>Main story?
The early chapters of the main story are just a slog to read through. You can definitely tell they had a different set of writers from GFL1. In a bad way, a lot of stuff introduced were eventually faded from the spotlight as Mica brought on the GFL1 team and tried to make the timeline mesh better as they re-introduce characters from the first game for familiarity/nostalgia/fan-favorite/whatever you want to call it.
>Events-wise?
When Mica was preparing to release GFL2 to global, they were rushing to re-write a lot of the event stories to bring it up to a higher standard (rip Neural Cloud team). Never read the old (CN) events, so I can't compare before and after, but versus of the early main story chapters, the quality is definitely better. I like most of the events, but I can understand why others won't, since GFL in general has a lot more of technobabbling (some complain that the events are a waste, don't help progress the overall plot).
>Interactions?
Pretty much what
>>1050931 said. There's no equivalent of Nikke's advising nor Outpost encounters. There's are bond stories, but the last segment of a doll's bond story will be locked unless you oath (basically marriage mechanic) the doll. There's some kind of upcoming dorm roam update with character interactions, but this is [CURRENT_YEAR], so of course you gotta gacha for some character interactions. :)

Yeah. I liked how the original was very in-and-out, just SMG the boss down to 25% HP, then stomp on them. Now gotta run through 4 layers to get 100% rewards of a bounty. Sucks even more that I play on phone, sometimes I'd lag (despite using the lowest settings) and will get ambushed into battle, Really drags things out, ugh.
