Did you get all your religious lore from Shin Megami Tensei or something? Yes, the demon attributed to Lucifer is called Satan numerous times, most significantly in Revelation 12:9 which is where that title I used, the closest thing to an actual name (the Dragon called Satan) comes from. Satan is a shared title of
numerous entities, it means Adversary. It does not refer singularly to God's prosecutor, as you might have picked up from SMT.
Moreover. He did not commit the unforgiveable sin, which is blasphemy against the holy spirit. He committed open rebellion against God, which is an incredible, but still very forgivable sin. He is indeed one of the most evil things in existence, of course. But that does not make him "the embodiment of all evil". In christian theology, the devil is just a single evil agent in a world filled with evil. The biggest, yes. The embodiment, not at all.
>Angra is some literally who from a religion most people have never heard of except as a 'thus spoke zarathustra' reference and has nothing to do with anything we've been talking about.
First of all Zoroastrianism may be ancient, but it is not at all as obscure as you think. Second of all I was glibly using it because THE EMBODIMENT OF ALL EVIL is literally what Angra Mainyu is. As a dualistic mythology, everything that is evil is a result of Angra Mainyu. Every sickness, every petty theft, every time you stub your toe, it's Angra Mainyu cursing you and making your life worse, personally. All suffering, all negativity traces back to him and him alone, and he is the reason life is not perfect.
This, distinctly, is not what the devil is in christian thought. The devil certainly makes things worse, but evil simply is. He did not create it, he did not even make the bulk of it.
