Thoughts on the counter role fix going on in CN?
For those of you who don't know, there's been a bug in the game since its inception where conditional offensive modifiers such as the ATK increase Shield of Justice gives when you have a physical shield or Tristan's Burning Blood passive adding her MATK to her PATK completely ignore role counters. In other words, a portion of the damage formula is calculated at full normal value instead of being reduced when attacking roles that a unit has disadvantage against or increased when attacking roles a unit has advantage against.
What does this mean? Destroyers, most notably Tristan, get a damage decrease vs Watchers preventing her from unga bunging them with as much impunity, and while Estra's damage was so high she could even oneshot Defenders (just barely though), she's now failing to kill them in a single blow.
Afaik this hasn't been implemented in global yet, and it looks like it's being fixed in CN in tandem with Parcival's release because the devs realized he's a Destroyer and they don't want him doing too much damage.
CN playerbase seems pretty split over it. Some people are saying it's not a nerf, it's a legitmate bugfix and it should be done so that roles are more relevant in the game's strategy.
Others are saying since it's been in the game for over two years already it should be considered a feature and not a bug, and this hurts f2p because they can't just go all in investing in one dps like Tristan and will have to pull for more damage dealers to cover more roles, while whales are largely unaffected because they pull everything anyway.
