And Lighter's as well for a good measure. Lucy still has hers. Damage numbers are on, so you can compare them to what you're getting, I wouldn't be surprised if my discs would still put my Harin above some of the others. This wasn't easy and took a few tries, but it's not really a perfect run, so it should be a good reference for what you can do to get 20k. The burst rotation is dogshit for The Brimstone specifically (stagger your burst with BA1234, and have Lucy carry Swing instead of Lighter, use Lucy's Ultimate before S11's). Other W-Engines would be fine with doing exactly that. The buff is Ultimate. I tried the same idea with Nicole (with her W-Engine) + Lucy, got to 18.5k, it might be possible, but much harder.

So far we've seen no hint of her past or any kind of struggles she may have, which means they are holding back on her real story and we won't really interact properly with her until then. SS rank burnice will be puro psycho kino (and we WILL romance her)

ZZZ is an easy example here. characters can't really develop in their trust events since those are exclusive to people who rolled for them. if a character changed in trust events and then showed up later in the story reflecting that change, it would be weird and jarring for anyone who skipped that character, so the characters have to exist in this weird superposition always to keep things consistent. the main place where you see character development actually occur in these games is if they're selling a new version of an existing character (then the development can be relegated to any interactions with this second version), or if it's in a backstory or flashback kind of story, like with trigger there are a lot of flaws that the gacha model creates with storytelling unfortunately but i genuinely think ZZZ is one of the better examples and they avoid a lot of the common issues other games have, at least so far. it will get harder as the cast gets bigger for them to keep incorporating old characters into the story and events, but we'll see. >So like the characters end up being more tropes and less characters in themselves. like the other guy said, this is more a result of bad writing and isn't exclusive to this genre. it's just that this genre being based around FOMO promotion makes it more likely to happen. there are only a few characters i think can be reduced to tropes in ZZZ though but it basically just depends on how much screen time the devs are willing to give to your favorite

I think what's happening here is that most backstories you can make within the setting of ZZZ are bound to be sob stories because, well, it's a post-apocalyptic world. A hollow can spawn in your backyard and it's gg no re. A ball of positivity blooming in the wastelands of the Outer Ring, on top of the entire Hollow thing, will naturally make players curious. How did she get here? Was she always like that? What was she like as a child? Did Big Daddy raise her? (is this info we know? I can't remember) As an aside, am I crazy or do none of the cops (except Qingyi, but she's related to the old civilization which is hundreds of years away) have a history of bad encounters with Hollows/the fall of the old capital? As I was typing this I kept thinking about Zhu Yuan and her normal life, because how the fuck did that happen? Were they just not negatively affected by Hollows for the entire 24 years of Zhu Yuan's life? Do they just miraculously survive every Hollow encounter without a scratch? Are cops backed by TOPS who control Hollow spawn locations so they're certain they can never get harmed. I feel like these have answers and I'm just a lorelet...
