Qingyi deals a lot of daze with her EX, Dodge Counter, and Ultimate.
Steam Oven is better than Restrained for her. Maybe at P5 Restrained would outperform P5 Steam Oven, but for a more typical P1 vs P5, Steam Oven is very observably ahead.

The complaint was specifically about comparing it to her signature.
25% DEF% Shred is a 15% multiplicative damage increase for the entire team, unless that team is running PEN% (which would make no sense if you're trying to test it).
Disregarding that, the W-Engine 1-to-1 matches and outperforms The Restrained for every stat:
>Restrained: 18% passive Impact
>Spectral Gaze: 20% buff Impact
So Spectral Gaze would always provide more Impact than Restrained
>Restrained: 30% Daze to BAs
>Spectral Gaze: 24% CRIT Rate = 36% Daze to Aftershocks
So Spectral Gaze would always (because neither of the builds was capping out Trigger's AA) provide more Daze
>Restrained: 30% Damage to BAs
>Spectral Gaze: 24% CRIT Rate to everything
So Spectral Gaze would always provide more personal damage
Given the above, if you're comparing the two, and the team damage for Spectral Gaze
somehow ends up being less than 15% ahead, it means Restrained is outperforming Spectral Gaze, which it is
mathematically incapable of doing.
When a "calc-fag" sees this and doesn't immediately question their own testing and/or provide a huge fucking disclaimer to what the fuck is going on - their opinion can be safely disregarded as they lack the fundamental understanding of what the fuck are they even doing.
It's not even the scenario itself that is bad, it's the lack of understanding for
why is this scenario bad that pisses me off.
Aside from that, I'd recommend Steam Oven on Trigger.
Restrained is an alright cope ball on her, but scaling her Aftershock damage/impact is not particularly important.
I'm running her signature and ER% #6 (for better Astral uptime). Most advanced players run ATK%.
