>>278342 >I’m going to reply to everything you said without taking into account that it’s replying to posed scenarios You tried. If you’re complaining about a rule breaking post instead of reporting it, you’re apart of the problem. Saying you don’t need to prove anything when demanding someone be banned although they’re not breaking any rules means you’re the problem. Saying it’s irrelevant if any rules were broken and posters you don’t like should be banned on principle instead of rules means that you’re the problem. Arbitrarily stopping your own line of reasoning when it involves YOU as the hypothetical OP because someone in that thread does something contradictory to what YOU said, although everything else in your own logic would lead to YOU getting banned as well since you started the chain of events that lead to it even if you had no ill intent means that your reasoning, your thinking, and you are apart of the problem. You’re literally the problem. Rules for thee but not for me doesn’t qualify. Your principles and emotions are invalid. Thank fucking lord that you’re not a mod because your objectivity is out the fucking window.

>>278363 >the very first line states that the previous post was in reply to the posed scenario about seek-and-destroy style moderation >miss the point again Pic related. >no one said nothing needed to be proven >Torfag literally said “I don’t need to prove anything” Pic related. >disregards the fact that his opinion flipped when the scenario had him as OP when it came to CP shitposting and suddenly the thread shouldn’t get nuked >saying my feeling aren’t important to the rules doesn’t make it so Pic related. >Torfag slips up and jumps off of tor for this post >why this is, nobody will know Pic related. >>278368 Sorry dude, rules matter. Saying they should change based on feelings instead of the legally-based global guidelines is the toppest-tier of faggotry. If you don’t break a rule, you shouldn’t be banned no matter how bad the IP jumping Torfag wants them to.
>>278375 >How much do you think they're doing to the younger generation right now? What do you anticipate the kids after that will be like? Considering about 70% of the memes you see nowadays come from them, like the living embodiment of a 4chan thread.
>>14869 >legally-based >based
>>278375 Not much. Kids and teens are increasingly fed up with what amounts to IRL pedantic rulecucking, and old media is dying out. Only North America and Bri'an are in any serious trouble for the moment. Still wouldn't hurt to help out your local community some, though.
Before I forget: cytu.be/r/jackbox1 is now live and the games will begin shortly.
>>278375 Look at it this way. It's the lefties that are the ones not having children more than right-leaning people. Kids are still very much influenced by the adults in their life. You may see shit like kids on social media as young as 9 saying they're a tranny or supporting BLM but for every one of those kids you have more of the ones who go on cawaduty and call people niggers and faggots. Also take into consideration that there are the older generation of lefties who have just been democrat voters all their life but they couldn't give a shit about woke politics. If you really think about it, the looney woke/commie population is outnumbered by all sides of the political spectrum. So basically what I'm saying is right now Gen Z has a bigger right-wing population but the lefties still have the large corporations and media to influence easily impressionable kids and the right needs to do something to combat that.

Tokyo Court: Posting Manga Dialogue Without Authorization Is Copyright Infringement https://archive.is/TUnZn >The Tokyo District Court ruled on Friday that unauthorized posting of manga dialogue text is considered copyright infringement. Shogakukan had requested information from a "spoiler website's" server provider on a person who had posted nearly the entire dialogue text of a manga, without authorization, from January 2019 to May 2020. Judge Yoshiaki Shibata stated that this person's action constitutes infringement on the copyrights of reproduction and public transmission, and the court ordered that the person's information be disclosed to Shogakukan.

Then people would only care about whatever Lord Byron wrote and would follow him not the franchises he made. The simple solution to unkiking copyright is to make it creator based and not corporate based. A publisher can make money off the intellectual property of say Alan Moore but Moore by law is stuck with his characters, and once he dies they go into the public domain, and anyone who uses them must pay him a fee for doing so. DC can't own his characters or property, he does, and once he dies, they go into the public domain with all documentation citing him as creator.

