"Oh it's fine that I got hit I can heal to full and keep going" The only place I see it being actually useful is battle tower where your agents are worn down over time and you're always one hit from restartng, but in modes like Shiyu and DA you're constantly trying for the fastest time and highest score so if you get hit too much the only "healing" you need is pressing the restart button

You can roll for BiS teams, mindscapes or sigs to clear endgame easier or you can lab out the correct builds and rotations, if you want to get in the top 1% in DA without selling a kidney you probably want both. Most other gacha games also have that, but with way less mechanical execution so if you want to clear with sovl or low-cost teams you need to grind away in equipment mines (which is also a lot easier in ZZZ than most other gachas with equipment but that's besides the point)
