Limitations on vehicle manufacturing Driver 02/26/2018 (Mon) 08:01:58 Id: 87b8bf No. 15289
So, what do goverments/manufacturers/drivers gain from CURRRENT YEAR state of vehicle manufacturing laws regarding muh emissions and mih safety. Post your arguments. <Goverments from emissions and safety >Less dead taxpayers from natural selection >Cities that do not smell of exaust fumes <Manufacturers >Good advertising about safety, attracts moms <Drivers >Engine baby-sips gasoline >Less killed bones during a crash
There was a news article on the impact of Euro 4 Emissions on Thailand's Motorcycle Market that I can't for the life of me find any more. It said how mechanics would need to be retrained to monitor and repair emission systems. It said how Euro 1 or Euro 2 motorcycles could be repaired merely with a screwdriver, whereas Euro 3 or Euro 4 are electrically complex. It also said that the cost of an average motorcycle would go up between 8 and 20 percent. If you could help me find it I'd be extremely grateful. I've learned my lesson from this. Always archive IMMEDIATELY.
Ok. I now believe I have enough information to put a report together. >what do drivers gain from CURRRENT YEAR state of vehicle manufacturing laws Loss of personal transportation and complete loss of personal freedom. >Transport policy and transport tax reform, Potter, Stephen & Parkhurst Road capacity will never grow enough to meet demand, so we should therefore crush demand to make the poor ration their own mobility. "Politically sensitive, but necessary." >How is this done? >a). Make the vehicles themselves cost more, make them track your driving habits and then report the information to your insurance company. >https://archive.is/Kj1LO Cost of Euro 4 Motorcycles will be "About Nine to 20 Per Cent Higher" >https://archive.is/lxlDk Euro 4 Motorcycles Required to Have OBD-II Systems - MCN says: "complicated systems are an improvement - everything's fine folks". >Read the opening paragraph of: Excise duties system in Croatia closer to the European System, D. KULIŠ GPS Tracking Required for Trucks, Removal or Tampering of which is to Be Illegal and Invalidates Your Insurance >See again: Transport policy and transport tax reform, Potter, Stephen & Parkhurst "Accurate Road Use Tax" Desired, GPS Ought to be Mandatory for All Road Users >https://archive.is/FXmZd "Low Emission Zones" or "Congestion Zones" Expanded to 14 Countries >also: >Carbon taxes introduced >Smart motorways introduced >Reduced Speeding initiatives introduced So what will happen when everyone's driving an electric car? All of the heavy rules and regulations will be transferred to electric cars. All this is before you mention that efficiency affects performance, or that friction in the exhaust systems causes higher engine temperatures, or that ethanol additives in the fuel mixture causes stratification and lubrication losses in addition to damaged seals and gaskets… What's worse is that it does not have to be this way. From what I've heard in some other thread, vehicle insurance is not mandatory in New Zealand. Motorcycles under 150cc didn't even need to be registered in Sweden or Japan until the 80's. Germany still doesn't have a national speed limit. You must leave the EU and never return, or if you're in America, do whatever is the opposite of what the EU does.
>>15289 I have nothing to say about the thread, because I just woke up and I'm still groggy, but that picture is funny as shit
What is a variant of that pic that says; >this car keeps itself moving by sheer force of anger alone And what car looks angry enough to do that?

>>15307 Probably a TVR.
>>15308 Make it happen anon
(368.50 KB 720x565 TVR Angry.png)

>>15310 the whole bottom line is cut off a bit
>>15292 What excuse could they give for making GPS tracking and OBD mandatory for all vehicles anyway? Also, I never considered this before but it could be that introducing carbon taxes is a way to push people towards buying electric cars. Reminder to invest in Tesla.
>>15457 >GPS No excuses, it's spying >OBS Well the mechanics sure like to have their sets of 17 different connectors for every relevant manufacturer. Not to mention connectors becoming obsolete, such as every OBD 1 connector in current year. Good luck finding anyone touching them. I could not.

>>15505 I don't think there is any car angrier than the worst car on earth, on which many resources have been wasted in an attempt to make it a "sports car", and then is used for autocross I tried to find a clip of GT where the Juke gets the Nissan Juke award but I failed
