What's up with ''male power fantasies''? Leader of GamerGate 02/10/2016 (Wed) 10:41:55 Id: 0eab2f No. 315719
I noticed that for SJW outrages over games or other works like Dragon Crown with foxy ladies when somebody points when the men get exaggerated and/or idealized traits along with the women some SJW pulls the Male Power Fantasy card. Along with pulling junk like being big and strong helps with what the men do but having big boobs and/or showing more skin doesn't help what the women do (namely in a video that has some tank top wearing white knight pull that card). I've also seen junk like a comic (I don't remember who drew it, but I doubt it came from PA itself considering their stance on Dragon's Crown) that some SJW posted on BoingBoing.net where Gabe from Penny Arcade says he doesn't have a problem with how Dragon's Crown's Sorceress looks ('cause she's an attractive woman with super huge breasts) but would have a problem with the Fighter character showing more skin and having huge testicles (because apparently a man having super huge balls is the same as a woman having super huge boobs). Stuff like that and the Hawkeye Initiative that SJWs think they're clever for pulling out. Has anybody pointed asked if being super hot is a female power fantasy? And so characters like the Sorceress can get away with how they look thanks to that?
The feminine equivalent to "male power fantasy" is: SLUT
SJWs always project. Notice how they make their ideal feminist games and the female lead ends up a Mary Sue? I think a lot of SJWs have given up on being attractive, so they don't view attractiveness of females as power (which it does have over males). Their attitude toward sexy women is more like sour grapes. >I'm fine being overweight >look at those stereotypical bimbos >I'm healthy at every size That's just them saying they're jealous. But they want to be overweight, ugly, etc female characters who have Mary Sue powers instead.

>>315739 The ironic thing is that if you go to any sites like fanfiction.net, or deviantart, all the author avatar OC please do not steal characters are busty with toned thighs and wear revealing goth stuff it may have changed since middle school though
(216.27 KB 1050x526 Penny Arcade.jpg)

I'm sure the OP was talking about this comic.Which indeed came from Penny Arcade. Of course, it's a shoddy attempt. They are acting like drawing a woman with huge breasts is the same as a guy getting a huge cock. For this comic to actually work, they would have to give the Sorceress an actual giant pussy since it's a primary sex characteristics. It's no better than junk like the Hawkeye Initiative or that comic that had one of the men from Mortal Kombat wear a sleave on his cock.
>>315812 And even if the warrior still looked like that I'd still play as him. No one gave a shit when Wol from Mobius Final Fantasy had half his ass cheeks sticking out his low cut leotard, but of course a WOMAN complained he was too sexy. Why? Because it doesn't fucking matter who I play as as long as the game is good. I don't need to identify with my character. If men had to so badly, the new Tomb Raider games would not have sold anything.
>>315812 I think they were just being funny.
>>315739 Bingo. The lowering of standards, especially beauty standards, is a key element of the brown shirt segment of the social justice warrior movement. They can never be beautiful so skinny women with big breasts are considered abominations in the eyes of God. Same thing with beta boys and their war on masculinity. Most of them are wussy types who got the raw end of the genetic stick and as such, since they can never be "manly" in appearance, they now seek to make being manly and masculine be seen as worse than being a Nazi and to enshrine androgyny, rainbow hair, piercings, and tattoos as he new norm, along with making being fat and overweight "the new normal" male bodytype.

>>315812 This was the post accompanying that comic though.

>>315808 I really like the collage of women's romance novels. Gotta say that there's plenty of them that don't sport (visible) sixpacks. Because there's something interesting with romance novels. And gay porn. It's like two huge continents right under our noses that no one cares about. Because real men neither read romance novels nor watch gay porn. The difference is that romance novels can be bought everywhere and gay porn is usually put in a back room in sex shops. But real men like violent video games with tits and ass and therefore it's problematic. The only two exceptions is that soccer hooliganism is treated as some kind of unsolvable problem and that cycling on the sidewalk etc is not treated harshly. (Even though a reaction is brewing.) >>315812 > They are acting like drawing a woman with huge breasts is the same as a guy getting a huge cock. But Anon. Be tolerant. Don't you know that Holkins and Krahulik haven't even seen porn? Because if they do, their mommas gonna give them a sound trashing and let them spend a week in the chicken coop. The chicken coop! >>315855 Then why draw the comic?
>>315857 >Then why draw the comic? Why would anyone ever do anything controversial? Especially when they make money off of people promoting their work, even indirectly. Have you never heard of "any publicity is good publicity?" and the fact that it's being posted here, and discussed, is a pretty good example that it's working for them.
>>315857 He's trying to show himself as fan who's still sympathetic to the complainers. Go figure that there's a comic pulling a dick sleeve card..