Clockwork Orange’ Droogs Cameo in ‘Space Jam’ Trailer, Pepe Sidelined >While Pepe Le Pew’s “rape-y” behavior was apparently deemed too problematic to include him in the ‘Space Jam’ sequel, a group of actual onscreen rapists are set to cameo. >The first official trailer for ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ dropped this weekend — and it shows LeBron James descending not just into the Looney Tunes world for a do-or-die basketball game … but in a world full of classic movie characters, hand-drawn or otherwise. >In the new teaser, you see LeBron and Co. on a basketball court in a stadium-like setting — which is full of real-life human cameos from the likes of Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and Diana Taurasi, but there’s also pantheon greats from the cinematic universe sprinkled throughout … like ‘Batman’ characters, ‘Mad Max’ characters, ‘Scooby Doo’ characters, ‘GOT’ characters … and, strangely, ‘A Clockwork Orange’ characters too. >Yes, we’re talking Alex and his gang of Droogs — famous for their all-white outfits and their bowler hats. And even more famous (or infamous) is their brutal rape scene in the 1971 Kubrick film, which is depicted in graphic detail … and definitely NOT family-friendly by any stretch. https://archive.ph/G9emV According to WB le pew and Lola bunny have boobies problematic. How dangerous is India’s ‘double mutant’ COVID-19 variant? >It is beginning to feel as though not a week can go by without scientists identifying a new variant of the coronavirus. Each time a new strain is announced, I feel myself becoming increasingly numb to the shock factor that the headline is supposed to trigger. >In late March, India’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), a division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, announced that a new variant – dubbed a “double mutant” – had been identified in samples of saliva taken from people in Maharashtra, Delhi, and Punjab. This comes on the back of a month that has seen a surge in cases of COVID-19 across India, with many states re-imposing curfews, restrictions, and lockdown measures. https://archive.ph/ZhUXB Russia says in talks to make more military equipment in India >NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Russia and India are discussing "additional" production of Russian military equipment in India, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Tuesday, in a move that could irk the United States which frowns upon countries engaged in defense trade with Moscow. >Speaking at a joint news conference with India's Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Lavrov did not specify what kind of equipment could be made in India. Officials from both countries have said their governments have been discussing for some years the possibility of making Russian military helicopters in India. >We have confirmed our determination towards the development of military-technical cooperation," Lavrov told the briefing, adding there was an inter-governmental commission dealing with the subject. >It has its plans, and the prospects for additional production of Russian military equipment on India’s territory are under discussion,” he said. >India has made Russian MiG fighter planes and Su-30 jets under license and the two countries have collaborated to develop and produce supersonic BrahMos cruise missiles in India. >While joint defense production would fit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship Make-in-India program, it could rile the United States, which has been targeting Russia's defense and intelligence sectors with trade sanctions for Moscow's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine and U.S. intelligence findings it has meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. >Lavrov said the United States has been trying to discourage countries from buying Russian weapons, but U.S. objections did not feature during his talks with Jaishankar, which had focused on deepening military ties. >Washington has already warned New Delhi that it could face sanctions if it goes through with the purchase of Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile systems under a deal struck in 2018, though it has not made the same threat over other Indian arms purchases from Russia. >Last year, the United States sanctioned Turkey for buying S-400 systems. India made an initial payment of $800 million in 2019, and the first set of missile batteries is expected to be delivered towards the end of this year. >Jaishankar said ties with Russia were time-tested and that the two sides also discussed a summit meeting between Modi and President Vladimir Putin later this year. India-Russia ties are characterized by consistent ability to identify and update shared interests," he said. >Russia has traditionally been India's main arms supplier but Delhi has turned to the United States and Israel in recent years for supplies of attack helicopters, transport planes, and high-tech drones, and other surveillance equipment. https://archive.ph/nJ6yD Anyone else noticed every time India goes against Chinese and American foreign policies they get a new mutated Covid 19 strain?

>>14968 He goes to jail because his friends left him to rot after a break in, acts like a model prisoner, is offered some kind of experiment in exchange for a shorter sentence which he accepts. He has drugs pumped into him and is forced to watch violence while listening to classical music, which he's a fan of, and all of that causes him to go horribly nauseous whenever he wants to commit some fun violence or even listen to his music. He goes out into the world unable to beat people up anymore or even listen to Beethoven, his parents rented his room out to i think a slav worker so he doesn't have a place to stay anymore, two of his gang became cops, beat him up and ditched him in the countryside where he's found and rescued by a kindly guy in a wheelchair who is actually against the conditioning experiment and used Alex as an icon to rally against it, calling him some kind of clockwork orange. Later the man learns that Alex was the one who killed his wife and crippled him in a break-in a few years back, gives hi a room at the top of a five-floor apartment, and pumps classical music in to make him jump out the window to kill himself, which he does. Alex then wakes up in the hospital where he learns the guy was arrested, the government felt so bad they somehow undid the conditioning and also gave him a comfy government job, the slav worker was beat up by cops and went back home to recuperate, and the book ends with him happily laying in the hospital bed listening to Beethoven's glorious ninth. The moral of the story is be a horrible person and you can fall ass-backwards into a better life; incidentally the girls scene happened towards the start of the book, before prison.

