to you if I said I remember more than 2 or 3 names of people or places. I am adamantly against localization when it comes to any language but Chinese and Korean. Japanese is a very neat and tidy language, you read words as you write them for the most part, so when someone says "Momiji Goto" or whatever, it's easy to remember, but when 5 Chinese characters in your story are named with different intonations of "Shu Zhongliang" that are all written the same, we're having a fucking problem- moreover the letters aren't read as they are written almost ever. In that example "Zhongliang" Zh=J , the first G is silent, the second a is an e and the last G is not silent. It's read Jonlieng, but the romanization is a whole other word. Also the Wuxia approach to magic takes a while to wrap your brain around, and is often nonsensical on purpose, superpowers turning on and off whenever the story requires them to.
