This thread is going to be about Mirren Star Legends, a gacha that incorporates aspects from a turn based strategy like HSR, and equipment grinds from Genshin Impact. There is some player interest here, maybe enough to populate a starter thread so we are going to give it a shot. At the very least players here can help dispel some lack of data and mechanics in gameplay. As we get more organized we can set up an OP that is appropriate with links and information about the game.

Thanks for making the bread anon, it's really late here though so I'll post tomorrow. Got some stuff to say, like for example the fact they changed some characters compared to the og server, so you can't refer to CN tierlists now since it's not accurate anymore...
What's the best Android emulator these days? My phone is too full for another gacha. I'll download and try this out as soon as figure out what to use.

overall the game is pretty fun, but exp progression is how you say, cumulative so it takes more and more as those levels go up. The music is pretty decent. The combat rating leaves a lot to be desired. Its a bit deceptive how much you need, leading me to believe talents are not calculated in it, and talent investment is pretty important for progression, as well as rune gear (equipment).

>>544658 So I talked a bunch to some whale players who are top 1-5 in a server that's ahead of the others by around 2 months (I think it's OCE or something) who basically cleared all content at this point, and this is what I've managed to gather, starting with the bad: - All enemies, especially bosses, have been massively buffed. They have enough BRK res to basically be impossible to break, high enough EFF res to be very difficult to debuff consistently, and they can just cleanse your debuffs on top of that because why not. They also do shitloads of damage and are much faster than they used to be. As a consequence of this, BRK characters outside of Ampsa and Icarus are pretty much useless in the endgame. Ampsa because she lowers DEF massively and can simulate a complete BRK on enemies without needing to break them, and Icarus because shields are much better than hp and healing, and she is the best shielder. One guy advised to max her to awaken 5 asap because you literally can't survive without her. - Aster changes have mostly been nerfs. The ones that I noticed are these: Muu - used to be able to provide a permanent buff that gave a def ignore effect (1-2% per stack) up to 30 stacks through her Relic, whenever the Nova equipping her consumed Harvest stacks, and gave 3 Harvest stacks for free every turn if your stacks were at 3 or lower. It has been replaced with a 30% chance to get an extra Harvest stack whenever receiving one. For context Harvest itself is a true damage buff. Basically she was insanely good to put on your dps character even if she's BRK because of this. Now, between the unbreakable break bars and complete loss of the def ignore she's dropped off hard and is pretty bad now. Dia - similar to Muu, did a ton of BRK damage, could restore a bunch of energy and every turn had a decent chance to reduce all your cooldowns by 1. She still has all of that, but on soft launch of this version her kit was modified to also do TM manipulation, that accelerated your team and slowed down enemies she attacked. On actual launch that TM manipulation got nerfed into the ground and is pretty much irrelevant now. She still has the CD reduction, but her high BRK damage is not high anymore because the bosses got buffed, so now she's just a rng-heavy CD reducer and not much else. She's my favorite character so that sucks double for me... Caroline - TM freeze chance got lowered from 100% to 60% at max level, so it's not reliable anymore. Effect hit and lifesteal both lowered, and between bosses having impossible break bars and high res she kind of does nothing now. Flashette - Reverie buff changed from -10% healing received, -5% damage reduction and +10% damage per stack to -21% HR, -10.5% DR and +12.6% dmg. Stacks also used to last 2 turns after losing her Realm, so you could weave Nova ultimates in and reapply the Realm, now they're gone instantly if you end her Realm. Between that and unbreakable fast bosses she's a suicide button now unless you don't use her buff, but why bother then. Shinkou - Got buffed to reduce burn res, but her stacking attack buff got cut from 20 stacks to 10 at max, and is now only active as long as there are burning enemies on the field, rather than just stacking whenever you applied burn. Harder to make use of now. She also used to be able to trigger burn on all enemies without consuming burn stacks, she can't do that at all now. Her Relic now gives +15% crit though. Danni - Used to have 100% chance to drain energy in an AoE, that chance got reduced to around 75% now. Buffs your BRK power, but with breaking being so hard now she's kind of a dead draw. This goes for all BRK characters except Ampsa and Icarus now. Princeton - used to have a reliable chance to drain enemy energy, the chance is lower now so again, not reliable anymore. You must've noticed this is a trend now. Burn and Corrosion characters in general - lower chances to apply their debuffs on top of higher boss resistances means those teams kind of suck now, pretty much only whales with awaken 5 Giratia and Momo can play corrosion, and burn may as well not exist after the change to Shinkou. Some buffs I've noticed: Outlander Calliopsis - upcoming limited. Her buffs used to cycle depending on turn number, now they are conditional on your HP or the number of debuffs on the enemies. The number of things she can do got reduced, but she's very consistent and very strong now. Cicely - Damage buff reduced on skill 2, but no longer has a 2 turn pre-cooldown. Chance to reduce CD reduced, but now resets both her skills instead of just the first, and other allies attacking can reduce it now instead of just the equipping Nova. Lastly, main attack used to take a part of the damage the equipping Nova did in the last 2 turns and add it to the skill's damage. Now, it just adds a part of total damage you dealt in this battle, capped at 300% atk or 500% at awaken 5. Basically, her main attack becomes a nuclear bomb after a few turns and can easily outdamage single target dps even without class advantage after a few turns. Oh, and her Relic gives crit chance instead of atk now, which is also insane. This is not an exhaustive list, there's probably more shit to find, but the overall impression is pretty grim. I don't get why they'd do it like this, the game was perfectly balanced before. I thought it's to sell limiteds, but Momo and Shinkou are worse too now because of those changes. On the bright side, all of that stuff doesn't really apply to the early or mid game, so you'll still have fun for a while. Progressing is very slow even with stamina refreshes. This is just something to think about later. Also who knows, maybe they'll listen to feedback (lol).

