I'm the only loser here still staying on top of Fishtank, figured I should give a quick update. Today was the most intense the show has been and will ever be, but I'll give a quick summary of what's happened so far
>Premise is 8 rando's sign up to take part in a Big Brother-esque experiment
>Viewers can interact with the show (for a price) such as playing a TTS message to a room of their choice, activate traps, fuck with the heating, AC, etc.
>Sam Hyde is behind it all with his lackey Jet taking the reins
>First two days pass, 80% of the stream is the group awkwardly sitting around doing nothing (since the staff only provided them with about three card games, only bringing them food once every 10 hours or so)
>Most contestants will sleep well into the day, most days don't truly start until 11 AM or even 12 PM because everyone has a shitty sleep schedule
>Little to no public friction between the contestants, mainly just one guy gets on their nerves cause he has a heavy lisp and likes to hear himself talk - is ironically the only one providing content for the show either as the buttmonkey for the jokes the crew plays or because he is the one to actually stir up conversations
>As the show goes on, once a day (if we're lucky) contestants are given a "challenge" to guarantee their own "safety" in the show and not get "voted off", such as making a comedy sketch with a partner to entertain the staff with, winner gets the big bedroom for themselves
>One contestant who has been sleeping in most days and not interacting much, also shows a clear hidden hatred for two of the other contestants, turns out to be a plant by Sam & Co, gets removed from the show for a day under the guise of "losing the competition" but then he is put back because the audience asked for it and they weren't planning on anyone getting eliminated so early
>TTS is disabled 99% of the time, and for the 1% of the time it is enabled, the chats are heavily moderated. TTS got censored when they started calling one contestant fat, got disabled for days after that. When it came back it was clear the mods were only allowing two or three of the 8 contestants to be roasted, the others could only receive praise (keep in mind the tokens each single TTS message requires adds up to about $50 USD)
>Location of the house is discovered somehow, gets SWATted twice
>Site constantly goes down, they migrate to streaming on Jewtube but that soon gets taken down by Google
>None of the "Fishtoys" (their name for traps or "tricks" like sending a contestant a goodie bag or changing the air temperature or "swapping the food in the fridge with the food in the freezer" [yes that's fucking real]) even work on the site, and one such Fishtoy which is "taking away a contestant's bed for the night" doesn't get fulfilled (keep in mind the cost for this fishtoy was well over $100 USD)
>Two contestants, hated by pretty much everyone else in the house and some of the audience, team up and form a bromance. They suffer backstabbing tricks from the other contestants and a barrage of hate from TTS (when Jet allows it to be turned on)
>One of those two ends up having some questionable dirt dug up on him, he is a first-generation bilingual ESL immigrant from China and isn't quite 100% fluent in English yet
>What constitutes the dirt is a book he wrote and put on Amazon where he describes his experience as a camp counselor for kids, the book is geared as advice (do's and dont's) for other counselors
>One section is about consent and informing camp leaders/managers if a young'n gets a crush on you, basically talking about the right way to approach the situation so no laws get broken and nothing goes wrong
>Twitter and discordfags from Sam's army extrapolate out-of-context pics from the guy's social media and his aforementioned books, eventually word of this gets to Sam himself
>He asks Twitter if he should boot the guy off the show
>Earlier today there was some drama as Jon (the lisp guy) and Simmons (the chinese guy I was referring to earlier) are in a team and tasked with protecting a doll, his team gets their baby sabotaged while they were asleep and Jon tries sabotaging the other teams' babies but fails, causes drama and good content
>Jet intervenes and diffuses the situation (poorly), tensions ease temporarily
>Sam arrives later in the day, has all contestants gather around in the living room
>Exposes to everyone the book that Simmons wrote, taking quotes from it out of context in addition to those social media posts - basically all but calling him a pedophile
>Basically has Simmons GTFO, creates an incredibly awkward scene for everyone, when Simmons is booted out everyone is mostly speechless
>Jon, his only friend in the show, was speechless during the whole scene, afterwards he goes up into the bathroom and has a mental breakdown, cries
>They eventually coax Jon into the basement to calm him down, everyone is in their respective bedrooms mostly being silent
>Jet announces they're "taking a break" and the cameras would be shut off for the remainder of the day while the contestants get to use their phones and eat pizza and beer
>While this is going on Simmons gets on a chat with some of the aforementioned discord fags who bootlick Sam, Simmons adds the much-needed context to everything he was called out on as he didn't get a chance to elaborate before getting kicked out, thought it was a joke at first since it was all so sudden in his perspective and didn't thing he did anything wrong
>The discord fags verbally abuse him, basically don't give him a chance to speak before Simmons logs off
>Meanwhile back in the fishtank, the downstairs cameras are off but the upstairs cameras remain on
>One of the contestants goes upstairs and tells another that he's leaving, can't handle the pressure of the show, still "shook" from the ordeal
>Hints that another contestant has decided to leave but not before revealing to the cameras (the audience) that while downstairs Jet told them there were actually TWO plants out of the 8 contestants, most likely a guy named Vance in addition to Damiel (yes that's a real name)
>Later towards the night, only one camera remains, Jon is back upstairs after the talk with Jet, he sounds like he smoked weed down there for the first time with Jet and Sam in addition to consuming alcohol, all first experiences for this hardcore Andrew Tate fan
>Muffled screams, groans, and puking can be heard
>Jon likely rushed out of the house to the hospital
<You are here
So basically it was a total shitshow and even though its only been up for about 8 days, seems like the Fishtank will die before it gets to all 4 projected seasons. Thoughts?
