Looking forward to it personally and would definitely love more people to talk about it with but can't really make a thread about a game that isn't out because there's not a lot to talk about until CBT2 hits.
>>427038 I heard the game moved away some from its warframe style movement to something that's closer to Genshin, is that true?
>>431250 No, it's still the same movement. It's something like if Warframe and Genshin had a baby I guess because it's a "Genshin-like" open world but borrows a lot of stuff from Warframe like the bullet jump, the mission types, the mod system and others. Recruitment for the CBT ends around in a week so the beta should be happening around then.

There's the Mihoyo pokémon-esque game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwFlRZFGkcI
Silver Palace: https://silverpalace.elementagames.com/en-us/ Looks like a bloodborne clone with the typical generic gacha looks we've come to expect. Gameplay showcase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIayGbWakgk Reveal Trailer: https://youtu.be/Z5UO07yx4MA Honestly, I'm so starved for Bloodborne like games that I'm willing to try anything. The Victorian era theming is fresh for the gacha scene. If all the music in the game is along the lines of what's been previewed, that'd be nice too. The "horse" looks like it was ripped from warframes horse mechanic. I'm going to give it a fair shake.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rs40AGfEv60 https://stellasora.global/ >Stella Sora is a top-down, light-action adventure game developed by YOSTAR. I liked the closed beta test. The first story about avoiding getting scammed was interesting, even though the initial characters are on the plain side personally. The other characters seem fine, most of them are lolis but there's a couple women. The protagonist's personality is that he's analytical. The gameplay is brainless due to the low dificulty, you attack monsters in a dungeon while activating both of your supports, there's also roguelike elements between the floors of the dungeon
Third time's the charm huh
Are there any non-Chink gachage coming? I am getting tired of these titles trying to become the next normalfag gacha like Genshin.

>>459377 >Japanese gacha They have given up on the market. The only games they release are cheap anime tie-in.
You can now wishlist Blue Archive on steam, and there's some free gibs for reaching a couple milestones.
>>461261 Really hoping they make it a waifuge. Any news lately? I know they dropped a new trailer, but I don't think they kept revealing new stuff.
I like the look of too many of these. Wish I could just need 24/7 and play gachaa.
Azur Promilia looks like the very definition of too little too late to me, with games like GFL2 already out and Endfield as well as Silver Palace on the horizon, the game just seems to be lagging behind the rest. Even ZZZ/Wuwa looks graphically more impressive than it. And the combat is the very definition of nothing special. The pokemon gimmick also looks like it will get stolen by the upcoming mihoyo game and probably done more extensively as well since that one will be a dedicated monster battler instead of the weird action combat hybrid. The azure lane devs should have stuck with what they know best instead of this moe pokemon shit and capitalized on the fan service but the subpar graphics combined with the cutesy designs are going to give this game a hard time in competing with future gachas even if they went all in on the gooning elements in the future. I just don't see anything uniquely appealing about this game, I am sure it will find a niche but it probably would have been way more successful if it released like 1-2 years ago.
>>485436 You make fair points. The gacha category is cutthroat and ruthless and a Pokémon clone needs a major draw to keep its head above the water. Azure Lane is popular mainly because of sexy girls. So they need to focus that first, that is good designs. I wish some Gacha games would stop trying for "ultras graphics" and such and instead try more riskily stylized visual looks. >>451905 Looks great and it is a simple, eye pleasing style.
I used to play Japanese gacha and now they have all becoming Chinese. What happened. How do i cope as a freedom loving american. I am now playing and spending in game from our arch rival
>>435424 I remember seeing this on my feed too. I like that one girl, Shikibu, so I may give it a try. No PC client is rough, but maybe my phone can handle it.
>>486910 Yeah, it is funny how China overtook Japan as the powerhouse of gacha. I'd like to know how that happened myself.
>>487044 Japan is slow to the uptake and they refuse to evolve past their antiquated ways. Just look at fgo, they had the basis for a beautiful modern version of the game for years in the arcade version yet they lacked the foresight to make use of those assets outside of japanese arcades. Even if they eventually decide to modernize fgo or release it as some sort of a sequel, it would be too little too late for most people. Japan's own business culture basically wasted the headstart they had in the market. New japanese gacha even struggle to find a market at this point (see tribe nine eos). The only ones that are financially successful are either low effort cash grabs from pre established IPs that don't last long or very niche games with little to no appeal outside of Japan (Uma Musume for example). Let alone china, even Korea has almost caught up to Japan in the international market.
>>487427 It's not just that Japan is stuck in the 90s, it's that they're stuck in the 90s without actually producing good stuff from that era. We just haven't gotten anything remotely good for a long time, yet alone something that was designed for an international market.
>>485436 Endfield looks cool but I'm just not interested at Chinese games at this point. They're forced to be retarded at the behest of their censorship politburo. I'd rather not deal with that ever again.
>>488398 Ehh it's really not that big of a deal for me. Chinese games can push the limits as much as the rest if they are just willing to make some compromises with the Chinese version, everything in global is fair game. China is just making the best gachas at this point, I am not going to miss out on them for something like that when it really isn't even a big issue.
>>488419 The only gacha that has pushed its limits was the Girls Frontline franchise and there's a reason why its barely popular in China. Yostar moved most of their operations to Japan. Mihoyo is a shell of its former self and soon Hyperglyph too with Endsneed. This push for normalfaggotry, hype kulchur, and CCP's interests with the vidya market is not making me bullish at Chink gacha in the long run.
(2.80 MB 608x1080 1748131491316844.webm)