The harvest mechanic is much less powerful but you are guaranteed one stack of Harvest at least before action. More if you decide to invest in her relics later. The final damage modifier looks pretty good for a dps character. -you didn't comment about Sarah but she looks pretty good, or unchanged? from cn. She still gets a lot of power from recharge stacks and extra turn and her first level relic ignores 30% of armor on her skill 2. I got it yesterday when trying a single 10 pull on the relic banner. Damage went way up. The extra turn for the nova also lets you gain energy twice. There seems to be a fair amount of awaken boxes on shops that are somewhat accessible on the Abyss store and new player rewards (probably one time only). It looks like reaching awakening 2 is feasible in the first month for a no spender on one Aster. I agree with everything you said on Ampsa and we was the first character I brought to 9 skill and ascend 3 so that I could break tough shields. I think I will need to eventually awaken her fully. At a certain point her temporary defense debuff becomes permanent with awakens. I have been using a 4* called Princeton for a while, she seems fairly good, but its tough to say since I don't have her maxed out yet. I was subbing her in for Ritsu because she has a lot of +eng talents and hits unusually hit hard for a 4* as long as the requirements are met.

>>547124 Here's a list I made according to feedback from the guys I talked with and some of my own impressions, don't take it as gospel but it should be more accurate than the CN lists with all the changes we got in this version. QRD on every aster below - Icarus: Need her to play the game eventually, once you can no longer outheal enemy damage with Kelsuna. Awaken 5 gives shields to the whole team instead of just the user, so it's a priority. - Outlander: Best support in the game, gives a rare crit rate buff and if you don't want crit, she improves DoT instead for your corrosion or burn team. Gives damage reduction and atk on top of that. - Yettania: Gives tons of atk, energy, and with one dupe also gives DR and dmg boost. Her heal at awaken 5 gives 40% DR. - Ampsa: Only relevant at awaken 1, but after that she inflicts up to around 40% def down and between 10 and 20% damage reduction reduction on one enemy, must have once breaking becomes difficult, skippable early though. - Cicely: As mentioned before, dealing a part of total damage with her skill is busted, and she gets even more busted with dupes. Her cooldowns cycle fast enough to fire her skills every other turn. Her only downside is not being in a better element. - Sarah: Only really takes off at awaken 1 and with relic, after that she's a great nuker with a lot of energy generation and a cheap atk buff. - Reirei: Energy generator, atk buffer. TM accelerator, and can apply a chance to dodge to your whole team, which negates damage if successful. Not great early on because of high energy cost on skill 2 and kind of needing dupes, but becomes great eventually. You can get even more dodge if you set a red aster leader on all your novas too thanks to the talents. - Shinkou: Great single target nuker who gets free 15% crit from her relic, but not much else. Her burn synergy is hard to use because every burn character is also a dps, so you'll be forced to slot them on your team instead of much stronger characters for the sake of doing a little bit more damage every few turns, I don't think it's worth it. She's still good at the moment though and worth rolling. Her skill at higher levels is consistent enough to at least get a few burn stacks for her nuke. - Dia: I said before that she's notthat good but I thought about slotting her together with Reirei and the TM manipulation adds up enough to make her worth the slot. She does a fuckton of BRK damage early and midgame too and cycles your cooldowns on ALL of your asters on the nova with Dia. - Flora: Freebie 3 star that's very strong. Gives around 30% atk and 10% armor pen unconditionally to the equipping nova (at awaken 5 and maxed relic), and her skill gives you an extra action. If the skill kills something, the skill cd also resets, so she can sweep low hp