I finished reading the Mitama event, by the way. Kind of a strange choice this early into the game. I thought they wanted to make the game as friendly as possible for newsisters, but I'm not sure this story would make any sense unless you've played a very specific set of stories in reco? I was happy to see Hanna again though. And the scene where Momoko saved the day was good.
And 4chan couldn't handle it.

Received my exedra pass keys in the gift box earlier. I thought they might've forgotten the 5* key shards but those are directly credited into your account for some reason. You use these keys on separate banners than normal keys and they also have longer expiration dates of 6 months. For those who cannot read japanese or the english notice: The first 2 are from the premium pass while the 3 4*+ keys are from the regular one.

We should just all move to Recochan. 4chan is insufferable with its long ass wait time just so they can make you fill out captcha. 8moe is good, but who knows long it would last and then we'll be set adrift again. The nice thing about Recochan is the hornyposters and the occasional depressed sister get their own thread that won't clutter the mom posters and then the sisters that want to talk about gameplay can have their own thread too. All the different parts of our little group can flourish instead of cluttering each other

Do Lux stocks rise at all with Moemura? More SP means more battle skills... I don't know if that translates to significantly more break depletion or if it's not enough to bridge the gap between her and the non-welfare breakers and I'm not willing to burn orbs to find out.

On its own, it's just a safety blanket to make someone feel technical without actually being methodical. The number has to go into a model, then the model makes a prediction. Replace Reira with a 5* for stats if you're having trouble keeping Yuma alive and replace Madoka with Ayame to dispel the atk buff and the barriers.
Finally found a comp that managed to secure one break...Ren's debuffs are strong enough that Madokami one shots the shield with a special. Not having Kirika just means I need to time my MP batteries and heals very well. Really should just use Ayame, but I'm not done being stubborn yet.. I can't use Sayaka to deal more damage because she specifically needs to damage the boss to stack her magic, which she can't do because of the barriers. So she just has less survivability because she takes too long to stack and can't have Felicia as support like Kirika to make sure the barriers are up often enough. Can't use Ren because even though her ability says that she gains magic from the party attacking an enemy afflicted with an ailment, it's actually when the party damages an enemy afflected with an ailment. So on her own she doesn't lower the defense enough to help Madokami deal 100k. I tried Mami + Ren without Ayame and I managed to deal about 10% of Walpurgis' HP before dying from her 2 atk buff stacks. I don't think it is possible without Moemura and Pluvia Madoka. At A0 5* you'd probably need something like Kaede, Pluvia, Madokami, Ayame, Moemura. At higher ascensions something like Kaede, Pluvia, Madokami, Ren/Mami, Moemura could work.

New Tower content is out. Guide has been updated. It's true that Madokami's A2 allows for a better SP neutral rotation with a healer but A0 is good enough for the content we currently have.
Speaking of A2... I couldn't resist finishing off the spark. Glad I picked up another one along the way to get her there. It's not required right now, and I doubt the MP/SP/damage boost will ever be make or break on whether or not she could clear future content, but I can see A0 being limited by how squishy she is without ascensions. That's my cope for being dumb with my money...even though it'll only really matter for optional whale content...

Our new healer is here and honestly, don't pull. ATK based healer is a pretty bad gimmick early on, as we don't have many ATK portraits and we'd rather have the good one on our attacker, but later on she'll be more interesting as her healing will get better along with better buffers and portraits. The increased crit rate is also extremely good for the scaling of crit parties. She's honestly made to be paired with Madokami since the healing + regen will help build her magic faster while the crit rate will allow her to play more and deal more damage. Why not pull then? She's an offensive healer with no cleanse. She'd be good for fast kills and high end score attacks where you'd reset for good ailment rng. She's not a game changer and for most other bosses, you'd rather have cleansing. The good thing is that she's getting added in the standard pool and most of us will likely have her in a few months when hopefully better crit 5* become available for good crit parties. Don't trust anyone saying that she powercreeps Kaede. Iroha will likely heal more overall thanks to the regen and better scaling with buffs (I imagine the ATK scaling takes buffs into accounts) but Kaede's healing is already enough at A0 for all of the content out right now (except maybe rank 15 of the current score battle) while the cleansing is an extremely important part of healers' kits.