Small creators are the most affected and big corp shit like Android still gets around it by just making a wrapper. Custom ROMs for phones have to rely on reverse engineering efforts.

Also, quick question: If the removal of copyright, patents, and trademarks is the answer to "improvement and advancement"; then why hasn't any derivative of Unix (Perhaps the most power "public domain" OS) been rebuilt from the ground up? Unix, and all it's derivatives (BSD, Linux, MacOS, etc.), are all dependent upon an operating system and framework programmed back in the 70's, that even it's own creators scrapped for a redesigned OS infrastructure, and has been hacked together with shoestring and duct tape for modern systems, with all legitimate problems in the environment having the community's universal response of "Fix it yourself".

Corporations are not people. The world needs it to change.
>>15098 Yes, he's probably referring to how in the next few years transistors are planned to get as small as it's physically possible to make them without getting fucked by stuff like quantum tunneling. Just making transistors smaller so you can fit more has been what they've been doing the whole history of computing, so this makes the path for future advancement unclear. They're working on 3D chips where instead of a single layer of transistors it's multiple layers sandwiched on top of each other, they're already making them for SSDs, but with processors it causes cooling issues. There are prototypes where they put channels through the chip that a liquid goes through to both cool it internally and transmit power but it's probably the sort of thing that's not ready for production very soon if ever. There's also the idea of specialization where instead of making the chip generally more powerful it's custom built to be good at specific tasks, but that might be bad for general users because they're designing expensive custom machine-learning chips or energy-efficient smartphone chips or whatever but normal people might not get the benefit of chips generally getting faster every year. And there's some research on using exotic materials like graphene to push the clockspeed faster even without smaller transistors, but that's even further from production if it ever works out.
>>15101 >If I'm understanding things right, computers are already as good as they're going to get unless someone reinvents the wheel. You're wrong. >current computer architecture (x86_64) has been "fully explored" Are you working at Intel or how do you come up with such a claim? >PowerPC will be replaced with ARM It won't. Power ISA is newer than ARM and ARM is newer than x86. ARM has better computation per Watt than both of the others but it's slower than x86 because of it's RISC instruction set where you need many instructions to do what one instruction does on x86. Power is the fastest and newest but the applications are all written and optimized for x86 resulting in no demand for Power PCs and no consumer devices for sale which is why an equivalent desktop costs 2000 dollars instead of 400. The reason why that still is, is because they can still make shit smaller for the decades to come. Even if they couldn't make it smaller you could still make the layout and design of the CPU parts better. They're just talking about an eventual end because atoms are only so small and it becomes increasingly harder to do but we have increasingly better ways of doing it.
>>15102 >Corporations are not people Well actually under US law they can be
>>14940 So, what's the workaround? What if they went the route of the Chinese? This is a fun one, basically to sell games that are supposed to be censored in China, there's some paper companies and unofficial websites that list the game under its literal translation. One case involved the Diablo series, which is forbidden because of dumb censorship on demonic shit, so the resellers just called it Big Pineapple, or "Da-Bo-Luo". What's stopping spoiler guys to just take the original transcript as-is, then change the Kanji into their hiragana representation, but rather than using the one that the manga writer intended to use, they just went with the second most popular or anyhow any other form that would translate to jibberish if re-read? What if they just used a different Kanji with the same reading? Heck, at that point, what's stopping them from just posting the romanji version of parts of the script? As far as the court is concerned, the copyright only affects what's written in the form that it's already written, not what it actually means.

Because of this, there likely is no centralized server unless you take down the entire blockchain and any active users. So the need for multiple clients arises because the government can do their equivalent of a DMCA, except not complying might break criminal rather than copyright law. tl;dr they likely don't use servers for trackers, the blockchain just mentions all the users to try connecting to to establish further peer connections

As part of some of those degrees you may for example design and fabricate your own ICs with your own hands, or have a design of yours made for either analog or digital chips, or even design your own IP cores. The Showa series ends up having like twice as many movies, and a lot of the non-Godzilla ones are better anyway. >>15240 >Basically I'm a dumbass that thought MOST but not all of the movies where on one big timeline. You're correct. The original timeline is the longest by far. But then it got rebooted. Then after a few movies in that timeline, which has the closest you'll get to a coherent story, they did a bunch of movies in a row that were all standalone, except for two that were connected, just to make it a little more confusing. Then there are the recent American ones that link up.