mobs. - Naphee: Similar to Flora, gives a ton of atk but part of it is conditional on the equipping nova getting attacked up to 10 times. Attack skill gets better the lower the enemy health is. - Erin: Gives your party 30% DR and 18% DEF, great for surviving enemy nukes. Not even Yettania gives this much unless she's awaken 5. - Giratia and Momo: Corrosion team carries, unfortunately very expensive and not even that great. If you really want to play that team anyway, you'll need Giratia at awaken 3 at least, one Momo, and probably Apophis and Naphee as well. If you do max them out, that team is pretty strong though. - Anna: Energy restore and a lot of atk debuffs for the enemy, but takes time to stack those debuffs and if the enemy cleanses them it's over. - Mirai: Expensive but low cooldown heal, good alternative to Kelsuna. - Homura: Potential woman, really strong with 6 Divinity asters on the team, but there aren'[t enough of them worth using in the game right now. Even outside of that she has a debuff cleanse, so she's useful. - Flashette: As said before, you'll probably die for using her, but if you don't, she's the best damage buffer in the game. - Muu: Already outlined in the last post, but still very strong early on. - Dorothy: Similar to Flora, gives tons of atk and dmg boost but more conditional on burn stacks, if you play a burn team then use her on your dps nova together with Shinkou. - Phylicia: The only speed buffer in the game. I don't yet know if that makes her worth a slot but it is noteworthy and automatically makes her at least decent. - Churchill: Reduces enemy eff res so you can apply debuffs easier, has a small heal, a bunch of energy regen, and at awaken 5 she debuffs def too. I think she really needs that awaken 5 to be worth a slot though. - Belle: Gives your whole team damage reflect. The higher the enemy damage, the higher her usefulness, not worth using early and might not be worth using late either but she's alright. - Annex: The only character with a Shock debuff, which adds some extra damage every time you hit the enemy. She's okay if you're not playing burn or corrosion I guess, but outclassed by too many other dps. - Princeton: Energy restore and decent chance to drain enemy energy, but not much else. Her def buff only lasts for the first 3 turns, and enemies usually will use their ults on turn 4 with her on the team, so it may as well not exist. - Kuroko: High chance to apply 2 burn stacks, and an attack that scales off the number of burns. - Kuroe: Similar to Kuroko but AoE and lower chance to burn, but decreases burn res to compensate. Her passive is also better. - Narcissus: Best tits and belly in the game, also makes your tank tankier but doesn't do much else. Very good on Mia. - Ameth: Healer who can drain enemy energy. - Aika: She can give one-time invincibility to one ally of choice, but it's hard to use because enemy attacks are unpredictable and are usually AoE anyway. - Beccas: Standard BRK character, decent early on I guess. - Caroline: Decent chance to delay one enemy, but not much else. - Asher: She's Belle lite, and can be used together with her for even more damage reflect. - Apoffis: Great for a corrosion comp, and only that. - Bella: Applies 2 burns guaranteed on broken enemies, but not much else. Becomes useless if you can't break often. - Kyorin: Can dispel one debuff from your team, can use her if you don't want to use Homura, but she's worse than her. - Melurote: Decent DEF debuffer, she's Ampsa lite. - C tier is just plain bad characters who aren't really worth the time to write about, but check their skills out anyway, you might find something you like. In particular, Penelope gives one-time revive on death to the user, nobody else has a skill like that. - Lastly, Krishna: She's almost a must-have early on to sustain your team until you raise Icarus, but after that she's going to the bench forever unless you really need absolute hit. Again, don't take it at face value, while a lot of the stuff is proven, a lot of it is also not, but at the very least the top picks should be fairly accurate. Also your early game really depends a lot on what you actually rolled early, too.

