>>688585 I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm eager to try but also prepared to drop it at the drop of a hat.
>>695680 I hope farming & catching monsters isnt gachaified and you can play those whenever (and they are useful/cool) This is the only upcoming gacha Im interested in.
>>695680 weird, how come it's always compared to pokemans instead of the more similar aura kingdom playstyle
>>695680 What's the deal with the third image, better texture? At least they got meat for this kind of 3D genshin clone >>688585 The wait is killing me. It's the only thing that keeps me going.
>>703065 Those are guaranteed time gated. The furnace and egg stuff shown in the latest showcase are very similar to palword mechanic which have those. I think they said upgrade mat also comes from crafting or your farm, I'm not sure. What I don't want is genshin 50/50 system, I hope they keep their old monetization by selling cosmetic.
>>703065 Pretty sure those Cards to catch the Kibos are crafted and you can see here on the right side that one of the Kibos is crafting those cards you use to catch them. I am going to assume the different cards take different resources, with higher "level" cards taking rarer resources (or more advanced?). >>713609 Yeah the third image is a before and after. The before should be the model they showed off in the first gameplay trailer when the game was revealed and the after is how it looks now.
>>713637 It's so lame that it's a card that you don't even throw. I guess they got spooked by tendies patent scare.

>>713637 >Pretty sure those Cards to catch the Kibos are crafted Literally Palworld!
>>486910 Funny how the only noteworthy game to come from them recently is Wizardry and that was awhile ago now. Maybe there's a case for Im@s, although it has zero appeal to me. >>488800 You're wrong on two counts: Zero is in the middle of the pack at best and FGO is rancid dogshit.

I've always been annoyed by how boring autobattlers are visually >BA: characters just stand and shoot, does a fancy animation for the ult >Starseed: characters just stand and melee, does a fancy animation for the ult >that upcoming motorcycle one: despite being on fucking motorbikes all they do is basically sit still and shoot and do a fancy animation for skills I've always thought the one thing limiting games from being the spectacles you see in anime is that it's just not possible to map it all to a controller. By that logic then, removing the controller and letting units act freely as they do in autobattlers should allow for fighting as dynamic as that. Instead, autobattlers are all less dynamic than games where you're actually in control. Then today I learned of Virtual Circle, a game with similar gameplay to Uma, but the racing replaced with fighting. The combat actually looks really good, and it's exactly what I was looking for. Except it seems I've been hit by the largest goddamn monkey's paw in existence: every character is apparently some actual chink vtuber. I don't care about vtubers, and knowing all the dramafaggotry that comes with them makes me feel like this game's gonna doa. Fuck me, I guess
Epic games is suing Epidgames, the Trickcal devs.
>>854012 Should have called themselves Ebin Games
CZN Test soon
Anyone else get into the Kaleidorider test?
>Duet Night Abyss removed the gacha for character, banners and stamina >you get everything for free and can farm gear infinitely for free Does it still qualify as a gacha game?
>>887871 Also from the stream. You simply farm character currency and redeem whatever character you want at any point from a shop, like Limbus but no banners at all, just get the character with no FOMO and no gambling. You have to play and grind for them tho. You can still spend money if you don't want to grind and skins will also be purchasable.
>>887871 >>887982 This is a good thing, Warframe is the best possible system for F2P game. I wish more games were as F2P friendly as Warframe. You can get literally everything for free or pay to skip the grind and the grind is not even that bad. I give DNA a try when it drops.
>>887871 Really interesting move. I'll give the game a try for that alone. Especially as someone that's been playing Warframe for more than a decade now, we really need more games to adopt a monetization system like that.
>>889273 I'm surprised they did not adopt a "hybrid" system, you roll gacha for the first copy, but can grind out the other copies. The true test will be just how bad the grind is for a F2P, in Warframe, if you choose not to engage with the player market, you can grind out a new Prime in about 2 weeks of casual play with the worst possible luck.
>>427038 >gacha system removed So it's just a pure MMO now? Count me in.

Guys, I can't take it anymore. I won't wait until I get to level 40 before I can finally explore Fontaine. Today, I'm gonna illegally trespass into the land of Justice by parachuting into it! Wish me good lick!