There are many types of female power fantasies. I wouldn't be surprised if there were as many women fantasizing about dominating males as there are males fantasizing about dominating females. It's all about personal insecurities as a matter of fact, and more than gender, about human nature.
(38.77 KB 250x369 Sailor Moon.jpg)

>>315871 Don't forget Sailor Moon. With its supermodellike lead ladies wearing outfits showing off their legs with footwear like heels or pumps, having a stud (or lady) devoted to you, being wealthy, and whatever I haven't mentioned.
Here's a thing you will NEVER hear from anyone. Criticizing a WOMAN'S power fantasy. I.E. the ability to manipulate, lie, and string along other people like they were play things and have been doing this since they were little girls. A perfect feminine power fantasy of a video game is The Sims. What better way to play God over people, than a game about that?
(28.08 KB 192x286 Yaoi.jpg)

>>316051 Or you can look at the Yaoi/Fujoshi crowd and note that: 1. It has a larger presence of women (especially straight women) than gay men, both among creators and audiences. 2. You can surely find examples of men being objectified (or whatever they call it) or otherwise shown in a light that some tumblrina would protest if done with women. So, what do you get from a genre in a visual medium that's largely directed at women and which features dazzling men doing man-on-man loving? See the picture.

> female power fantasy? Depends on who you ask. Politically INcorrect women effectively likes to be desired and admired. People hating them for being to pretty and getting jealous is a nice secondary effect. Some women actually have pretty cool female power fantasies. There was this /pol/ girl whose avatar was an armored golden angel with a flaming sword from warhammer 40k
>>315855 >They are not censors though - oh, no no. You'll understand it eventually; what you need to do is censor yourself. I just had to quote this because it's so accurate. Back when I was still willing to argue with SJWs most of them downright said something akin to everyone should have the freedom of speech, but no one should ever exercise it. Often times accompanied with that god awful XKCD comic.
>>316103 >XKCD comic Well there's your problem.
>>316058 Ugly faces. 0/10 would not schlick to.
>>316059 >Barbie sets unrealistic expectations Fuck yeah she does. Have you seen her resume? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbie's_careers Aside from holding ranks in several branches of the military she has also been POTUS and Chancellor of Germany. Is that even possible?
Ultimately both men and women are sexualized (that is, designed in ways that are idealized or exaggerated while drawing attention to and/or emphasizing select sex characteristics along with non-body factors like status). A noticeable amount of major man characters are in either in a fit physical form or at least have attractive faces. You can bring up a character like Otacon from Metal Gear and I'll point out that he's depicted as a spaz who pisses himself, and being an obvious stand-in for otaku isn't an ideal man like Solid Snake. Saying that women aren't attracted to beefcakes like Kratos can be countered by pointing out that plenty of major men aren't designed that way while still overall having attractive designs (like how plenty of major women don't have comically huge tits and/or asses, or even dress that inappropriately when compared with both other men in their games and women in our world). It can also be countered that men at large don't really lean towards a stick with tits look and assorted attractive woman characters could be called female power fantasies if fit and/or powerful men are male power fantasies.
>>316251 >are either in a fit physical form >when compared with both men in their games and women in our world Quick fixes.
(121.29 KB 594x783 I AM ANGRY.png)

>>316103 >everyone should have the freedom of speech, but no one should ever exercise it Spot fucking on. This attitude is what kills it. Chained to the old "you don't have freedom from consequences" shit. It's an excuse to bust out mob violence on people who say something wrong, nothing less.
By the way, look at every time they get their ideal character. It's almost always a Mary Sue. I started seeing people call this the "feminist power fantasy" and I think it's pretty befitting.