If Mia or the ENG girl become necessary, should I switch now or keep raising the first 3 Nova? I just reached level 80 on Ritsu, Kuroro, and Tsukuyo
>>547299 You're welcome You can swap levels between Novas once per week for I think 300 gems. Personally I'm using Angie, Mia and Tsukuyo, and the top 1 guy I talked to also uses those 3, but early on it shouldn't matter much, in fact I'm considering replacing Mia with Ritsu because she just can't tank very well atm (also her animations and design are the worst of all novas). Tsukuyo always stays since she's the only dps, Angie is also very good if your team is energy-hungry. I think Ritsu gets some synergy with burn/corrosion at around lv100? Kuro makes your healer asters better, so she's alright with Kelsuna early too
>>547328 at 80 Ritsu has a low chance to double a debuff that does damage, about 5% chance. At 100 it looks like she gets the ability to manipulate turn order slightly and extra resilience damage per debuff on target. Then finally anything with over 50% resilience she gets an extra 10% resilience damage. She looks almost necessary for breaking shields at a certain point with all the res damage bonuses. With Kuroro reaching 80 I am glad I stuck with her though, her main attack can heal about 1/4th a bar of hp for herself and the lowest character on hp, shes pretty easy to use. I almost think I need to build her like a tank though eventually if I am not using Mia, she tends to take the direct hits the most.
Also I am unable to farm for runes really, the cost of leveling them up is just nonexistant without bringing my team to a standstill in Aster levels which is pretty bad. I just barely cleared hard mode stage 20 this morning for the event (2*) and I need to clear out the event shop before it disappears so I need to put all my energy towards that for the next 3-4 days. How far did you get on the Shadow Crypt? I am at stage 4-6 using debuff cards. For Memory dive im a little less than half of what whales have reached so not far along yet.
>>546184 based on that other anon if you haven't rolled for a limited yet, you may want to wait for the next limited it seems. Momo and Sinkou seem alright but nothing too amazing and some of the standard banner characters can exceed performance unless you go deep into debuffs. I was originally planning on going deep into debuff Aster but now since it sounds like they are quite nerfed without super investment I am planning on altering my roll strategy.

>>547355 Sorry for the late answer, I actually haven't touched Crypt for a while so I decided to go do it now and I managed to clear 4-10, here's the link if you want to peek my playstyle. https://youtu.be/RNKrBGYr-fI 5-1 is not possible currently because the enemies are too fast and hit too hard, I think you'd need your team at ascend 3 to keep up with their speed and probably at least 150 for more bulk. As for runes, yeah they're a pain in the ass, but I spent a few days farming crit runes for Tsukuyo and managed to get 50% base crit on her, which is a big help and good enough for now. The other Novas can live with just the set bonus for now, I went with the energy set on Angie and the DR set on Mia, but it's worth considering the healer set that gives your whole party DR as well if you use Kuroro. Not sure about Ritsu yet. I also unintentionally speed tuned the team so that the turn order is exactly as I want it, so that's nice to have too.

