>Because the animations are unclear.
Outside of Miyabi, who isn't too bad now, you can turn off numbers and see things no problem.
>There is little build-up especially on doppelganger bosses that can easily get covered by effects and numbers.
They all have really obvious tells without sparks minus the wolf guy who I think does crouch shots, mostly, and the animations are such that you can inuit it with their windup animation, which is easy to see.
>The game needs to be easier, really. At the end of the day they're trying to market this towards people who don't usually play action games, so they need to make everything as clear as possible.
They really don't and even then DA SD and Tower can be swiped through for people who can't put in any effort, just liek you can buy completeion in Capcom games if you're really that bad.
>But currently not only do I need to turn off damage numbers and special effects, enemy attacks are also unclear.
This is 100% a skill issue or bait. Numbers sure, turn them off, but effects? Only if you have somebody like Miyabi, and Miyabi is the only one in the game currently with visuals so noisy you might have trouble.