Largest trading bloc in the world, by size, is USMCA (USA-Mexico-Canada), not the EU >U.S. President Donald Trump took office in January 2017. Part of his election manifesto was to repudiate NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and to negotiate a new deal with Canada and Mexico. >Just 21 months after President Trump took office, in September 2018 the United States, Mexico, and Canada reached an agreement to replace NAFTA with the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA). All three countries had ratified it by March 2020. >Virtually unreported by the UK mainstream media, the USMCA deal formally took effect on 01 July 2020, replacing the old NAFTA agreement. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom – the EU’s second-largest economy until it left the EU (in name only) in January - will complete the exit process on 31 December 2020 when it leaves the ‘Transition Period’ agreed by Theresa May and subsequently agreed and signed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on 28 January this year. The UK is still precluded by EU diktat from implementing trade deals such as USMCA. >The EU is very fond of pretending to be a country, whereas it is an association of 27 countries linked by various treaties, none of whose citizens have been given a vote about whether the EU should become a superstate in its own right. Conversely, the USA, Canada, and Mexico are real countries and they make no pretense of being one superstate. Each country contains states which have varying degrees of autonomy, but which all exist under national governments and whose citizens (or the vast majority thereof) recognize and respect the name of their own country. They remain independent, have their independent courts, but have a new trading agreement. Friendly reminder Trump single-handedly created a trading block bigger than the EU without the EU federalization powers assuming Biden won’t screw it up. Most Americans don’t even know Trump replaced NAFTA with a trade deal that benefits Canada and Mexico equally. https://archive.ph/8ulyZ
Live crabs stolen from tank outside Morro Bay fish market >At least 15 live crabs were taken from the crab tank outside Giovanni's Fish Market over the weekend and it was all caught on video. >Owner Giovanni DeGarimore says when he got the call from the alarm company just before 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, he thought it was a false alarm. I pulled up the camera on my phone and sure enough I saw this gate was open about a foot and I was like, 'Oh my!'" DeGarimore explained. >In a matter of about eight minutes, a masked man opened the gate to the tank with bolt cutters and removed 15 to 20 crabs. He loaded them into a bucket and then into his car. It felt very personal," DeGarimore said. "It was sad. It was disheartening." >He says it looked like the man knew what he was doing. To be able to take two and put them in your car like this, it takes some skill. If you get anywhere on the wrong part of the business end here, they'll break your finger," DeGarimore said. >He says the thief took off with a few hundred dollars worth of the shellfish currently going for $19 a pound. The fisherman are not catching a lot. I just unloaded a boat this morning and he only had 387 pounds which is dismal. You know, they like to come in at 3, 4-thousand pounds >DeGarimore explained. To the Europoors in this thread, I have to ask, is government regulation of business a Western European desire or is it universal across all of Europe: >The Gig Economy: flexible freedom or wage slavery? http://web.archive.org/web/20210407153326/https://www.euronews.com/2021/04/07/the-gig-economy-flexible-freedom-or-wage-slavery The reason I even bring this up is that their entire argument for regulating service businesses like Postmates and Uber ENTIRELY boils down to: <Employees are too stupid to research which jobs provide the most benefits and conditions, and/or switch one job for another if they feel unsatisfied with their current employment. Therefore, it is the obligation of the EU to enact legislation that controls this thriving market. And, if you DON'T want the EU to get involved, then you are an idiot because your employment has blinded you to the "terrible circumstances" your really living in thanks to the "gamifcation", "freedom", and "fun" of your employment's business model.
>>15308 I am sure it's strictly West European thing, because I didn't saw anything about that in my country. t.kurwa

