Bill in US congress to stop Visa/Mastercard bullshit Anonymous 07/22/2025 (Tue) 22:12:52 Id: 6415de No. 733634
THERE IS A BILL IN CONGRESS TO STOP PAYMENT PROCESSOR VISA AND MASTERCARD TRICKERY https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/401 https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/987 CALL AND EMAIL YOUR SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN STOP CORPORATIONS FROM RAPING YOUR LIFE >(1) IN GENERAL.—To provide fair access to financial services, a covered bank, including a subsidiary of a covered bank, >shall, except as necessary to comply with another provision of law— >(A) make each financial service the covered bank offers available to all persons in the geographic market served by the covered bank on proportionally equal terms; >(B) not deny any person a financial service the covered bank offers unless the denial is justified by such quantified and documented failure of the person to meet quantitative, >impartial risk-based standards established in advance by the covered bank; >(C) not deny, in coordination with or at the request of others, any person a financial service the covered bank offers; and >(D) when denying any person financial services the covered bank offers, >provide written justification to the person explaining the basis for the denial, >including any specific laws or regulations the covered bank believes are being violated by the person or customer. >(b) Prohibition.—No payment card network, including a subsidiary of a payment card network, may, directly or through any agent, processor, or licensed member of the network, by contract, requirement, condition, penalty, or otherwise, prohibit or inhibit the ability of any person who is in compliance with the law, including section 8 of this Act, to obtain access to services or products of the payment card network because of political or reputational risk considerations. Call your senators, a single letter from idiots caused this much change, so can a single phone call from you.

Governments will really do anything but improve peoples lives.

Japan government noticed this so we'll be fine!
Why won't they just break Visa-Mastercard's monopoly? The shit they've been doing is so outrageous.
>>736829 I don't quite understand it myself, I am a retard though. Why can't another "payment processer" step up and steal some marketshare?
(16.00 MB 7016x4961 127186418_p0.png)

PLAP PLAP PLAP NEEDS CORRECTION
>>737058 Easier said then done. There's Discover and American Express, but both have suffered from anti-competitive tactics from Visa and Mastercard, who have spent decades establishing a duopoly. They basically run the scene now, and have been doing whatever they want the last few years because of it. Since they have such dominant market share and no one can break into the business, they basically get to dictate things. Steam just removed a shitload of games from their store because they complained, for example.
>>737180 Paypal's in on it too.
>>737831 The Paypal mafia needs to be broken up into pieces. If they can do it with Google, why can't they with payment processors?
Realized I fucked up on the thead subject, my bad. Thanks for fixing it.
Please play Blue Archive #TRUMP2028
>>733634 If they can do this to porn games they can do it to gacha too imo
https://www.ign.com/articles/itchio-suddenly-pulls-nsfw-adult-content-from-browse-and-search-pages-after-critical-pressure-from-payment-partners Bets on who goes down next? We all know "mainstream" porn is safe. When do they start attacking the host of sites like e-hentai and the boorus?
>>741634 Gelbooru has already had a few scares this year, so they're probably already on them.
>>741634 exhentai and by extension ehentai are run off of crypto so i doubt anything will happen
>>741634 >Bets on who goes down next? Patreon. They've been pressured for YEARS to remove NSFW content, another push from Visa and Mastercard might finally make them fold completely, killing the platform in the process.
>>736829 you are basically asking countries to bypass SWIFT which is basically influenced by US controlled financial system.
>>741453 That feminist group in Australia responsible for the current processor fiasco wanted to ban Detroit: Become Human and got GTA 5 banned in Australia. I wouldn't be surprise gacha games would be next.
>>742514 I highly doubt Patreon would bend the knee, there's a good reason why they're so resistant. NSFW content is majority of the sites bloodline, they simply can't ban all of it. They would need to either add new rules for specific content or de-index the problematic content so it won't show without direct links of google searches to appease whoever it needs. Otherwise it's dead and creators will move to Pixiv Fanbox or SubscribeStar - the userbase creating content won't vanish, they will find alternatives.
>>741634 >When do they start attacking the host of sites like e-hentai and the boorus Well if the boorus aren't stupid, they'd open a crypto wallet by now.
Maybe we could draft a template letter to email senators with.
>>743224 This, Im retarded
>>742787 >Pixiv Fanbox or SubscribeStar Who processes their payments?
>>744347 Fanbox is weird since they only disabled paypal for newer accounts. If you have an old one you can still use any payment via paypal.
>>742787 Patreon already banned incest, rape, hypnosis and other stuff not too long ago for the exact same reason.
>>733634 >Detroit:Become Human is bad despite it being moralistic >Cuties is good because it's moralistic hold up
>>733634 >Kids accessing rape, incest role-play games A.k.a bad parenting. It all comes down to bad parenting with these things. Also this is the same organization doubling down about cuties: https://x.com/reneechopping/status/1947819118302007622 It's unbelievable how much Karens are on the same level as flat earthers in Dunning Kruger. I also don't get their goal in general. Will they ban animals eventually since they are technically naked and there are animal sex online?
