OPERATION MAX REVIVE Rebuild the board's userbase and activity through simple, but effective methods 1. Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels
[Expand Post]https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8ch.net https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8chan Other sites that might yield fruitful results and have anons (art sites use an account so you can see 18+ content): https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=Vivian+James https://www.newgrounds.com/search/summary?suitabilities=etm&terms=Vivian%20James https://twitter.com/search?q=Vivian%20James&src=typed_query&f=image https://rpgcodex.net/ https://old.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/ Somewhere on Telegram Just searching up GG or 8chan-related terms on certain places/sites can get you possible results. 3. Make your own OC/Memes/Content Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. 2. OPERATION TRAJAN: Collect and catalog all of the various localization and censorship accounts of past video games into a single repository from these sources: romhacking.net The_Cutting_Room_Floor/tcrf.net Segaretro.org https://redirect.invidious.io/channel/UCFItIX8SIs4zqhJCHpbeV1A Examples: http://archive.vn/XQOHW Sony's policies forces censorship; JP devs allegedly have to go through ENG approval process: https://archive.fo/awzFF - Japanese blog post about it: https://archive.fo/bF9bE Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids: https://archive.fo/U3GLa - Confirms censorship was deliberate: https://archive.fo/XgAgP - No rules for censorship policies, games judged case-by-case: https://archive.fo/37DhK - Marvelous partner starts petition against policy: https://archive.fo/rxQtf https://archive.fo/84UHo • Twitterfags: Tweet with Sony's stock code $SNE so that investors see your tweets and know you're pissed. • Consider spreading OP Timber materials to targets as well: http://archive.vn/URjtu ONGOING TASKS: A. >>309283 I mean, everything else aside - this is kind of normal for early adoption and experimental craft. Shit tends to fail, errors go unaddressed, and the results are catastrophic. If they were selling these trips to people under the assurance that they were safe, that's a problem - but you have to KNOW the risks when you're going to the most extreme environments where even a minor fault can cause instant (or a horribly slow and painful) death to everyone onboard. Even with designs that are sound and proven - shit happens. Apparently it's made several successful trips to the Titanic before, so the design they had works as a generality - it just has some unaddressed flaws or their maintenance was lacking.
>>309297 >and 10% of sales are donated to a lifeboat charity Considering the occasion, 32% would be a better amount. :^)
>>309298 Every pressure vessel deforms under pressure. There only so many hours a planes pressure hull is allowed to exist under. At a certain point you have to retire it. Same for submarines. The problem with carbon fiber isnt it works until it doesnt, and when it fails it shatters like glass or porcelain. They didnt check it after every dive like everyone else in the world does. So yeah it survived one or two trips. But it was always playing russian roulette.
>>309300 Carbon fiber can still fail silently due to things like delamination, from my bicycle research.
>>309298 >early adoption and experimental craft >you have to KNOW the risks That's what gets me about the billionaires on board. If you're a billionaire, you can afford the best and most reliable stuff there is. >Even with designs that are sound and proven - shit happens. You'd still choose the best you can get over some experimental deathtrap.
>>309298 >>309300 Now let's be fair & acknowledge the people signed contracts that mentioned the risk of death at least 3 times. Then paid 250K willingly. With the man who built it, operated it, & running the whole thing proudly saying he didn't want "50 year old white men" telling him what to do after he was told it wasn't safe.
>>309303 At the very least, he had the balls to be on the craft himself. Call him foolhardy, but he was confident in it's design. It's not like he was sending other people to die while he sat on shore counting their money.
>>309298 >I mean, everything else aside - this is kind of normal for early adoption and experimental craft. Nigger, military grade submarines have existed for going on a century now. This shit sunk because no one did their self appointed jobs. They cut every corner they could when it's already known how to make a functional submarine.
>>309304 >It's not like he was sending other people to die while he sat on shore counting their money. SubGate subplot: the wives be cashing in life insurances.

>>309280 >Social media fags are retarded enough to think being short equals being a minor. The level of stupid just never hits low enough to the point I'm not even sure they even live on this planet. There's sheltered and there are these people so out of touch I doubt they even live on planet earth anymore. When your average NEET has more social grace then these people should tell you how fucking insane these people are and it just keeps getting worse ad infinitum.
>>309304 Yeah a redneck or modern african villager is confident in their design. Doesn't mean Bubba's getting his welded together motorbike to work or Kimbuutoo is gonna take flight with his helicopter without a tail rotor.
(21.80 KB 474x266 OIF.jpg)