>>15319 Merely pretending nigger
>>15308 If it's about the taxi vs uber issue is mostly that taxi drivers are really butthurt uber can just operate without the scam-like licences the government requires for taxi drivers because a taxi driver is almost a "public service" i.e. monopoly of the government about how many taxi drivers you can have in a city. The requirements are ridiculous even if it's the regular guy the one who has to invest in a car and all the equipment. Uber just uses the app and skips all the regulations.
>>15321 I'm not sure if it's the same in Europe, however I remember that said "taxi license" is a physical medallion that you bolt to your car here in the U.S.. Couldn't they just sell the medallion for a profit and start making money as an Uber driver? They already have all the tools, so why not?
>>15322 You get an ID card and lots of papers. Also other taxi drivers will just beat the shit out of you, or at least here in Spain. There is also some sort of scandal about people abusing the system and getting as many licences possible just to rent them to other drivers, because apparently you can do that.
>>15304 >>15305 >>15306 >>15311 Still no archive.
>>15308 Don't know if Euros have HomeAdvisor or any handyman gig sites but they need to be regulated. Too many spics do half work, these sites are scams if you aren't careful.
>>15322 Selling the medallion for a profit only works if the medallion promises to earn you more money in the long run. Uber has made the value of taxi medallions go way, way down because suddenly there's pricing competition and not a deliberately undersized monopoly to artificially drive up prices. >>15308 Gig economy is shit though, because it gives no stability. On the other hand, companies running on it also have an inherent advantage in the first world since they don't have to pay for healthcare/pension/13th salaries and don't have to care about days off, meaning they'll win out in the long run without government intervention, though admittedly it's curing what it caused.

In an Agrarian society or a purely industrial one they'd work perfectly fine (not necessarily live as nicely), but in the service-oriented society our useless intellectuals have created there's tons of low skill low income jobs that need to be worked to keep the cogs turning. Food or package delivery is one of those, and many of those who work in there are too stupid or too poor to afford anything better. Nonetheless, treating them as literal slaves is unprofitable for the government and untenable for a functioning society. >and/or switch one job for another if they feel unsatisfied with their current employment An addendum to my former point, since they possess no qualifications, it also means they're not a necessity. It's much better to put them to use and overpay them than keep them uselessly wasting away within an usurious welfare state. This however means putting a wedge in entrepreneurs' pockets, but while a smart government would try and make the wedge feel like just a scratch, the majority of the "oh we need the poor's vote" "representative" "democracies" make this wedge untenable. The result is that either the companies employing these unemployables pack up and leave for governments with less strict regulations or they just find loopholes and keep paying them dirt cheap. THIS is the crux of the problem. They're all intellectuals who want a centrally run mega state where all decisions come from their infinite wisdom. They learnt nothing out of how and why the Soviet Union collapsed. They'll create commissions and think tanks and polls and focus groups and never get done with anything ever because they can't bear responsibility for the laws they are proposing. A street-smart guy is needed at the city level, and they don't want to hear anything, lest their useless degrees would have meant nothing.

This part of the brain is still developing in teens and doesn’t complete its growth until approximately early to mid 20’s. The prefrontal cortex performs reasoning, planning, judgment, and impulse control, necessities for being an adult. Without the fully development prefrontal cortex, a teen might make poor decisions and lack the inability to discern whether a situation is safe. Teens tend to experiment with risky behavior and don’t fully recognize the consequences of their choices.

They fight his robot and accidentally kill him while his son Jojo watches via TV. A movement forms and the girls are outlawed from fighting crime, then they break up as a group. Then cut to commercial Act 1 by the way my cliffnotes arent the best way to experience the story lol so use it to get a vibe but know itll be a lot different on TV (and things might get cut/shifted around/improved/worsened) By the way Jojo was obsessed with blossom as a kid and a teenager Timeskip to them as adults (25 year olds), living separate lives Buttercup is a firefighter somewhat hiding her powers Bubbles is in Hollywood capitalizing on her fame (selling merch and walking around Hollywood) Blossom attends an "elite's women's college collecting degrees to cocoon herself from the harsh sting of the real world". Has a boyfriend named Clive Plot - Blossom has to return to Townsville to collect her trust fund with the gals for the 25th birthday, though she's really not fucking with it. Jojo is now the mayor of townsville, has a pet monkey. 2nd term looks unlikely for him. He's also "that type" Buttercup meets up with Bubbles, who is simultaneously filming a documentary about her career and their reunion. Utonium is still an asshole, alerting press and encouraging the filming of their reunion Blossom legit has PTSD about their whole childhood, when Utonium suggests monsters could be returning to the town (despite disappearing for years) she passes out. We get a setup of what the threat is going to be - a mind controlling monster. Act 2 Utonium is grasping at straws for possible threats, the girls are pretty wise to his antics by now. Bubbles is surprisingly game for it for the footage and convinces Buttercup to join in. Utonium offers Blossom to just stay and catch up with him, she opts to go with the girls instead of doing that The rowdy rough boys are introduced as the possible source of the mediocre threat Utonium mentioned They meet up and have history - Butch is described as a hot bartender that was once engaged to Bubbles (who doesnt give a fuck but they makeout later) They run into someone mind controlled, who gets promptly manhandled by Buttercup after he grabs her. Get kicked out the bar They get mad at each other then notice they're near the place Utonium described as causing internet disturbances Cut to the villains, right above the area and disturbing the internet with their lair. Jojo is working with someone who can mind control people, and wants them to control the girls to commit some crime so he can save the day. Jojo threatens the person to succeed or else yada yada I liked the choices at first but now its settling in and im checking out so basically the rest - Blossom confronts Utonium but he denies causing anything Bubbles wants to show the footage of the mindcontrolled guy to Utonium, as she does Bubbles leaves and Utonium expresses regret to Blossom about being a shit dad