>Japan’s gacha game industry in a “sinking Titanic-phase,” developer says. Switching to console game development not an easy solution for many https://archive.ph/s8dGo <Prompted by the recent announcements by Square Enix, mobile game developer Suemaru commented on X, “Dragon Quest of the Stars and FF Brave Exvius are shutting down. As someone active in the industry, I once again feel that gacha games are becoming like the Titanic. Staying in this industry means clinging to one of the limited spots on a sinking ship. I don’t think all of it will go under, but the number of seats that can stay afloat will keep shrinking.” <Japan’s mobile scene has long-running hits like Fate/Grand Order, Monster Strike and Puzzles and Dragons that have managed to stay profitable for over a decade (the “limited seats”), but even the companies behind them, like Puzzle and Dragons developer GungHo, have struggled to produce any new hits in the meantime (Related Article). Moreover, recent high-budget projects like Aniplex’s Tribe Nine have suffered shutdowns in mere months following launch. <Amidst such circumstances, Suemaru feels like his career has reached a limit. “Even if I continue as a gacha game director, I won’t see my income grow. I also don’t know how long I’ll even have my ‘seat’ for.” On the other hand, he doesn’t see an easy path towards changing fields. <Alwei, representative of Indie-Us Games, a Japanese company specializing in Unreal Engine development, adds that “It’s already so hard to get off [the sinking ship], and yet the industry is clearly in a decline. Moving from Japanese-style mobile game development into console game development is very difficult, even though the opposite is simple. People who’ve built their entire career in mobile games are facing an extremely troubling situation.” Suemaru confirms that this is precisely the problem he’s now struggling with, as 100% of his career has involved managing online mobile games. <This seems to be an issue that particularly affects Japanese devs working as mobile game planners (a position most similar to game designers in the West). JohnnyGameStudio comments, “The people in planning positions at mobile game companies have skills that aren’t easily transferable to console games or other fields, so they can’t switch jobs unlike artists and programmers.” <Part of the issue also stems from technological requirements, as Alwei explains, “The console sector values skills in complex, polished action gameplay and high-end graphics technology. These are skills you can apply as-is to mobile games. But for mobile games, server technology is indispensable, yet it’s not essential for console games, so demand is low. Console games also have strict TRCs (technical requirements checks) imposed by the platform holders, which makes prior experience a huge advantage.”
>>927157 The Japanese are in the past when it comes to gacha design, Not surprised, their entire culture is slow to adapt.
>>927157 >bunch of old retards GD lamenting that people are tired of being milked by their pre-2010 slops meanwhile >uma making trillions on global just by re-releasing >gakumasu, Heaven Burn Red, DOAXVV, dolphin wave all found their niches the industry isnt dying, its simply moving on without these incompetent maggots
After the events of the story and seed's agent story. Captain Magus has determined that her girls have completed their coming-of-age character development arcs and is now moving her plans to phase 2. Which is pawning them off the the most decent guy she could find. Orphie will have to go last, being physically attached and all. But it doesn't hurt to pair her with the best candidate so far
>>945596 What upcoming gacha game is this?
>>887358 Yeah. I forgot to check my promotion tab for like weeks so I thought I missed out
Do we get the next main chapter soon? I forget.

GOOD NEWS CHEEK BROS! Office launce date! https://x.com/trickcal_en/status/1966320864967995496
>Japanese gamers’ average gacha spending per user high enough to offset mobile market shrinkage, study shows https://archive.ph/P05jh <According to the report (which analyzes data from the App Store and Play Store), Japan’s mobile market saw annual downloads (new user acquisition) reach 628 million in the past year, which is a downward trend from 2020. On the other hand, revenue from in-app purchases remained strong, surpassing $11 billion (second only to China at $11.5 billion). <Sensor Tower says that Japan has an “exceptionally high” average revenue per user (ARPU), which means Japanese players are willing to spend a significant amount of money of gacha and other microtransactions. What’s interesting is that more than 80% of downloads of Japanese mobile games actually come from overseas, but nearly 70% of revenue still comes from Japanese players. <... <“Despite a slightly shrinking market, ARPU continues to achieve significant profitability, supported by an enthusiastic player base and efficient monetization strategies,” Sensor Tower notes. According to the report, gacha RPGs seem to be the best at attracting high-spending core players.