Here's the 8chan recap of today's Exedra stream. Mabayu is coming on the 29th along with this month's standard pool additions. We'll get keys everyday until then to celebrate. Once she's out we have a new 5* portrait, 15 days of free pulls and a guaranteed 5* kioku if you've pulled all 15 times. Chaos is also getting released with 3 Chaos bosses with 3 challenges each. A Nightmare Needle Witch clear is required to unlock this set of Chaos bosses. They'll also come with their set of missions where you can get a 4*+ key. We're also finally getting the rest of the promised QoL features: the magic level upgrade QoL change and the "continue reading" button. Most importantly, Scene0 is getting released in its entirety (not a recap), voiced and in 3 parts as an event. Once the event ends, it won't go to the archive but will get added to the Main Quest later on. In early June we'll get more Tower along with the rest of the Memories of You event story. In mid June we'll get the Amane twins along a new event. Late June event hasn't been revealed yet, we'll have to wait for the next stream. All we know is that the next 3 Chaos bosses will get added and you'll have to complete the 3rd one's challenges to have access to them. She also seems to buff damage dealt quite a bit without conflicting with the other 5* buffers buffs by buffing damage dealt and damage dealt to weakness, which should make for good scaling when paired with the mandatory 5* speed buffer and on-element attacker in Chaos. Do we need that for anything other than Chaos right now? No. And since she should be added to the general pool at the end of the month, which is when you should be using your keys, odds are you'll get her.

I really don't like the way they cripple your meguca in some of these fights.
Actually, now that I think about it, I actually think it's okay because it forces you to use other meguca. It just irks me because it's not so easy to fill out your roster right now without whaling lots. Hopefully it'll be better once the standard pool starts to be filled with new meguca

Run was super scuffed and Yachiyo is still using a suboptimal portrait for survival. I think there might be a way for me to clear this. Just gotta wait for heartphials levels to trickle in for Yachiyo. I was hoping putting in Madokami as her support would let me use my skill twice inside burst, but it wasn't enough. I'll probably swap back to Oriko if I don't need the extra HP/DEF Madokami support gives.
Actually, maybe I just need to reset a bunch of times until I get crits...I wasn't paying too much attention, but swapping Moemura's support from Tsuruno to Mabbers did something to the turn orders and it just works better now. If this had critted, I would have won...

I like what they did with Layer 40. They're being creative with boss mechanics with most bosses not feeling like a repeat from previous bosses. I hope they continue releasing more layers at every iteration.

The odds were atrocious, the most stingy gacha I've played, and playing it felt like a huge waste of time to me as it felt like I was only reading it to know what I was missing out on and barely enjoying anything I was reading. The most generous one I've played was Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, when I got bored of it years later I had everything and over a million gems just laying around. The scummiest I've played was Genshin Impact. I hate this deceiving new chinese gacha system with odds worse than FGO and a drip feed of gacha currency but it's actually okay because there's a pity system that carries over from banner to banner so you can actually plan out when you're gonna pull months in advance only for your character to get powercrept anyway in a few months (this applies less to Genshin and more to other gachas using this system, Magia Record included). Let's not forget that you have to pull for weapons too. I honestly can't take any gacha player seriously when this has become their golden standard. I'll still play P5X because I'm interested in the story though... Besides the ones I've name dropped and a few others like World Flipper, Atelier Resleriana, Romancing Saga Re;Universe, I don't think I've played other gachas for more than a month or two. Magia Exedra so far has been about the same at launch, if not better, when compared with all of these. That and it somehow seems to be racking in more money on its first few months than all of those did, except Genshin, in a saturated market.

The story kind of mirrored the gameplay for me. Lots of tedious shit with the occasional fun moment. The best thing about FGO was that the gacha was so absolutely atrocious so I never felt tempted to spend outside guaranteed SSRs. I really haven't touched Mihoyo stuff, so I can't comment too much on the currency income, but I've watched my bf roll on ZZZ, and it was just min rolls one after another... He never had much gacha currency either. I've seen people comment about how much they prefer getting pity and 50/50s over some of the gachas I've played, and I honestly don't understand it either. Other than FGO, the ones I've sunk time into are Pokemon Pocket, Nikke, Heaven Burns Red (Global and JP), and this one. I think Pocket is the most generous, but it's also an unfair comparison because it's basically a different genre. Nikke was great because you got a fairly significant amount of rolls while also having a spark (200 rolls) that carries over banners. It also has a 4% ssr rate, and if I remember correctly, a 2% rate up except for specific units that have 1% rate up. It also has something similar to golden keys. Heaven Burns Red is also good. It's the most similar to Exedra (same rates, 150 rolls to spark for global and 200 for JP), except you get much more free rolls, and also there's generic limit break material that's not too hard to get. I forgot where I was initially going with this post, sis... I guess just that it's nowhere near as bad as the worst offenders, but also more stingy than the other gacha I've personally played...