They all have a confrontation about the way they were raised, then awkwardly dip out Blossom meets up with Utonium's ex Sara Bellum and they have a heart-to-heart Blossom directly confronts Utonium but he got mind controlled and doesn'tr espond so she dips out THey figure out its a mindcontrol type deal Jojo shifts gears and wants to infect a bunch of people then have controlled-utonium confess They do, then when Jojo can get the girls arrested/blamed he shifts gears again and decides he wants them to watch Utonium die Buttercup is not even interested in helping the regular people since they kicked them out, but Bubbles and Blossom convince her they save everybody including utonium town wants them to stay permanently Jojo (who has yet to be discovered) comes by and gives them a blossom action figure he always had, he and blossom flirt despite blossom having a boyfriend (didnt come to town with her) The girl deliberate on staying in town END REVEALS - Utonium reveals a secret lab and yeah he was making the threats the girls were facing Jojo calls the monkey his dad and says they'll figure out a way to take out the girls

Is there a way we can make Jewtube even WORSE of a site to use? Let me explain, I think Jewtube's inconsistency in moderation is designed with speech control second, AND STORAGE LIMITATIONS FIRST. It has been disclosed for years that Jewtube has been operating in the red. And, despite the perceptions perceived, computer storage is expensive. So, in order to control the limited storage (Until they buy more space), Jewtube removes the "problematic" and redundant channels as a release valve to their storage problems. Now here is where we can come in. All that needs to be done is finding the biggest video (In terms of file size) on Jewtube, download them, and then reupload them en masse. The first step may be harder than it sounds as Jewtube has designed their site around extreme video optimization. In the past few years that I have been downloading Jewtube videos in their highest quality possible (Including entire hours of gameplay videos), the "biggest" one I downloaded was a 10 hour Pikachu Nya Nya video, which is 4 GB big. With this knowledge, I think it adds credibility to this limited storage theory, that they designed the site around providing videos in the best quality with as little space as possible. So, after the large videos are found, and downloaded in their original bloated size, what then happens is that people create accounts and re-upload the videos en masse. It doesn't need to be spammed as even 10 people uploading a 4GB video, once a day, every day, over the course of two weeks, would result in a 560 GB being uploaded total (So, over 1 TB in a month's time). To make this even more effective, the titles, descriptions, and thumbnails of "trending" videos could be copied to make the search even more terrible since the algorithm is designed around prioritizing longer videos, so these reuploaded 4GB videos would see more prominence than whatever people are really searching for. In addition, it could also be a counter to the removal of the dislike button, as people could then like the reuploaded 4GB as an act of defiance to make things even more bloated and inefficient. Also, it could be researched to see if there is some way to disguise the video's true "length" and "size" to closer match that of the video it's disguising as. The only limitations I see to this plan is Jewtube eventually deleting the fake videos, which could be easily solved by finding ways to make another channel, and making a new channel after ever upload. Another limitation may be Jewtube enacting some sort of checksum system, but I think that could be easily bypassed and cause more problems than it solves for them. Another limitation may be "data-caps", but I think those are just limited to downloads (And you're just downloading a handful of videos once) and have no bearing on uploading videos (And, even then, it's suppose to a gradual task, not spamming the site). What do you guys think? I'll also copy this to the next thread.
>>15473 But why? Just record yourself playing videogames and upload it even if you're shit, and private it. I still have a video of escaping tanoa alone in arma 3 on a jet ski while the rest of the server gets shot up, someone in a boat attempts to ram me but is launched off my model and explodes in the water, and newfags couldn't land a helicopter making me the only survivor. You can likely mess around with OBS settings to create the most nigger of files, like ultrafast encoding at 10k bitrate with your output upscaled to 8k60fps.