>>488435 I am not sure why you are saying this for Endfield. It looks fine to me, Arknights was never some goonfest, the character designs are consistent with the first game. >mihoyo is a shell of its former self ZZZ is a big step up from genshin and star rail so it's not as bad as you make it. They couldn't even do bunny suits in HI3 so mihoyo was never all that good to begin with
>>488474 Endfield's dumbass retarded CBT plot aimed for the lowest common denominator is really turning me from the game off. I'd rather just play modded Factorio, Rimworld or any real PC game if I wanted my autistic fix.
>>488529 >plot Is the story the issue here? A bit of a weird heel to die on because pretty much every gacha I can think of has an awful storyline. Even gachas with supposedly good stories are just serviceable at best.
>>488549 *hill
>>488549 Most of the niche Japanese stuff I played had good storylines. I think Chinks can do them as well if they try and not revert into powerlevel female fantasy Xianxia bullshit. Chinese otaku culture is also very deliberately feminine and the most recent chinese gacha games are leaning so hard towards Chinawanking.
>>488591 I sense a bit of bias towards japanese here so I have to ask, what are those gachas with good storylines you are talking about? Something tells me you are just too used to japanese culture and storytelling to the point where you habitually ignore their flaws.
>>488610 I've played World Flipper and Heaven Burns Red. A small sample sure but they never chicken-out with heavy subjects unlike the newer gacha games. ZZZ was almost like this but Mihoyo just won't allow them to commit to it.
>>488623 Off the top of my head, the ZZZ story features themes of >slavery >human experimentation >magic AIDs (pretty much literally) >PTSD >religious extremism >ritual sacrifice >corporate and government corruption >suicide They're not always written the best, but it's pretty heavy if you ask me.
>>488656 I think I worded that wrong. What I meant is that the plot allows the characters to grow and live with the consequences of their actions. The character roster of both games are also smaller and with a core cast that the story revolves around to. I think the Japanese are just better storytellers despite not having all the intellect Tsinghua technocrats running the Chink gacha industry have. Consequently, the Tsinghua technocrats do not have the whimsy, the ability to self-reflect (their government doesnt allow them), nor the heart Japs have to their craft.
>>488623 I am not familiar with either so I can't comment but as far as mihoyo goes, they were never good storytellers. Their most popular writer Shaoji is about as big of a fraud as you can get in writing. He has totally tanked star rails story and anything that can be considered "good" in his previous works is drowned in a sea of bad storytelling with some emotional appeals in between to make people think they are actually reading anything worthwhile. ZZZ is actually one of the better written mihoyo game in my opinion. Partially because isn't a very serious story, focusing on making it more of a fun experience rather than attempting and failing to make some deep emotional plot that will just fall flat. ZZZ storytelling is fun and inoffensive most of the time and that's it's strength, it's not trying to be more they it is. Its not anything great by any means but they are not trying to pretend to be anything great either in the first place. And even in the occasion when they tackle more serious aspects, they are very mature about it without driving the point too hard or getting lost in their own ass like Shaoji always does. HI3 and basically all of shaojis works read exactly the opposite, someone that thinks they are capable of writing something good but always fail in doing so. He replies on cheap emotional appeals to create interest before everything eventually falls flat due the cheaply created emotion inevitably wearing out because to his inability to actually write anything good despite his very self important storytelling.

