Holy shit you're an insufferable fuck. I'm not complaining about the framing device, I'm complaining about the very dumb way of using it to confirm to the audience that yes not only will the main character survive, but he will achieve his main goal at the end before the story even starts. Oh my God, you're such a an intelligent motherfucker, such a titan of the mind and literacy, a true God among us mortal ants! Is that the stupid shit you wanted to hear in response to this? That you're so fucking smart you can't tell the difference between "call me ishmael" and "this is how I became the number one hero!". None of your examples are nearly the same, you just wanted to go on the most insufferable pseud rant about how you know so much just to suck your own dick while ignoring the very obvious difference here. None of your examples I'm familiar do anything even remotely similar, and since I don't give enough of a fuck about a conversation that happened a few hours ago, I'm just going to assume the rest have the exact same false equivalency running through your comparison.
This isn't a highschool English class, I do not need your explanation of a framing device, I am not complaining about framing devices, I'm complaining about the poor use of one you dumb autistic fuck. Like I said earlier, none of your examples are comparable because they 1. Do not give up the entire driving force of the plot and main characters motivation in the first chapter. The sheer fucking gall of pretending that the Green Mile of all books does this while claiming the people who critique anime are retarded is astounding.
>But what about muh epistolary novels, prequels, and historical accounts
That's not the same fucking thing as a Shonen manga about superheroes you absolutely autistic slugfucking ape. For one, epistolary novels are completely fucking irrelevant to this comparison, they are told in the form of letters and manuscripts, and I doubt many of them start with "oh yes my good sir, did you hear *summary of the entire main motivation of reading this shit and how it inevitably happens*.
>Inb4 well yes actually
And is there no mystery on the same level waiting to be explored in those examples? In MHA it's a dead fucking end, nothing else is as interesting as how Deku goes from Quirkless loser to #1 hero except to the horny people in it for the tits. The main drive of the entire story is how does he do it, and does he eventually succeed despite his limitations. If there is a guarantee that he does regardless of whatever the fuck happens next the story has lost its main point of interest, which is exactly why only the dumbest NPC brained retards follower it for years. Which is ironic as fuck because you're lambasting those types of people while defending the kind of storytelling that caters to them the mo st. You are the NPC in this case for one, attacking another person just because you think their criticism of an execution of a literary device and the poor medium it's used in is a hatred of the entire concept of that literary device, and secondly for rushing to shit out a list of better men than you to defend a point instead of just explaining yourself like a human being and not a literary lawyer that needs to justify his every opinion with a book someone else wrote. Holy shit my nigga, it's a Shonen manga on Shonen jump stakes is the only thing it absolutely needs to maintain when the rest of it is titties and punchmilk. You cannot seriously be on so many levels of elitist retardation to misunderstand the idea of why it is important to have something at stake in a story about conflicts and their outcomes right? You cannot have sucked your own dick and huffed your own farts for so long that you actually believe anyone who is picking up a story wouldn't like to follow along with it and not be told of the entire main crux and it's ending right at the beginning right? Why are you so desperate to be above the slop shoveling masses, you are one of them defending one of the most pathetic pieces of slop imaginable, all the while failing to understand that all stories are about conflict, and without risk there is no such thing as a conflict. As an audience if there is no expectation of a difference in outcome than what we expect there is nothing to be entertained by. Unless you want to argue that the value of MH-fucking-A is the lessons it teaches, in which case you're too stupid to be discussing this with a lobotomized chimpanzee let alone me.
>But you had to be a sub 80 iq piece of shit
Nigga get off the ego dildo you're riding, it's called an exaggeration, what is clearly meant by those statements is that every author knows not to ruin the main drive of their story by presenting it in a bland, easily understood way at the very beginning with no payoff, nuance that is later built upon, or investment. This applies to every fucking story you just listed, none of them do that shit. Moby Dick doesn't start with "Call me Ishmael, I sure am glad I just got off that ship with the crazy captain ahab and how he got dragged to sea by a whale, here's the story lemme tell ya!" You cockslobbering fool.
Finally I just want to add that "Muh the journey is just as important as the destination " is something said by every pseudo-intellectual monkey with a stick up their ass and who loves swallowing shit. It is not motherfucker, if the journey is as important as the destination, the destination would simply be a journey by itself, no need for another place to be reached. Any person who says this has never left their fucking house for more than a minute, and has never committed to a thankless, worthless task that was still kinda fun. The journey is most definitely important, but it is always of lesser importance than the destination, and if it isn't, the destination must still be of some worth, at least enough to be highlighted by the journey in retrospect. In this case, you know the destination before you leave, like how most journeys start, but you also know exactly what you're going to find there which you set out for in the first place, it's basically in your goddamn hands already, and you haven't even taken a hundred steps. No matter what amazing experiences you have on a journey, if it leads you to a pit burning forever in hell the entire experience of the journey becomes worthless, this is the same for a story. Whereas in real life even if you do die on a journey perhaps something more important than your life could have been accomplished, a destination more important than the physical, for stories their destination is more important than even their beginnings. If a story has a bad ending it means the writer in question was either rushed, or never planned any of it meanif the entire journey was just a collection of illusions to make you believe it had some worth. If a story has a reading experience of being amazing, then descends into a worthless pile of shit all it means is that you were happily eating promises, and were too stupid to spit when the results of those promises turned out to be shit covered in gratitude.
You are not cultured my guy, you are not smarter than the average doofus, and you sure as fuck are not less retarded than the people you deride, you're just an autist who happens to be incapable of focusing on what's being said instead of going on retarded tangents about shit no one cares about. Now that all is said and done, did you get the stick out of your ass? Did you manage to prove to yourself that you're dumb enough to completely misunderstand a point being made because you're too anally focused on simple shit I was assuming even an ape wouldn't need explained to them? Have you managed to figure out how to make an argument you believe in stand on your own merits instead of ignoring 99% of what the other person said to go on a rant about random shit, then list the works of men and women who eclipse you in every regard? Did you avenge your righteous 14 year old titty hero comic? If you did, I'd like to kindly ask you to fuck off and find yourself on a journey into becoming less of an ironic reflection of the type of utter stupidity you supposedly hate. I hope the destination is your eventual success in escaping the gaping pit that is your lack of intellect coupled with your unearned pride.
