also depending on the men/women ratio in your region, tinder might just be absolutely cursed without gold/platinum/whatever subscription, no matter how good you look. the daily limit of likes you can send is just a big drawback and also in general the women's stack is overfilled, most of them just enter, swipe a little bit, get a couple of matches and don't swipe at all anymore until they get bored with the current matches. i've mentioned this in the previous thread but when using tinder platinum it was so obvious how tinder is paywalling you to actually be seen by women you right swipe. without it, maybe only 10% of women you right swipe will actually see you, with it your likes get pushed in the stack so all of them will see you and if your profile is decent you'll match with about half of them, it's crazy. i got about 250-300 matches in 3 weeks, almost all of them i swiped right on first.
this can be somewhat circumvented if you increase your distance range, stay active on the app (it keeps you further up in the stack) but in general tinder is very shit for most male users. bumble and hinge are better since there's more women but for catfishing not as good