>>309302 >You'd still choose the best you can get over some experimental deathtrap. Yeah, I mean, it's not like we don't have the engineering knowledge to create manned DSVs that can make the trip down to even deeper depths, like Challenger Deep. It's just that only one exists right now, and it's owned by fucking Gabe Newell - just for shits and giggles apparently.
>>309281 The entire thing was a distraction tactic by the Biden Administration. The US Navy admitted to knowing on Sunday that the sub imploded and were explicitly told not to tell anyone while the media made people pay attention to that rather than Hunter Biden being let off without any punishment and also the whistleblower exposing the Biden family's 15 proven counts of treason. That's all.
>>309302 >If you're a billionaire, you can afford the best and most reliable stuff there is. But, it isn't profitable to turn it into a business. >>309310 I didn't even know what people were referring to regarding the sub, primarily because I don't watch/read the news and social media.
>>309303 In their defense. It was the only way to see the titanic now. James Cameron went down in a soviet sub off a russian naval ship when he saw the titanic, and thats pretty much what everyone did until... Ukraine. Thats right. The real reason these guys paid $200k more than jimm C for the trip was they didnt wanna ride with the russians. (Also the us and Canada may be less chill with russian boats hanging off our coasts these days.)
Baker! Sub theme for next bread? >>309309 >Gabe Newell >another vidya/submersible connection GG really is getting the blame for this. >>309310 Makes sense I guess. >>309308 >or Kimbuutoo is gonna take flight with his helicopter without a tail rotor. How is Kimbuutoo these days? Building a helicopter now? Last I heard he was building an airship. You never know with him and his crazy ideas.

>>309310 >The entire thing was a distraction tactic by the Biden Administration. Why, though? The Biden Admin has the entirety of the mainstream media in their pocket - even Fox News. They don't need a distraction story. They just get the order to create a blackout - and they won't report on a story. It disappears from the public consciousness, because most people aren't going to dig any deeper than Google/Microsoft Newsfeeds and the TV. You don't need to distract the public. They distract themselves in today's new media landscape. Maybe he did it for shits and giggles? Maybe he had another senior moment and never gave the confirmation to release the information because he was too busy eating a popscicle while getting his diaper changed? It could also be that they wanted to create a lag-time so that they could give the families the information first and they could come to terms with things before being hounded by the media. I posted the pictures of the Challenger explosion earlier - but wasn't the narrative of "instant death" completely fabricated by Regan, when they had audio confirmation that the astronauts were burning alive? I guess at least with that, it was a government agency that fucked up and they didn't want another Apollo 1 fiasco on their hands. Though it is kind of neat to see a Muslim imploding rather than exploding for once.
>>309314 Did a quick search and all the tweets copy-paste the same shit
>>309312 Photos & videos already exist. The sub only had a camera. No windows. You would only be viewing images on tiny desktop monitors. It'd be no different from watching documented videos taken safely. >>309313 He's always building something. His own NASA program will come along any day now.
(262.58 KB 1920x817 Crabs vs sub.jpg)

>>309313 Crab vs sub? >>309316 Literal NPCs uttering stock dialog.
>>309315 >Why, though? Precisely BECAUSE of that. Humiliation. That's how communist propaganda operates. "We know you're powerless. You know we know you're powerless. We know you know we know you're powerless. We're going to keep doing this to you anyway." They've done it for centuries.
>>309314 I tried searching twitter for you and now I have brain cancer. I fucking hate blue checkmarks. https://nitter.net/amiran_sherwin/status/1671500778933039104#m Oh, and I found something for the list as well: https://nitter.net/AricDomane/status/1672034146502287360#m >50% of Gen Z suffering depression I'm sure you guys can come up with something wittier, I need some rest after browsing that toxic waste dump.
>>309320 Nice find, however I can't think of anything funny for an entry.
>>309317 Titans single tiny viewport was located directly over the toilet. Is that really worth $200k more dollars? Also it killed them. So clearly no.
>>309320 >>309321 The reason 50% of kids don't enjoy the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch
>>309317 >The sub only had a camera. The sub had a viewing port that was only rated to 1600m by the manufacturer (they routinely took it to 4000m). It's a likely candidate for failure. Though, the company may have some evidence that the manufacturer didn't want to rate it to 4000m because they didn't want to assume more risk without more money. Though, I've read that they had to replace the carbon fiber hull already (due to >>309300 ). If that was after 2021, then the hull should have been replaced every season. If that was after 2022, then this was an early (possibly even first) dive with the new hull. Anyway, it looks like their safety expert was right: the hull failure detection system did not give enough time for it to be a safety system.
Nevermind I checked and the russian MIR subs had THREE viewports. >The Mir submersibles are 7.8 m long, 3.6 m wide, 3.0 m high, and weigh 18,600 kg (maximum payload is 290 kg). The personnel sphere's walls are 5 cm thick, and the inside diameter of the working area is 2.1 m. Three viewports are provided (viewport material is 18 cm thick): the forward-facing port is 20 cm diameter; the two side-facing ports are 12 cm diameter each. So they paid 200 hundred thousand more dollars for a smaller viewport that was above a toilet. And it also killed them. Again not to get political but just rent the russian sub. It was a wiser choice all around.
>>309313 >>309314 You sure you want me to go with an Oceangate theme?
>>309326 Joe Biden murders British and Paki billionaires to cover up Hunter sentencing.

>>309329 Yeah do subs.