>>488745 Forgot pic
>>488697 I don't know man, even if you look at one of the most popular japanese gachas, fgo, the storytelling there is very average. If we are judging purely on storytelling, I actually think the Koreans are stronger than both the Japanese and the Chinese. I will probably get some shit for this because fate fans really think fate is some amazingly written story but the best thing about fate is fate zero and that wasn't even written by Nasu.
There's Japanese stuff I'd like to play (Idolm@ster) but they will never fucking translate or release it outside of Japan (Idolm@ster).
(105.76 KB 1637x1006 129916616_p0.png)

>>425960 Good thread. So many new interesting games and all free!
>>486910 Because gacha in japan has always been a way to get huge returns-on-the money by using a tiny dev budget to cash in on free money from fans/otakus. The few games that get big budgets just expand on that same low-budget culture / design language but spend more on seiyuus or animation (look at sakura wars mobile). Japanese studios just aren't interested in spending money on gameplay -- first because the whole point is usually to milk fans with a LOW amount of money put in, and second because if they wanted to do in-depth development they could get similar returns from a PS/Switch game. Meanwhile china is a lot poorer on average and has way more gamers that only own a phone and no consoles, so the studios that would otherwise be making mid budget console games instead make f2p phone games with actual gameplay.
>>432846 How the fuck is that dude shooting that drink into that glass like that? Is that how anime power?
>>495819 Clicked the wrong post meant for >>433128
>>443261 pretty much the only gacha I'm actively looking forward too because the parkour gimmick in an urban city sounds great too bad the team's been radio silent since December. And before that they were radio silent for about a year too...
>>508222 Not uncommon, A relatively new team makes an announce with lots of big flashy features, then is smashed in the face with the reality of phone tech still being mostly shit for gaming.
>>460132 I got it and played a lot, pretty neat game and already really polished for the first beta, it needs some minor changes, a lot more of interactions that will most likely be added on release, and co-op/guilds.
Millenium Tour ELF "Global" (EU and SEA lol) randomly came out around a week ago under the name Mirren, published by CR (lol). Idk where they're going with this considering the original server eos'd some time ago (to separate from bilibili, not the game's fault, they're working on a reboot that'll probably be self-published), though I saw some skins ingame that weren't in CN, so maybe they have a plan idk. It's one of the best turn based games out there and still worth playing even if it probably won't last very long, just avoid spending money. The gameplay is great, the fanservice is great even if you can see some mandated censorship here and there, there is a ton of game modes to play even without stamina, the only thing that sucks ASS is the story, it reads like unedited MTL, but from reading it I got a feeling it is not that good even if it was properly translated. Slam that skip button. If you're like me and wanted to give this game a try ever since it came out in CN, this is the time. Even if they end up not making any original content, the game should still be able to last at least a year, and by then maybe the reboot will be done, who knows.
>>513994 Just looked up some quick info. An Elf focused game could find a niche, but crunchyroll is somehow involved and that is never a good sign.

New gacha rpg "This is both the end and the beginning." Rewinding Cadence just released a teaser for its full announcement trailer, set to drop on 6/11. People hinting at open world. Made by a studio that was invested by Bytedance(Tiktok) and Tencent
>>517887 I didn't... I wanted to try anime warframe.
>>513994 I have been playing it for a bit now. The gacha itself is pretty fair since they use the wishlist feature on standard banners, and it doesn't appear you can fail any hard pity. The "weapon" costs half the currency to roll. My characters are around lvl 70 so far. Something that may scare some away is rune gear in this game is a blatant rip off of genshin artifacts but with 2 main rng stats.
(287.17 KB 1221x962 Screenshot 2025-06-05 162702.jpg)

>>524221 Yeah, the game is very well designed overall, the rune system is annoying but you only really need to optimize them for your damage dealer, the supports can cope with just the set bonus for a while, Aside from that I don't have any big complaints with how the other systems work. I guess if I had to nitpick, the enemy CP often feels inaccurate, like with the chapter 5 dragon fight, but that's about it.

