You have my email Acid, if you would prefer to contact me directly. I've been candid whenever I have an issue and about what I'm doing (and why I'm doing it too). Around the time this board was created, I expressed the sentiment and viewpoint you outlined in the OP over IRC. I have no intention of harming the wider site, and I share your opinion about "shitting where you eat".
I can't control the anons who post here or on the rest of the site, but I've been doing my best to enforce the rules you've laid out. You may have noticed that I've restored a few posts that didn't seem to break the rules. I don't run this site, nor any nearly as large, but I am trying to keep freedom of speech going in my own little corner as best I can. I am not deliberately trying to push the boundaries of what can be done, nor am I trying maliciously to "toe them closely". I will always enforce the rules as I understand them, and to my knowledge restoring posts that don't seem to break the site rules (at the very least, as I understand them) is not in violation of anything. As always, I welcome clarification or correction if I have misunderstood or acted in error.
I understand the delicacy of your position, and I want to cooperate. I see no reason that solving this issue needs to lead to hostility, and I would like nothing more than to increase the reputation of my community in a positive way. I am also concerned by what you've outlined, though since I tend to stick to my own little corner here, I can't say I was aware of the sitewide issue until now.
You said you hope the boards can fix this issue themselves, I would very much appreciate specifics on what you expect me to do or hope for me to accomplish. I'm at a loss as to how to tackle what you've put up here, or what power I would have to execute on it beyond my own board even if I did. Again, you have my email (even if only to send me a link to some other chat), and I would be happy to discuss the issue here as well if you would prefer a public forum.