>>767361 Also what these people should petition is for their government to shut down internet in their own countries. They clearly can't handle it.
There's also a Internet ID bill on the US, but I do believe its the one country that can actually fight it, so I hope you do i bros, its getting scar and we need one big country to stand firm against it I now really want to move out of my 3rd country shithole if it gets also scary here
This bill as written isn't good enough to stop the actual problem here. It goes after banks but ignores the payment processors who rape the banks.
>>767361 The problem is that the payment processors usually go after incest/lolicon/whatever fucked up porn enough normies hate that they get away with it. This time people said enough was enough and it hit virality like the Stop Killing Games initiative.
>>737058 You have to have banks accept that card issuer as an option OVER Visa/MC. Then you would have to teach the millions of different businesses how this would benefit them to add another payment system to their mix. Then you would have to spin up some sort of dispute resolution department for card disputes. The barrier to entry is high and the risk of regulatory hammers being dropped if you miss a single period on a document is like a sword of damocles.
Visa/Mastercard seems to be getting hammered with calls and emails over this issue, to the point their customer support representatives are snapping and blowing up at people who call to complain. If you want to make a difference, flood them. Make it impossible to ignore. Frank Cooper - CMO - fcooper@visa.com Ryan McInerney - CEO - mcinerney@visa.com Jack Forestell - CPO and Chief Strategy Officer - jforeste@visa.com Adrienne Trimble - Global Chief Inclusion Officer - atrimble@visa.com Kyle spainho - CFO - kspainho@visa.com Morhaf Mahrous - Morhaf Mahrous - mmahrous@visa.com
>>777908 I don't think hammering their call centers will have any effect, they have scripts to dismiss customers, no matter if those representatives go insane with all the calls, they're paid to get shit as the company's primary shield against customers. Maybe mass-reporting Visa/MC to your local government (like the DOJ in the US) would be a better starter?
In related news, the owner of Gelbooru has gone full conspiracy theorist after Paypal banned his business card. https://x.com/gelbooru/status/1951429570584088643
>>783118 Would suck if Gelbooru goes under, but unironically it's all in those AI art company's databases. Would be funny if they're the ones who bring it back after being villified.
>>783118 ugh how long until this nigger opens a monero wallet, its like hes waiting for the site to come crumbling down
what even happened anyway, why now of all the times
>>796904 People put right leaning governments in power to "own" le trannies, but forgot conservatives are even more trigger happy than the left in terms of censorship, what we're seeing is a natural consequence of the power shift.
>>796904 >Why now of all times Honestly? Not sure. We've always had governments and corporations trying to overreach and infringe on human rights for years, but this is the first time several first-world nations have pushed these retarded regulations almost simultaneously.
>>797953 >British Labor party >right leaning
>>801527 The feminist group from Ausfailia has connections to a conservative anti-porn group in the US, the National Center for Sexual Exploitation. They've renamed themselves to this so it sounds like their purpose is to defend people who were victims of rape or sex trafficking, but most of their work is just them being insanelt butthurt that porn exists at all. They even put fucking EBSCO, the research database that American universities utilize, on their shitlist because they indexed articles and essays about sexual topics which were not in and of themselves pornographic. So in the specific case of the current censorship controversy, that's essentially what is happening. It's an absolutely unholy alliance between American right-wing boomers and Austrailian SJW's. Granted, the payment processors were doing this when Biden was in power in the US, so as usual this is people at the top coming together to fuck us in the ass. We can't miss the forest for the trees just because the side doing this swaps every few years.
>>805314 Look, if we're going to be nuanced about this. This is not an anti porn push, This is the biggest attempt in human history by the global powers to take full control over the lower class people. The current government of Australia, The Liberal Party of Australia, is currently pushing for a total lockdown of the internet. Requiring ID to access search engines. In Iceland, several ISPs have put up a DNS block on VPN providers in the country.(note that VPNs are still legal). Master card, and presumably Visa, have pressured the banks that work with them to go gooning and harass anyone who is distributing 18+ cartoons. You'll notice that OnlyFans, and Fansly are uneffected by all of this. Mastercard sits back and claims that they didn't do anything, since they never sent any communications to these companies to stop what they are doing. The Mexican government has just made it required for all citizens to turn over full biometric data to the government. The EU (who at this point are under full control of germany) are happily going along with their EUDI which by the end of next year should have every European citizen's data collected into a centralized database. The EU has also gone back to pushing for their requirement to scan all private massages for "Illegal content". Ireland's government is looking to give themselves the full ability to monitor all private communications that happen in their country. Florida is suing a massive handful of websites for not requiring ID verification. Rockstar has been talking about how there's a push now to ban GTA. I think the only good thing going on right now is that the US congress's bills to do similar things has gotten very little support so far. Outside of this, it's looking like the western world is about to enter a dark age.