>>513994 Small update, I decided to check out the d**cord to see if there were any coupon codes or other free shit and I found this. So apparently the reboot I mentioned will still happen but only for CN, while global is gonna be stuck with CR. Oh, and there's an NA server too, I guess I just couldn't see it because I'm not NA lol. A bit annoying news to me since a lot of people are going to see CR and just forget about trying it out immediately, which is a damn shame because this game deserves better, but it is what it is. I'm starting to really dig Stella Sora's art style. Hoping they release with a better gacha system than what they had in beta, I already whale on one game, not spending money on another without generous guarantees.
>>602251 >Microshorts kot Damn it, I've signed up for too many beta already.
>>602251 I hadn't heard of this, but this seems very appealing. I feel like I've preregistered for at least 5 different games now and none of them have launched yet reeee Is there about to be a big dump of a bunch of new gacha all at once soon? It feels that way.
>>596897 It's out and I've been playing it. Would anyone be interested in a general? I don't really wanna do it if it's just me though...

>>526066 This looks fun. Hope it turns out well.
Anything that actually got released recently? >>596897 Do I have to play previous persona game to enjoy it? I barely remember half-finishing P3 I emulated years ago.
>>624490 >Do I have to play previous persona game to enjoy it? It is more or less an alternate take on Persona 5. So no you don't need to, though P5 fans get more out of it. The question is if I don't like Persona why do you want to play a Persona gacha?
>>624623 >I don't like Persona I never said that. There's barely any new gacha this year that interest me
>>616516 >>633271 His final form was slammin'
>>526066 Preregistration is up now but no release date.
>>526066 https://youtu.be/3_B2-jaHAmQ?si=nPlU0b0zFlMbge-v I'm watching this trailer right now, and I have to say, it's weird that the gameplay loop sounds exactly like Stella Sora. >Story Mode >Roguelite mode where you start with a basic kit and get buffs as the stage progress >after a complete run, the upgrades that won you the run get "saved", and that's what you use in the Story Mode and farming stages (aka can't just plug and play units you want) The card aspect just seems like a way to reduce consistency (e.g. shit my hand is bricked I didn't draw the combo I need, better restart the run) to artificially inflate the playtime in hindsight. Are these mechanics an "inspiration" from an older gacha I don't know of? Because I can't believe they developed such a similar gameplay loop separately.
>>666477 that is basically the easiest way to add variety to a repetitive gameplay loop
>>666477 Kind of the same way Uma Musume works. I like it, though. Basically the reward for having a great run is that you can use those characters for "postgame" content, if you will.
Never seen anyone talk about this one before but it looks pretty cute, the official channel has been posting daily L2Ds now, I wonder if it's releasing soon https://youtu.be/lRkoNF_iBco?si=afLvj1EMd9rSiPN5
I'm waiting to see more of Unending Dawn. >>433128 Stopped caring about this when I saw it has QTEs in combat.
I'm only looking forward Kaleidorider. Haven't seen anything else that panders to the harem demographic this blatantly.
>>526066 >>669676 I love how gooks are taking the mantle Mihoyo has abandoned and are now creating their own Honkai clones. Honkai was huge in Korea afterall. Still disappointed that they're all turn-based but oh well.
>>678282 I hope they keep doing lolis, specially erotic ones
who else is excited about Azur Promilia?
>>688585 I really look forward to it. Especially because it looks to have thins to grind which aren't just different RNG stats. It's also nice to see that the age rating went up. Means we'll be able to get the panties to see. Like in the first trailer you could see her wearing spats, now they are gone. Honestly the game looks just overall better now than it did back then. I do hope it comes soon.

