So I just finished initial d first stage and people kept on saying the 86 trains the driver. What do they mean and are there any other cars like that?
Basically, any low power/high dynamics car because not keeping up speed means not having enough power to gain it back, and have forgiving enough controls that you can feel around the edge for why you fucked up and how to not do it again Other cars? Any miata, EG/EK civics, etc. If you can think "This car was fun to throw around bends but not very fast", that's pretty much a car to learn on.
And after you get good with a Miata or E Civic, check the Nissan D22 XE. Seriously. The only vehicle I've driven with better steering is a turbo Volvo. It only has a little more peak power than the previously mentioned cars, but because of the undersquare block and 16valve head it reaches that peak very fucking fast. Just upgrade the pistons first if you're going to be going all the way through 1st in under a second regularly. Ask me how I know.
>>10930 because whiteblocks are trash redblock>whiteblock
>>10920 >>10920 It bothers me a little that I can't enjoy cars good at bends with nothing but straight roads here.
>>10938 Whiteblocks are great if you like having coolant eat through the block, stuck valves, and cambelt changes every 3 months. Still better than the PRV blocks.
>>11130 B-but >MUH T-5R!
>>11130 >Still better than the PRV blocks that's not a high bar, although the V8 version that was supposed to be made would've been god-tier

>>10930 >Google D22 XE because I've never heard of it >Get this wat

>>11138 Supposedly the whiteblocks are excellent if you live in a country with decent infrastructure and can drive it at very high RPMs all the time. It'd be hard to use one as intended in America right now. >>11142 Some people really like the B280 version of the PRV. I still wouldn't want to have to maintain one. >>11146 See picture. That's the best version. Both the I4 and V6 are great, but the V6 has a pretty horribly involved cambelt replacement procedure. Fortunately only every 100k miles.
>>10930 How do you know?
Yes, the GT86
>>12917 Well, you know how a lot of people say you can't weight reduce a car enough to hurt the engine? Stops being true if you disable all nonessential accessories and remove everything you don't immediately need for driving. Cast iron pistons on a 96mm stroke eventually give out if you push them as hard as a 300+hp engine. Sucks, but I guess I learned my lesson. And got a lot more life out of it than my dumb ass deserved still.