>>15433 The worst shit I have read in my entire life. Just fuck my shit up.
>>15475 Reading through it again, i suppose its the most efficient use of bandwidth to use pre-compressed video, but if you don't have a bandwidth cap making them encode garbage videos like mine and still storing them in 8k60fps wastes both storage and processing power, as well as not being duplicate content that they might detect.
>>15477 >still storing them in 8k60fps Someone in another thread was talking about how resolution and FPS has a near non-existent impact on actual file size.
>>15473 Stream vidya all day everyday, easy way to make filler videos / channels as VODs are saved as videos automatically.
(110.29 KB 1044x744 2021-04-08 09_32_36-Window.png)

>>15478 If you ever used youtube-dl I'm not sure how you would believe that, doubling the fps adds about 50% more to the filesize on youtube. If you keep the bitrate limit at 500kbps, then yeah it wont matter if its 1080p or 4k, because it will encode 500kb every second. Youtube's encoding likely wouldn't create such choppy videos, so it would raise that bitrate alongside the resolution. >>15478 jewtube will encode with higher bitrate for each step in increased resolution.
>>15480 >>15478 Also the higher the resolution, the more copies of that video that youtube stores. It isn't re-encoding an 8k video in real time for 720p watchers. The column after the resolution also lists the bitrate, you can see the difference.

https://archive.is/qem3X A teeth clenching admission.
>>15486 >teethclenching With everything else happening they'll just quietly retract what they wrote and report this with no fanfare before jumping onto the next big thing.
>>15482 >Also the higher the resolution, the more copies of that video that youtube stores Wouldn't that be highly inefficient, though? To have 20 copies of the same video in different resolutions and bitrates, instead of one video that's a copy of the original and re-encoded into a easily convertible format, that can then be re-encoded to whatever format the user's select?
>>15486 In retrospect, doesn't that make lask week's conclusion of the Q doc even MORE hilarious?
>>15108 >>15101 >>15098 I just read this great article from 2003. https://www.osnews.com/story/3997/analysis-x86-vs-ppc/ A lot of thing are true and still hold true with x86_64 but the end of the world predictions never fulfill themselves. >What is going to be a hurdle for x86 systems is heat. x86 CPUs already get hot and require considerable cooling but this is getting worse and eventually it will hit a wall. A report by the publishers of Microprocessor Report indicated that Intel is expected to start hitting the heat wall in 2004. It took until 2019 for Intel to make the i9. It did happen but not at the speed predicted. While people make articles now about reaching the smallest size possible, it's still going to take a while and won't mean the end of it. >The computer age as we know it is at an end. The massive growth of the computer market is ending as the market is reaching saturation. Companies wishing to sell more computers will need to find reasons for people to upgrade, unfortunately these reasons are beginning to run out. Many people say that now. This guy said it in 2003. However computers have gotten significantly faster since 2003, so we should learn from this past mistake and accept that the future may still hold improvements in store for us. We don't know what they are, they're in the future. >VIA have managed to get power usage down even at 1GHz levels but they too use a different architecture. The VIA C3 series is a very simple CPU based on an architecture which forgoes the advanced features like instruction re-ordering and multiple execution units. The nearest equivalent is the 486 launched way back in 1989. This simplified approach produces something of a compromise however, at 800MHz it still requires a fan and even at 1GHz the performance is abysmal – a 1.3GHz Celeron completely destroys it in multiple benchmarks [7]. This is still a valid point. It was like then back then and it's still like this now. They need fucking cooling, no matter how slow they are. Every fucking laptop with x86. Meanwhile the ARM dev box with 24 cores 1 GHz each works with no fan or heatsink. Or look at all those ARM tablets and phones. They have no cooling at all and are in a fully closed case where the any heat accumulates.
>>15490 >Or look at all those ARM tablets and phones. They have no cooling at all and are in a fully closed case where the any heat accumulates. Bullshit! My previous phone, from six years ago, has a ARM CPU and it turned into a cast-iron skillet after playing Crazy Taxi for 15 minutes. And, that was the case from when I took it out of the box to even today.
>>15491 If it had an x86_64 would it have lasted that long? And your battery would have been dry after half the time. Think about it.
>>15489 Did this Q documentary also talk about Hollywood leeching blood off of children to extend their life Because now it seems Hollywood is embracing that image