I have noticed that on occasion you can get one that is colored orange? or red and that may be some sort of close to cap feature. If we can't upgrade those then its fairly sad limit on power.

You can't enhance them in any other way than the rune stone reroll, but you can lock the subs you want to keep, at the cost of needing extra reroll items. You can use duplicate runes as well. There are also some items that I haven't used yet so idk what they do, but they probably allow to guarantee a higher rarity sub reroll or something like that, they're very rare. For stats speed is a must on every nova, for Tsukuyo you also want as much crit as possible, and ideally crit damage (not crit damage res), and atk % boost or armor pen, or at least flat atk. For a debuffer nova it's effect hit rate or whatever it's called, for healers healing and energy gain, etc, also lategame once you get Icarus a5 the shield subs should become good too. Try to get at least 3 yellow crit runes on your dps, it makes a really big difference. Red rarity is a bitch to farm, have to really get lucky. You need tons of fodder to level up red ones too... Yeah I bought some refills early, and I still get 3 daily because the progress is just way too slow otherwise. I'll probably keep doing that until I have 9 maxed asters.

Also I think the priority on buying from exchange shops...what are your thoughts? I was looking at these: Abyss store: 4 awaken chest, then aster pages, everything else looks irrelevant at this point. Guild store: the Sanctuary Tale, and star jade seem prominintly displayed due to their cost so maybe those first, then exp stones early game, though I can also see buying the runes random pack for ENG set. Dreamland store: Nothing or a sanctuary tale maybe. Constant Supplies: strange item that called Oathrend Effigy, says swaps Nova levels, may be a good way to cahnge Nova, only 100 gems. Emerald store: don't have any currency for this, must be for whales

Yeah your runes look sad but that's expected if you haven't farmed them, as I said I'd at least get crit runes on your dps, ideally 4 piece soul liberation damage set and 2 piece atk +10%. As for the shop, skill mats in sapphire store are good value, for abyss store I got bunle, summons, skill mats and relic levelup mats, but yes awaken chest is also important, and eventually traction runes. Guild store, again bunle, exp, skill mats and relic enhance mats, rune chests imo are overpriced. Star jade is not needed early on, it's to limit break your asters past level 180 through affection afaik, and you just won't get there in a long time. Sanctuary book is for maxing skill level, that one you might need soon but again, not super relevant early. For dreamland I think the only thing worth buying is emeralds for the emerald store, for 7500 dreamland currency you can get 300 emerald which you can trade for an SSR aster, awaken chests, or a bunch of summons if you want. Gem shop, you can get the aster reset or nova level swap items if you want, the aster reset is not a full refund though afaik so it's best not to rely on that too much. Premium store if you bought paid gems has those rare rune mats I mentioned, seems to be the only reliable way to get them. Can also get the currency for the skin shop there. Those are my thoughts.
>>548041 Also, you can post your box so that I can maybe check if you can do some replacements. How is the Momo + Giratia combo working out for you? If you're not happy with them it might be better to look for a replacement and reset them to get some mats back. Otherwise you might actually want to add more corrosion characters instead like Apophis and a1 Naphee. In general, imo it's better to try to match the roles each Nova has with corresponding Asters. In particular your Kuro looks like she's not really a healer. I know I run Sarah on my energy character but that's temporary lol.

I did try full corrode and when everything landed it was fine...but you really need those awakenings and skill 10 AND wearing all those corrode accessories and even then I was having to juggle too much. I am eventually going to swap out aster for something similar you have. So yes I got annoyed that corrode has such a tiny window to work and a lot can miss. I'm resisting resetting aster lvls for now as I'm preparing to go for the shield girl and need every gem.

