ANCAPISTAN BECOMING A REALITY 02/06/2021 (Sat) 00:53:13 Id: edf08c No. 4323
>Planned legislation to establish new business areas in Nevada would allow technology companies to effectively form separate local governments. >Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak announced a plan to launch so-called Innovation Zones in Nevada to jumpstart the state’s economy by attracting technology firms, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Wednesday. >The zones would permit companies with large areas of land to form governments carrying the same authority as counties, including the ability to impose taxes, form school districts and courts and provide government services. >The measure to further economic development with the “alternative form of local government” has not yet been introduced in the Legislature. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/nevada/articles/2021-02-04/nevada-bill-would-allow-tech-companies-to-create-governments
>>4323 The problem I see in my eyes with this, is whether they'll follow the progressive agenda/critical theory. Because if they do then it may actually be insane. Other anons probably will see other problems than me or even more. So we went from Aristocracy ->Monarchy -> Democracy -> Corpocracy(?). Other than my problem, I dig where it is going.
This would be good if these places weren't destined to become Chinese micro-colonies. There aren't enough patriots/libertarians/ancaps in the technology sector unfortunately.
>>4327 There simply aren't enough people in that general part of the political spectrum to really form a cohesive entity, and the ones that are present are sorta strongarmed by the progressive types that have more or less taken over the industry. Would be lovely to see a completely separate infrastructure without progressive influence, but a guy can dream, I guess.
Corporate cities or worker camps aren't a new thing, and have been done in the past, but probably the most ambitious one was the one designed by Walt Disney himself, here is a documentary on his dream city, and while it might sound nice at first it would be a nightmare from a libertarian perspective. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=tKYEXjMlKKQ
>>4354 Most corporate cities would be a nightmare for libertarians. The point is that you can have hundreds of them and maybe one of them suits you, or maybe private citizens can form their own. Of course, it's only a matter of time before the busybodies show up and demand more regulations. HoAs have shown that tyranny can absolutely come from the bottom up.
>>4354 >>4359 Reminder too that Orania started out as a corporate labor camp basically https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVEcvdclrqo
Does anyone get the feeling that if the elites decreed that everyone must have their thumbs amputated, Americans would agree that the law makes sense and must be obeyed?