>In January, we began enforcing our updated Hateful Conduct and Harassment policy so we could better protect every community on Twitch. In case you missed it, the refreshed policy features a clearer and more consistent stance against hate and harassment, and gives you more insight on what is and isn’t acceptable on Twitch >Today, we’re shifting focus and talking about how we plan to address severe misconduct that impacts the Twitch community, but happens off Twitch >We are updating and expanding our approach to off-service enforcement, which now falls into two categories: <Category one: Someone is harassed on Twitch, as well as off Twitch. When this happens, we will take into account verifiable, off-service behaviors or statements that relate to an incident that took place on Twitch. For example: if we’re reviewing a harassment report about an incident that happened live on stream, related or continued harassment on Twitter could be taken into account when reported to us. This is how our current off-service policy works in the vast majority of cases, and will not change <Category two: We will now enforce against serious offenses that pose a substantial safety risk to the Twitch community, even if these actions occur entirely off Twitch. Examples of these behaviors include: <Deadly violence and violent extremism <Terrorist activities or recruiting <Explicit and/or credible threats of mass violence (i.e. threats against a group of people, event, or location where people would gather). <Leadership or membership in a known hate group <Carrying out or acting as an accomplice to non-consensual sexual activities and/or sexual assault <Sexual exploitation of children, such as child grooming and solicitation/distribution of underage sexual materials <Actions that would directly and explicitly compromise the physical safety of the Twitch community, such as threatening violence at a Twitch event <Explicit and/or credible threats against Twitch, including Twitch staff >In order to be as thorough and efficient as possible in these situations, we’re bringing on a highly-regarded third party investigative partner to support our internal team with these investigations >This partner is an experienced investigations law firm that is dedicated to conducting independent workplace and campus investigations including those related to sexual discrimination or assault. They have deep expertise in these types of cases, as well as training in conducting investigations with respect and sensitivity to all parties involved. This partnership will allow us to more thoroughly investigate and respond to reports of off-service misconduct. We’ve also increased the size of our internal law enforcement response team which is extensively trained to manage sensitive, confidential investigations and partner with law enforcement >Additionally, we’ve created a dedicated email address where anyone can report egregious, off-service misconduct in the categories above committed by a member of the Twitch community. That email address is OSIT@twitch.tv. https://archive.ph/1fkDN

If you have a shitty connection you might not even be able to watch the video if there's no low res version. And they also have seperate video streams for different codecs: h264, VP9 and AV1 but only popular normel resolution videos get VP9 or AV1 versions for some reason. (Probably encoding performance) For resolutions higher than 1080p on the other hand Youtube doesn't offer codec fallback to H264 and encodes them to VP9 and possibly AV1. >>15478 It does. >>15473 >It has been disclosed for years that Jewtube has been operating in the red. Where? >Jewtube removes the "problematic" and redundant channels as a release valve to their storage problems. I doubt it. You know how much space they would get from just deleting all the old 1080p h264 video duplicates they have in VP9? >(So, over 1 TB in a month's time) That's not much in server rack terms.
>>15500 >twitch investigating shit Looks that way. If it happens to be someone involved with twitch at least. >>15502 I wonder if maybe there is a big change coming and they are privy to information concerning it so they are adjusting shit now before it is mandatory later on.

>>15466 Having found an article on it, turns out the american version of the book didn't include the 21st chapter until 1986, so mystery solved, i guess. Gonna go write a footnote at the end of my version of the book.
>>15508 >>15503 Actually, the reminds me, sometimes when I'm editing images, typically with JPG to PNG, I can take just a portion of the image, make it it's own file, give it a smaller resolution, and a smaller DPI, and the file size can explode as much as 10 times the original complete image. Is there a way to do that with video files, where any conversion into any other codec and/or reduction in resolution/bitrate results in the final video actually being larger than the original file?
>>15510 If you change the encoding from something like veryfast into slower in ffmpeg, it compresses it to require more resources during decoding while lowering filesize. Also OBS does that, possibly because of encoding chips on the gpu that process it better in realtime or something, and then you have something close to a raw file that an encoder has to compress. You can likely record something like white noise but with the full rgb spectrum changing on each pixel every frame, and upload that to give it real hell.

>>15510 >a smaller DPI DPI is metadata and only affects how large printers print it if it isn't completely ignored. >typically with JPG to PNG PNG is a lossless format.
