Post 'em if you got 'em
>>1547 My references are secret. No one will ever get to see them. They're too powerful for the average chan-user. The knowledge and inspiration will break your mind. I just want the best for you.

I couldn't think of more style influences, cause I don't think I have them. So I threw in some other things I feel influenced by.

>>1611 >hellsing >kaiji It really does show in your style; did you draw stills from those a lot when you were younger? I wish I hadn't started drawing with any sincerity only by the time I was already a boomer.

>>1617 Not really, I only picked up Kaiji 5-6 years ago and didn't start trying to apply it until more recent. It took me a long time to work into a style I was satisfied with because embracing my interests was tough. You just reminded me I should have added Kira Imai to this chart. She actually was a huge influence when I was younger (and still kinda is)

I haven't really developed a style yet, so these are mostly the things that I really enjoy. I think their influence shows up in what I do, although now that I look at it, it does seem to include a lot of somewhat unrelated stuff.

>>1620 >daniels explain
>>1621 A few reasons, really. Daniels reminds me that taking things too seriously (the internet in particular) is usually a bad idea. Sometimes it's best just to settle down and relax. I also like the type of humor in his videos. He doesn't just call people names or teamkill them over and over, he usually comes up with more elaborate plots to mess with people. It's like he's improvising a script for a play, and everyone else is an unwilling actor. Also, I had one square left and wasn't really sure what to put in it.
God is my influence, and he has influenced me to be incapable of any artistic expression whatsoever.

This is mine for drawing and painting styles. I would need far more room to squeeze in all subject matter that inspires and influences me.
>>2249 I like that Barbucci Italian guy in the bottom left quite a bit, that style has a lot of appeal to me. Good taste overall. I think I recognize most of that material besides the bowman-and a decent portion of it is on my own influence map. >Empowered I'm glad/surprised he's kept up with it over the years even if I've never been an avid (or even casual, really) reader. There are some pretty good panels in that one, not just the cheesecake stuff either.
>>2250 >Good taste overall. I think I recognize most of that material besides the bowman Thanks. Bowman is Rosinski's Thorgal. He illustrated Thorgal for years, moving between classic European comic art style, more modern one, and various painting techniques. His pencils and inks are on the gritty side, and in my opinion a sweet spot between old and new European style. His paintings have a strange, fairy tale quality to them and good chunk of Thorgal comics is fully painted. >Empowered Warren is great at drawing action, probably best artist in the U.S. when it comes to it. His work on texture and shading is very good too. He drew Empowerd just in pencil and on printer paper, the same medium I enjoy the most. Warren might be retiring from drawing soon, as his right hand is busted and Empower is almost finished.
