>A) If you read the story in one go without monthly breaks, it flows good. It's not "padded out" like you'd believe.
It does not flow good. This is a load of bullshit. That situation with Laplace and Behemoth at the end of chapter 36 was LITERALLY to pad out the story. Everyone said that when those chapters were released. We all said:
>Oh, they did this to pad out the story for the upcoming anniversary and so that Siren can appear to help appease Levi.
And it turns out... it's even WORSE since it had nothing to do with the anniversary. It was just a stupid moment to pad out the story and bring Behemoth's revival back to zero, and make Levi even more distrustful of us... for no reason. That single scene REVERSED all the process. It does not flow well.
>If they tried to wiggle by saying "look just a misunderstanding" then that would be a sign of hostility, since Four Beasts operate on a "with us or against us" basis, and it wouldn't matter anyway because Leviathan would either way immediately attack Counters soon afterwards, prompting Ziz to do the same. No amount of "we're the good guys" would avoid that fight.
Absolute fucking BULLSHIT. Retarded amounts of rediculous cope for a scene that's played as a joke narratively and contextually. It was a bad moment. Their behavior had nothing to do with Behemoth's egg. Had they simply told the truth, Levi's reaction to them would have aligned with SKK's words, "Levi is angry and thinks we betrayed her". The best thing to do there was just to tell the truth to her. The only reason they didn't do that is that the writer wanted SKK to act like Rapi and crack poorly timed jokes. That is Rapi's thing now: making POORLY TIMED jokes. That is what they did in that scene and that is why SKK was cracking jokes at weird fucking moments.
>Rapi and SKK fucking around with a "backstory" also doesn't matter, it's just a joke, SKK was literally dancing for Levi and Behe, they aren't autists that would hound on this little bit of tomfoolery.
He danced there to signal to Cinderella, because it would have otherwise been obvious to Levi and Behemoth what he was doing. The dance was to make them oblivious to that, and that is why they didn't see Cinderella's attack coming. There is a narrative and strategic reason for his actions. This random backstory joke he pulled with Rapi has no narrative purpose or strategic reason. It was done because they thought it was funny and aligned with Rapi's "poorly timed" jokes.
>"Levi wouldn't be hostile" is cope because she had no intention of being on friendly terms with Counters; otherwise, she wouldn't pretend like Counters attacked the Behegg.
It's not about Levi. Ziz thought that SKK and Rapi were liars who were trying to trick her. If they had simply told Ziz, "Levi is angry at us and thinks we betrayed her", that would not have happened. There would have been no reason for Ziz to think they were trying to trick or lie to her, because their story would be in line with Levi's reaction. Ziz might have still attacked them regardless, but lying to people you're trying to ally with "on your first meeting" is fucking DUMB and risky.
