Not fond of it, partially on it's own merits, partially because I'm bitter that the Hugo and Bibian turboshilling for 3 patches in a row is why Anby and Trigger didn't get much to do in their own patch.
I think Dina, Camille, and Hartman are really lame villains. Hartman basically does nothing and has already lost before the story even begins just because he got a fake sacrifice core from Hugo, Camille killing herself to "save Dina" makes less sense the more you think about it, and Dina herself barely exists outside of Vivian begging her to not be insane.
I also really don't like how Hugo ends up being responsible for basically nothing that happened in his backstory. He didn't kill his sister, he was framed for that. He didn't kill all those other unnamed people, that was his dad. He didn't kill him, because that was fucking Hartman. Hugo wishes he killed him, but ultimately he decided on a different form of justice. It feels like Mockingbird fell apart because of a completely pointless misunderstanding, which makes the conflict between Hugo and Lycaon's opposing ideals fall flat. He's even working for the fucking mayor like Lycaon is.
Vivian's mixed for me. I'll admit the hero worship Lord Phaethon thing was always going to annoy me regardless of the story behind it. I personally like her more as the aloof noblewoman who's also an info broker working 20 part time jobs, as opposed to the fangirl she is most of the time. I can see why people think Phaethon's involvement in her life being effectively 1 nice comment is a bit cheap, but I think I prefer it more than some big dramatic scene where we save her life from a hollow or something predictable like that.
I can't really say I've hated everything. I loved Anby and Trigger's stories, and I at least find Hugo and Vivian to be entertaining even if parts of their writing agitate me. I remain optimistic for 2.0, since it's pretty clear that these epilogue patches are largely a filler act before we get the main event.
