It's very funny when I hear anything about any hoyo game doing bad when it's clear they have way too much money and have no idea what the fuck to do with it, i mean what even is this really what niche is this filling, what games is this pulling it's playerbase from?

So the game is set in Singapore, and it looks like a 3D hack-n-slash Reverse 1999. I'm also going to assume this project is mainly managed by an overseas development team since we never got a CN dub on the teaser. I hope it's not just another gachaslop but Mihoyo's actual attempt at making a real game.

The moment Mihoyo decides that marketing Genshin is unprofitable, the cascading loss of interest will also come along with it. I think losing Genshit is gonna be a net-positive for Mihoyo either way since they will finally have to rethink their strategy. Instead of trying to please everyone on a single game, why not diversify and corner different niches instead of cross-pollinating cancer from one IP to the other *cough Genshitters cough? Either way, nothing's good that will come out from poaching HoK developers and over reliance on AI and will probably drag Mihoyo down with their bullshit lole.

AI is the key to industrialization and hyper productivity of content creation.
I think its pretty telling that Genshitters worship success more than their own game lol.
Whats even more telling is how "genshit" lives rent free in some peoples mind to the point where its failure is the only way to evict it from their heads

Genshin's co-op is a simulacra and completely optional. Devs barely even update any content for co-op while they would rather make a new subsection than breathe more life to it. What decides the game's longegivity is social activities in-game, not from outside IRL marketing collabs. Sucks that you have to derail this entire thread unrelated to Genshit just to gloat about Genshit but alas, the nature of a Genshitter is what it does.

Gameplay has a lot of Genshin elements but since this is so early in development and they're still recruiting people I imagine they just use Genshin as a template internally for early drafts
>>1281785 i really don't think that's going to be the final gameplay, this seemed more like their UE5 tech demo/proof of concept rather than a ready2ship product. i don't love the aesthetics but i like the seamless engine transition from gameplay to cutscenes, which is a step up from their current unity offerings, and the various physics/VFX/non-euclidean map design