>>548770 If by shield girl you mean Icarus, don't actually use gems on her banner, work on her slowly through the standard gacha. You should probably get Outlander though, she's the next banner limited and very good (+18 crit buff for your party is the highlight) Also, I know you said you're saving, but Shinkou's relic is really good. Between her, Muu and Sarah you'll have a nice dps core. Well, it's not critical (pun not intended), but relics are pretty cheap at 5.6k for hard pity. Crit is just really good to have. Also since you already got Ampsa, maybe get her a1 soon too since it's where her real power is. In general a lot of SSRs have a really good first dupe, like Sarah, Yettania, Reirei, Ampsa... For ENG asters on Kuro I'd go with Kelsuna, Yettania and Outlander, or if you can't get her then either Princeton or Reirei. Reirei costs a lot of energy though. On Ritsu, I'd use Ampsa, Dia and eventually Icarus, or you could go with Muu and eventually use Cicely or another good dps on your Tsukuyo. Well, consider it I guess. If aster resets refunded everything it wouldn't be so bad, but because they don't, it's kinda important to not invest into characters you won't use...

As an update I have been raising Flora and you are right, she is completely broken as a 3* Aster. She gave a pretty big boost to the Nova.

I'm here considering bumping Cicely a half-tier down because so much content seems to be under 600 TM including Guild boss and the daily point ladder boss and 600 TM just isn't long enough to profit from her maxed out damage. That rare soul dmg buff and crit chance is probably gonna keep her at the top though. Also it'll probably get better once you got some speed on the runes...

I decided to and got ampsa a1 icaruth a1 (will get a2 with abyss boxes) Outlander Cali a1 on accident I finished pushing Sarah to level 180 as I am using her for dps. I also got a1 Cecily due to a dupe missfire while rolling on standard banner so maybe I should build her now? I also shifted To using Icaruth to the lead on Ritsu and adjusted to compensate talents for blue since I don't have a tank anyhow. I still use angels for Kuoro and Kurokami for the lead. I got Kurokami to level 100 but the other two are 80 to help push progress. As far as relics go I got 3 5* relics in one pull because of luck I guess. Sarahs, Cecily, and Icaruth. I also picked up one level of Cali's relic. At this point the game is begging me to level up Cecily. Also if anyone new comes across this thread farm the new event you get free rune exp, something everyone badly needs, besides the shop materials.
>>588167 Also I made it to 5-6 in the new crypt season, but at that point it looks like you need speed on your gear or they just kill you on turn 1 before you can react. One unintended combo I saw is if you take a card that takes 99% of your hp and converts it to shield and have the Tormentras talent that takes 35% of your hp you instantly die in the crypt lol so be careful with that one. Otherwise I was trying all the shield cards and its suprisingly good.

>>588268 If you see this post I had some questions friend. Due to some translation issues and a lack of in game tooltips I had some questions on some things in game. Using a variety of methods including a small amount of money, I got Icaruth to Awaken level 3 so far and should be able to get awaken 4 on the next reset. On awaken 5 specifically it says Zephyr's Grace s3 change: Old skill: Gain a shield equal to x% of HP after action. New skill: Gain a shield equal to X% of HP. 1. This isn't much info so I figured you may know more about it. So the new skill just always hands out the X% of HP on the beginning of your turn? That is the only way to read it, otherwise the lack of action text would make me thing it just gives you that shield permanently as long as it's your turn or something. As an awaken 5 I would imagine its quite powerful. 2. For enhancing relics I discovered the roadblock at level 20, it needs 20 of those Traction Runes which are only on a few shops and I think they reset per month. Is it only at lvl 20/30/40/50 that needs all those runes? I can't check. I am planning to max out Icaruth's relic after I get her awakening 5, unless you say that her skill 3 passiveupgrade is garbage or something.

>>642451 Hey, I kinda ended up semi-dropping the game now because of Shadowverse coming out, but Icarus a5 iirc makes it so that the shield from the passive is applied to all novas after Icarus user's turn. I don't have her a5 myself so I can't test it exactly but that's the most obvious way. You then make your Icarus nova fast and have her take turns as often as possible to stack the shields on your whole team to survive aoe nukes. About relics, afaik it's indeed every 10 levels. Probably won't be checking this general anymore, I lost the drive to keep going because it's pretty boring to play gacha alone, and other than climbing memory dive there isn't anything else to do anymore for me, story being so bad despite the impressive worldbuilding is quite the shame too.
