No clue about the easter egg thing about Leva's hand
___
Q: Popular characters from "1" such as "UMP45", "UMP9", and "RO635" appear in this title as "Leva", "Lenna", and "Robella". Please tell us the intentions behind their new names and designs, as well as the roles they play in the story of "2".
A: The name Lena/Lenna for UMP9 is an application of a description found in "1". On the other hand, Liva/Leva means "lion" in Russian. There is an episode where, when Kalina proposed renaming them, Lena/Lenna learned that her own name carried the meaning of "lion-like." Upon hearing this, she forcibly changed UMP45's name to Liva/Leva, which holds a meaning close to Lenna's own name. This was likely done to emphasize their sisterly bond.
Rovela/Robella (RO635)'s name is taken from the weapon she wields. In the "Deep Oblivion" story arc, Leva and Robella join the same mission for a certain reason, but in reality, their stances are in opposition. As the narrative's driving force, Leva possesses a doll-like, straightforward rationality. In contrast, Robella, who is a prototype for third-generation Dolls, possesses human-like emotions.
The contradictions and conflicts born from this difference are the highlights of this story. regarding Lenna, she occupies more of a sub-character position this time around.
Q: What points did you place importance on regarding the character settings and internal changes of Leva, Lenna, and Robella?
A: What we cherish the most is character growth. By possessing selves that differ from the past, Leva, Lenna, and Robella accomplish growth in their own respective directions. In "2", we want to depict a "secondary growth" based on their character traits from "1".
For instance, the Leva seen in the PV harbored various conflicts before joining the Non-Military Force Administration Bureau. However, in the end, she steels her resolve for the sake of her companions and steps forward onto a new journey. That can also be described as a growth distinct from the her of old.
Q: Do the combat styles and skills of Leva (UMP45), Lenna (UMP9), and Robella (RO635) follow the image and roles of the characters from "1"?
A: Since these three boasted high popularity even in "1",
we have followed the image so as not to deviate from the image of the previous work that everyone is used to. However, at the same time, we haven't forgotten to add new abilities and settings with the theme of "growth".
Taking Leva as an example, in "1" she was depicted as an extremely calm character, possessing a fox-like aloof appearance and superior electronic warfare capabilities. In "2", she appears in an
advisor-like role. Considering her experience leading everyone as the captain of Squad 404 in the past, and the fact that she left Squad 404 and took independent action,
her combat power has undoubtedly increased.
Therefore, in addition to greatly increasing her offensive power, we came up with a support ability using Superconductive Blitz due to her adaptability. There is a setting that the destructive power of the hand wearing the red glove is tremendous, and we have given it persuasiveness through the details of various movements.
There is a little trivia (Easter egg) here:
if you look closely at her model, the height of the fist Liva swings in "2" comes exactly to the position of the nose. This is a familiar joke/meme, isn't it?
For Lenna, who is Leva's younger sister figure, we gave her a "younger sister-ness" even in battle, and she
can recharge energy for her older sister Leva. We are never short on these kinds of little details on the battlefield.
"2" depicts the world 10 years after the Commander left Griffin. Two works born from the same worldview. Most Dolls are designed including such relationships and bonds,
but being able to turn your thoughts to how the Dolls have changed and grown over the 10 years is also the real thrill of "2", isn't it?
Q: Many new skins will be implemented in this update. Please tell us the themes and concepts for each.
A: In "2",
we are creating skins based on character settings and legacies from the past. For example, Leva's skin "Diamond Petals" is one of the skins that was highly popular in "1". The same goes for Centaureissi's skin; if you participate in the campaign, you can obtain the skin at quite a bargain, so please definitely give it a try.
Q: Please tell us about the appeal of the new systems, the "Crew Deck" and "Secret Records".
A: The Crew Deck is a space located inside the Elmo. The implementation of this feature is deeply related to the keywords of "Girls' Frontline" that I mentioned earlier: "Girls" and "Frontline." The Crew Deck acts like a
showcase space to display the element of "Girls".
It serves as a place to objectively show the Dolls' lives on the Elmo, their communication with the Commander, and how the "home" called Elmo—rich in warmth and narrative—has been nurtured together with the Commander. For example, there are mechanisms where
when Dolls working at Springfield's Café gather at the bar counter, a small interaction begins, or when Suomi and PPSh-41 are playing games, a small episode is born. We are waiting for all Commanders to discover such elements. In the future,
we plan to implement an outdoor pool area and a TV & sofa area.
The "Secret Records" is like a gift to the Commanders. Until now, Commanders have welcomed many Dolls to the Elmo and bought skins for them. We felt that even though Commanders were pouring their heart and soul into their favorite Dolls, the development side was not able to repay that enough.
Thus, the "Secret Records" is content implemented out of the thought: "Is there a good way to give something back?"
It cannot compare to the Commanders' love for the Dolls, but we hope you will be pleased with it as a token of our modest feelings. Also,
we considered the format of free distribution skins so that the chance to receive rewards comes around to all Commanders. For example, skins that were popular periodically are dropped into the previous "Expedition Achievements." This time, accompanying the implementation of Klukay's skin "Blue Trajectory," we are incorporating elements that supplement the scenario on the Crew Deck.
Q: regarding future operations, what elements do you want to put particular effort into developing?
A: Moving forward, we want to continue providing content that features the two keywords of "Girls' Frontline": "Girls" and "Frontline". While working on new Doll designs, stories surrounding the Dolls and the Commander, and interactive events on the Crew Deck, we also want to incorporate a more realistic military experience through gameplay and cooperative elements such as
: "Large-scale Battlefields".[Expand Post]
By implementing a drone-related support system, we hope to make it a work where soon anyone can influence the conclusion of specific scenario events and taste a sense of participation and deep experience. The drone-related support system and new team-related content are expected to be implemented within the year. Also, there will be changes to the Dark Zone play as well.
Q: Please share your enthusiasm for the second year of "2" and a message for the "Girls' Frontline" fans.
A: We hope that Commanders all over the world will continue to join "Girls' Frontline" in various forms. Engrave your shine upon the world! To all our dear Commanders, we will devote our heart and soul to development so that we can deliver a better, richer, and more plentiful experience, so we ask for your continued support!

Nothing truly new outside the drone thing being added in 2026 I guess
