>no, my ellen is top 1% on IKN and is probably better than anyone else's in this thread. i'm not claiming to be the best player
Then maybe you should consider a good-faith advice instead of dismissing it?
>i think all you've done here is proven my intuition on that point correct
By providing you with an example of a run better than yours with a team that has sub-optimal discs (CRIT Rate overcap, Soukaku should be running Astral, Trigger should be running Summit, I just didn't bother to switch the discs, as getting the highest possible score wasn't the point - comparing Ellen with and without the buff was), and Ellen that's not even in the top 50%?
Did you really just write off everything with the
>"i could probably match"
excuse, when you are supposed to be getting high 40k at very least?
Keep in mind that run was recorded on literally my first day of playing the buffed Ellen as well.
I'm not an Ellen player, I just understand how the game works and I can figure her game plan because of that.
Notice how I didn't insist you should stop playing double-stun team because it's suboptimal.
Your playstyle preference is your own thing.
I'm just telling you that Shockstar isn't really providing you with anything of worth, and it's not helping your playstyle either, because of how little impact
get it? it has.
ALL of it can be replaced by just holding BA1 with Lycaon when you DA with him. If you are already doing that, extend it to BA2 (technically it's his BA4) like once and you already got like two Ultimates worth of Shockstar effect.
>getting 1 stack of astral every now and then
Trigger maxes out Astral all on her own.
You can double-stack with Sniper Stance finisher (it happens at the very start of the video related), and you have free QAs on EX and Ultimate.
Also, you can always get hit.
And also, yes, in fact, even one occasional Astral stack here and there is better than running Shockstar on Trigger, which is a waste of time (about 12% Daze increase on her Aftershocks, which are like 25% of the Daze buildup happening with your DPS on the field).
Only Qingyi and Lighter can be somewhat justified using it
in Shiyu occasionally, for everyone else it's just a wasted set effect.
Shockstar loses to Shadow Harmony even if it does improve stun timing, I think I have already mentioned that - because that's something I've had to go through myself.