We don't have any info on Alina yet but here's what we know about Touka and Nemu, MTL'd so it might not be completely accurate. Touka is a ST fire breaker who synergises with follow-up attacks, making her gain a stackable SPD buff. She also gets a follow-up attack when a special is used and she has 2 or more buffs which increases her turn order by 20%. She seems like a better ST breaker option than Iroha and Rena in cases where the boss is weak to fire OR in cases where the boss is weak to void/dark and not water/light as she benefits from being paired with Ren or Homura. Her ascensions are surprisingly not that interesting, with A1 being the most interesting one increasing her break gauge reduction and also increasing her speed by 20% for 2 turns after breaking an enemy. Her A2 seems to be made to allow her to stack her speed buffs better without the help of Ren or Homura while A4 is the generic breaker A4. I think however that the most interesting part of her kit is her support ability. She can support breakers, increasing break gauge reduction and also increasing speed by 25% when at 2 buffs or more. This seems like the best support for Pluvia Madoka and will be particularly strong in PvP. She's alright, our first 5* fire breaker who, unlike Karin, is speed based, but I don't think she's worth going for despite the 5% SSR rate. It'd be best to be patient since she's getting added to the general pool at the end of july, alongside the Amane twins, Mabayu and the other Magius. Speaking of other magius, the other 5* on the banner is Nemu and she's a poison-based forest debuffer. Her entire gimmick is to apply poison with her follow-up attack on specials, which also applies a 10% damage taken debuff. She applies more poison (doesn't stack) and lowers defense by 20% with her battle skill. She can also increase forest damage by 30% and consume her poison (just like Hanna) with her proximity special. Overall, the poison damage is only really there to fulfill some ailment or poison condition on a boss mechanic. I don't think the damage is gonna do much. The 30% debuffs + 30% forest damage debuff however are interesting, especially if Holy Mami ends up being a forest attacker. The follow-up attacks make her synergise with Touka but I'm not sure why you'd go with her instead of Ren. However the most important part of her kit comes from her A2 giving +30% damage dealt to poisoned enemies. This buff is of the same type as her follow-up attack debuff but it's multipicative with her 2 other debuffs, which should increase damage quite a bit. I think she'll definetly get to shine and might be worth going for if you're aiming for A2 and if the next stream takes place before the banner ends and a forest attacker is announced for july (or if Alina ends up being one). Otherwise, better be patient again.

She seems good and her kit is pretty straightforward. We'll have to see how good her break gauge depletion is, but she seems to benefit from both facing multiple enemies and having follow-up attacks in the party. Being void means she can be run with Ren, who has follow-up attacks. Ascension 2 seems pretty nice. Support ability seems useless. PVP wise I think she's a good option if you don't have Tsukuyo.

Cleared floor 50 with this. Just ignore the familiars and hit her 30 times in 3 turns to disable the break gauge protection then break before the 30-hit counter resets. Took 3 breaks to kill her. I'm guessing Ren and Alina will help a lot with the 30 hits in 3 turns requirement.

I don't mind the crystalis grind as much as I expected, but. My biggest complaint about early magireco was not being able to just set the game to auto until I run out of stamina. Having to press replay after each battle is already getting on my nerves in exedra. It feels like being back in the dark ages.
I got over 30k gems saved. Should I spent it on the current rolls or saved it for the next girls?

Crystalis farming is really burning me out, sisters...I don't spend much time home, so I usually do it on the train. It would be okay if I could read or play other games while autoing, but the mobile client fucking stops the game when you're not focused on it so split screen isn't much of an option. Doesn't help that I haven't gotten an ex in the past three days...

Just got A4 Mami. Should I replace Coolmura with her in pvp? Got A2 Moemura too, so the combo seems like it should be really good, but I'm not sure if it's worth dropping my attacker.
