Have you guys read this book? What are your thoughts on it? If you haven't you should, I can't think of any media that comes close to being as ancap as this.
Do you have a PDF torfriend? I was supposed to read it some time ago but I never got around to it.
>>5097 No I don't, my local library had a copy, it was surprisingly worn too from being read. The pdf and mp3 are pretty easy to find in any search engine, its not really rare. e.g. https://avalonlibrary.net/?search=mistress https://archive.org/details/TheMoonIsAHarshMistress_201701 etc
>>5098 Thanks for this
>>5096 I really liked the premise. Tried to get through it a few times, but I HATE how Heinlein wrote his characters. They all (throughout ALL of his novels) had the same, dry, sardonic, unaffected tone to them. It killed his books for me.

>>5104 I think it can be adapted into something though. It has a decent cast. If you haven't read the book or listened to it, dont look at the picture. I like my interpretation of the characters but it could be wrong and I dont want to spoil your ideas. Also its a sloppy ugly sketch.
It's probably my favorite sci fi book. First Heinlein I ever read and it's the reason that I later read almost everything he's written. It has some great savvy political takes. The loonies were more free when they were ruled by an absolute monarch prison warden then they were under self-governance. All the leaders of the revolution were freedom loving, but the end result was less freedom than before. The loonies really didn't know how good they had it under the warden. This is a deliberate parallel and comment on the American revolution. The only thing I think was a slight mistake in the book is how Manny comments a few times how it was a mistake for the warden to centralize everything around Mike, while the revolutionaries also put themselves at the mercy of Mike. I thought it would come back to bite them at some point but it never did. All in all great book, must read for any sci fi fan. Definitely recommend it to your friends if you want to liberty pill them.
Tyranny leads to anarchy. The world will soon go full Mad Max. Obeying the law is easy when only murder and theft are illegal, but no can obey the law if everything is illegal. What can you do when fireworks are illegal, but firecrackers are mandatory? Who will enforce the law when the government cannot pay the Gestapo? Who will enforce the law when the Gestapo are abolished? Why would cops defend the state when the Gestapo must wear masks and get dangerous vaccines?