>>805520 Oh absolutely, the kind of stuff being censored now is always the first to go. It's easy to laugh at someone complaining that they can't buy a copy of Loli Rapist Simulator 2025. It's less about the content itself and more about them going after the easiest target as a trojan horse for much harsher censorship and surveillance, in addition to the money governments can make from selling off your private data. Although the monetary motivation is really funny to me because data harvesting and pushing ads isn't a sustainable source of revenue at all, which is why sites like YouTube and Twitter have started pushing for more aggressive monetization policies. But it's all ultimately about creating a giant nanny state that dictates everything you do in your private life, if you can even call it private anymore. Frankly I think we're well past the point of polite debate and if we keep letting them take inches they'll take even more miles.
>>805520 >The Mexican government has just made it required for all citizens to turn over full biometric data to the government. The president has been walking it back lately, we still have hope, the supreme coutr can still shut it down, again
(534.46 KB 500x500 1733446367677370.gif)

>>805520 >The Mexican government has just made it required for all citizens to turn over full biometric data to the government. This sounded dystopian, then I thought about it a bit longer. Since this is Mexico, that would functionally mean the CARTELS have your DNA and fingerprints. Without any irony or embellishment that's an existential crisis. Dios mio.
>>807687 They were selling the laked voting IDs on the subways some months ago, we are fucked
im just hearing this whole mess is written in the constitution, they can pull this and have 180 days or they actually get massively fucked, even if it's jsut in usa it's anti constitutional to not process payments cause "i don't like it" political reasons
>>819475 paypal is now blocking steam around the world they are speedrunnig antitrust
>>733634 Ok but if we're being honest, slop like that should've never been on Steam in the first place. If you want a hentai game you have to wade past hundreds of these AI generated 3D porn knovels with the worst visuals known to man, no real human being buys these or would even play them for free, they're clearly made for money laundering. If they were going after something like House of Lewd Succubus, which is genuinely a good top down horror game, I'd be more apprehensive, but I'm fine with them getting this slop off Steam. Hope they do it for the Nintendo eShop too Btw, I know that they're abusing the issue and don't really care about it, but children having free access to porn is a real problem. There's networks of EPI faggots who post porn on steam privated and then tell kids to look at their favorites in the artwork section to get them hooked on nigger an tranny porn. You can't even let your kid play Roblox on a fully locked down device, if you're not literally breathing down your kid's neck they could be doing fucking anything and you'd have no idea. Sent them to school? Some other kid is showing them Ava Addams getting her asshole blown out by a pack of gorillas. Again, I know they're just using the issue as a trojan horse, but it IS a real issue. "Good parenting" really isn't possible in this day and age, the average first age for exposure to hardcore pornography is 11. That's fucked. You got zoomers watching "how to beat porn addiction" videos on YouTube at 15 to the tune of 2M views.
>>851691 The moral busy-body and it's saga to stop teenagers from looking at titties will never end. Truly a shame. I will pray to you anonymous, good luck on your fight for the Greater Good.
>>851691 >You can't even let your kid play Roblox on a fully locked down device, if you're not literally breathing down your kid's neck they could be doing fucking anything and you'd have no idea. the best solution is to not let your kids interact with strangers online, there are tons of singleplayer games you can give your kid for free that are safer because of the content and not having to interact with weirdos and they are also of much higher quality than whatever fotm cash grab microtransaction littered roblox game i do not understand why its so hard for people to understand that you should not let kids use internet
>>855533 All I know is no kid ever got groomed playing Call of Duty or Halo. They got called a squeaker, every racial slur known to man, and were informed of their mothers' sexual proclivities instead.
So does Trump's recent EO actually do anything to stop these people or is it toothless like I heard some people say?
>>851691 My issue with your appeal to morality is that kids have been doing this for literally ever. Before even VHS, Playboys and Hustlers were smuggled into rooms. I don't see the point of pretending that its any different now that society is more honest about it.
Their argument is literally >YOU CANT HAVE A STEAK BECAUSE A CHILD COULD CHOKE ON IT!!! It's never about what they claim they try to protect, it's always about money.
>>851691 >"Good parenting" really isn't possible in this day and age >no internet shit until you get older It's that simple. There's enough offline games and media that you could legitimately plan the little lads entire childhood and still have a backlog. Legitimately good shit out there. And of course you just play with the kid. Converse. Be a part of their life, genuinely. Don't let your kids become bored idle little fags that subsist on entertainment alone and then wonder why they end up fucked. Ask me how I know. Destroying the freedom of the internet because timmy might get addicted to anime tiddies isn't the way forward.
>>865783 It's not about the money, its narrative control.
>>no internet shit until you get older as if that's easy. if you block them from internet access they'll just setup their social accounts through their friends who were given smartphones at the age of 6.
>>899415 It is that easy. Quit pretending it's morally righteous to drag all of society down with you because you can't handle being held personally responsible for being a parent. >w-w-w-what if they have le friends that disrespect me like in my favorite hollyjew stories??? It's not something you'll have to worry about at any rate, you'll never have kids. Fuck off.