>>688585 I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm eager to try but also prepared to drop it at the drop of a hat.
>>695680 I hope farming & catching monsters isnt gachaified and you can play those whenever (and they are useful/cool) This is the only upcoming gacha Im interested in.
>>695680 weird, how come it's always compared to pokemans instead of the more similar aura kingdom playstyle
>>695680 What's the deal with the third image, better texture? At least they got meat for this kind of 3D genshin clone >>688585 The wait is killing me. It's the only thing that keeps me going.
>>703065 Those are guaranteed time gated. The furnace and egg stuff shown in the latest showcase are very similar to palword mechanic which have those. I think they said upgrade mat also comes from crafting or your farm, I'm not sure. What I don't want is genshin 50/50 system, I hope they keep their old monetization by selling cosmetic.
>>703065 Pretty sure those Cards to catch the Kibos are crafted and you can see here on the right side that one of the Kibos is crafting those cards you use to catch them. I am going to assume the different cards take different resources, with higher "level" cards taking rarer resources (or more advanced?). >>713609 Yeah the third image is a before and after. The before should be the model they showed off in the first gameplay trailer when the game was revealed and the after is how it looks now.
>>713637 It's so lame that it's a card that you don't even throw. I guess they got spooked by tendies patent scare.

>>713637 >Pretty sure those Cards to catch the Kibos are crafted Literally Palworld!
>>486910 Funny how the only noteworthy game to come from them recently is Wizardry and that was awhile ago now. Maybe there's a case for Im@s, although it has zero appeal to me. >>488800 You're wrong on two counts: Zero is in the middle of the pack at best and FGO is rancid dogshit.

I've always been annoyed by how boring autobattlers are visually >BA: characters just stand and shoot, does a fancy animation for the ult >Starseed: characters just stand and melee, does a fancy animation for the ult >that upcoming motorcycle one: despite being on fucking motorbikes all they do is basically sit still and shoot and do a fancy animation for skills I've always thought the one thing limiting games from being the spectacles you see in anime is that it's just not possible to map it all to a controller. By that logic then, removing the controller and letting units act freely as they do in autobattlers should allow for fighting as dynamic as that. Instead, autobattlers are all less dynamic than games where you're actually in control. Then today I learned of Virtual Circle, a game with similar gameplay to Uma, but the racing replaced with fighting. The combat actually looks really good, and it's exactly what I was looking for. Except it seems I've been hit by the largest goddamn monkey's paw in existence: every character is apparently some actual chink vtuber. I don't care about vtubers, and knowing all the dramafaggotry that comes with them makes me feel like this game's gonna doa. Fuck me, I guess
Epic games is suing Epidgames, the Trickcal devs.
>>854012 Should have called themselves Ebin Games
CZN Test soon
Anyone else get into the Kaleidorider test?
>Duet Night Abyss removed the gacha for character, banners and stamina >you get everything for free and can farm gear infinitely for free Does it still qualify as a gacha game?
>>887871 Also from the stream. You simply farm character currency and redeem whatever character you want at any point from a shop, like Limbus but no banners at all, just get the character with no FOMO and no gambling. You have to play and grind for them tho. You can still spend money if you don't want to grind and skins will also be purchasable.
>>887871 >>887982 This is a good thing, Warframe is the best possible system for F2P game. I wish more games were as F2P friendly as Warframe. You can get literally everything for free or pay to skip the grind and the grind is not even that bad. I give DNA a try when it drops.
>>887871 Really interesting move. I'll give the game a try for that alone. Especially as someone that's been playing Warframe for more than a decade now, we really need more games to adopt a monetization system like that.
>>889273 I'm surprised they did not adopt a "hybrid" system, you roll gacha for the first copy, but can grind out the other copies. The true test will be just how bad the grind is for a F2P, in Warframe, if you choose not to engage with the player market, you can grind out a new Prime in about 2 weeks of casual play with the worst possible luck.
>>427038 >gacha system removed So it's just a pure MMO now? Count me in.

Guys, I can't take it anymore. I won't wait until I get to level 40 before I can finally explore Fontaine. Today, I'm gonna illegally trespass into the land of Justice by parachuting into it! Wish me good lick!
