I wonder how murder-happy will be in the new Fire Emblem game, since it’s apparently a prequel. Given by how they’ve gone the utterly inexplicable direction of vindicating the slander that Sothis was, in fact, kind of unhinged even if the lore is raped my dick personally will be very happy if we end up with some kind of tyrannical alien dragon mesugaki.
>>158644 Is it true that OoC powers are the only realistic way of beating Hao?
>>158644 Thank. I VAGUELY remember there was some drama about Shaman King, related to how dying works there I think? What was that about?
>>158646 You max out on the powerlevel perk.
>>158647 I think it was something about how, in-setting, dying raises your power level because it lets you understand death better. I believe the arguments were about how this interacts with 1-up perks. I understand that it'd be a nightmare to balance, but it's kind of disappointing that something like, say, spending a jump in the death department of a celestial bureaucracy doesn't count as being knowledgeable of death.
>>158646 By yourself? Yeah definitely. His power level is too high, his spirit too powerful and his skill is unparalleled. In setting you could maybe manage if you could work together with the Gandhara and X-Laws and coordinate properly Jeane and Sati both have about half as much furyoku as Hao each, and the groups have a number of strong ghosts. Hell Sati and Jeanne both know how to revive people so you could probably even power level some other characters like Yoh and his friends through repeated killings and revivals. Would be really hard to convince everyone though.
>>158647 Getting stronger was too strong for jumpchain so it had to be nerfed.
>>158638 What settings have us collecting humans to enslave and use in battle?
>>158059 My current chain starts in the foot fetish jump.

>>158648 Ah, the Saitama approach.

>>158650 >His power level is too high, his spirit too powerful and his skill is unparalleled You have accidentally reminded me of this meme.
>>158648 You'd also need to absolutely master a shamanic school like with the Patch capstone and take a powerful God class spirit just to stand a chance.
>Go to Danny Phantom >Become a Half-Ghost >Go to Shaman King >Become stronger every time you die and come back >Begin rapidly switching between ghost and human form >Get a Reiyoku level of 12 billion
>>158649 That was almost certainly it. I also very distinctly remember someone trying to get around it with...I think it was the Thanatonaut perk in Destiny: The Light, where you can voluntarily enter a death-state (that doesn't count as true death for Jumpchain purposes) to explore other realms. I think someone made a really convincing argument about why this should work, and the jumpmaker just said "nope".
>>158658 Danny Phantom ghosts canonically aren't the souls of dead people by WoG. Wouldn't do anything.
>>158658 I don't think it would count as dying for the great spirit Though spending time in ghost form would probably increase your soul awareness and steadily raise your furyoku like sensory deprivation does.
>>158604 If I was familiar with these systems, I'd shoot some outlines at you, but I am not. Broadly tho, fanwank it is.

>>158660 Season 3 never happened and all the events of season 1 and 2 claim that at least some ghosts were human. Butch is an idiot that only contributed the art style and starting idea. The people that made the show good was a writing team and he had little to no input. The one season he got to write crashed the series and got it canceled.
>thinking about going to see Predator: Badlands this weekend >on the one hand, it looks exactly like the kind of turn-off brain, spectacle and escalation for spectacle and escalation’s sake slop that Jurassic World was to the preceding Park movies-making even 3 look grounded and replete with gory practical effects by comparison >on the one hand, it looks exactly like the kind of turn-off brain, spectacle and escalation for spectacle and escalation’s sake slop that Jurassic World was to the preceding Park movies-and I’m tempted to see just how fucking stupid it can get now the franchise is embracing Predators as PoV characters and abandoned horror for Cabella’s Dangerous Hunts/Far Cry IN SPACE! >and on the third hand, it’s near impossible to clean anything from early reviews these days because of shills and retarded fanboys sperging about how hard they clapped in every avenue We’ve gotten to the point where my willingness to pay the price of a ticket versus my patience to wait for a decent camrip is entirely contingent on being in a sweet spot of tiredness where I can haul myself to the cinema and then enter torpor for 1-2 hours. And then there’s the nagging curiosity about what those thieving Predators want to accomplish by harvesting my precious autism. >>158664 Is Butch still trying to push that new media platform I vaguely remember him founding when he went solo?
>>158663 Try moe
>>158665 >Is Butch still trying to push that new media platform I vaguely remember him founding when he went solo? I haven't looked n the past year, but he was last year.
>>158430 Fairly well but only as a sidegrade. Pretty much anything in 40k can be killed with enough bullets or artillery. Terran Marines are pretty much just Imperial Stormtroopers but bulkier. Their navies suck but they have better FTL. If terran medical tech is as good as it is in the games then you could feasibly have squads of Marines capable of going toe to toe with some of the more impressive threats on the ground.
>>158666 Yeah that's what I used. I couldn't post before, seems I can now.
>>158668 It’s hard to say how well the Templar stuff would interact with psyker stuff without either Blizzard or James Workshop issuing detailed power interactions. I have a nagging feeling Void stuff would be useful to dampen daemonic or other psychic phenomena for a similar reason to why Blanks are but less, well, inherently traumatic. But I have no real basis for that other than “dude, trust the vibes”
>>158656 Soul Eater update never-ever.
Personally I had my jumper just use his spiritual affinity from Avatar to astral project his soul into the great spirit which is as close to death as it gets, to consistently raise his furyoku(though it never fully matched Hao who spend 1000 years dead)
>>158668 Pretty sure they specifically go out of their way to shit on medics in the writing by making them glorified walking band-aids.
>>158645 In what way is Sothis unhinged?
Test
>>158674 The part where she hijacks Byleth to murder the Hopes protagonist despite both of them trying to talk things out, then disappears in a huff for the rest of the game? Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining, I’m really glad Sothis will be more onboard with conquering the land by force than I was initially led to believe.
>>158594 The best use of Originium is to assimilate your friends and loop them through slightly changed versions of the same events with vague but fragmentary awareness of their state as a joke. >>158652 Himenospia is all about that, though it only works on women.
>>158677 I honestly think that's fine, given Epimenides is a psycho who does need to go down, given he intends to retake the continent for the Argathans...you know, the mole-man nazis who want to, in an ideal world, exterminate the human race for being sub-human animals. He himself might not hate the other humans, but the race of humans he leads is kinda, uh....willfully ill-disposed to the long-term existence of any other group of humans.
