There really is nothing better than murder cars. They just want to drive away from it. Get lost and found again. Maybe get a bit scared on some back roads with no driveways or crossroads. It's impossible to discuss good racing games on that board period, they view you as a weird outsider stuck between them and chad normalfaggots that play FIFA and COD. /ogc/ got decimated over the power struggle between /v/ and /vg/ and is now non-existent on the former and only gets a few posts a week on the latter, when we used to regularly fill threads to completion after 2 - 3 weeks. I still remember the time when someone was serious about making an infographic showcasing the very best of the best in all genres of video games, and they only had one game on racing; Mario Kart for the SNES. So I recommended Gran Turismo on the PS1. Sound good, right? Possibly no-one would argue with that, would they? Nope. Never mind the fact it was the highest selling game on the PS1. Never mind the fact it popularized several big name Japanese sports cars in the West which had previously been anomalies and changed the face of car culture forever. Never mind the fact it holds multiple world records. Every single other anon in that thread pounced on me for that suggestion, no word of a lie. So fuck 'em.

So a design company are now offering a rebodied GTC4Lusso designed to look like the Ferrari 412. No word of a lie, I kinda like it. IMHO it's further proof that one-off Ferrari design experiments are consistently better than what they put out in dealerships, like Clapton's SP12 (modeled after the 512BB) or (((James Glickenhaus'))) P4/5. Slap on some prancing stallions, pay however much is necessary to make those pop-up cutouts on the nose functional and remove any unnecessary electronics i.e. anything that isn't the starter motor, and I really think you'd have the best all-round Ferrari in over 20 years. Plus via VPN the consensus on Jalopshit seems to be negative, so that's a good sign.
>>17058 Would bang.
These things are fucking eye cancer and you can't not agree with me.
>>17079 I still blame Bangle even if he's been gone for almost a decade. He fucked BMW in a way that no other manufacturer has done to their lineup before or since. They went from having the best looking cars to the worst looking in a very short period of time (2001 - 2004) and it's 99% Bangle's fault. His sole saving grace was the E46, nothing else he did during his tenure at BMW was any good. Should have been Joji Nagashima that took the role of lead designer instead, he masterminded the two GOATs of the brand: the E36 and the E39.
>>17079 The 3 series might be passable, but the X… oh how far we are from God.
And now this has dropped from McLaren, as their successor for the F1. It strongly reminds me of that Corvette Indy concept from the 80s (second pic related). Hope the aero rim covers make it to production, since they were literally the only things on Porsche's 918 Spyder that didn't make it past the concept stage.
>>17083 I absolutely love the Speedtail's looks. However, they should've put covers on the rear wheels too, at least for the sake of symmetry. Hopefully other brands will also start replacing their "edgy faggot" designs with something more elegant.

A lil truck aesthetic contest just for kicks: Cabover (flat) or conventional (long nose)?
>>17490 Aestheticwise, long nose From a practical standpoint, cabover.
Oh hey, remember that Stratos concept from 2010 that everyone hoped Lancia would make and never did, based on an earlier Stratos concept from 2005 that everyone hoped Lancia would make and never did? Looks like we'll be getting 25 production examples after all, nearly a decade since the concept's debut. 2 have already been built. Shame about the headlights though.
Anyone ever noticed how decent styling Dacia Duster actually has? It does not look overdesigned like everything else these days, lights on it are practical and manage to look good, and they apparently let a 12year old with scissors in their blueprint room and now they have a pickup coming out this year. I refuse to call that a pickup truck, that's a pickup car
>>17738 sauce on that? I really doubt it's FCA building these so I'm wondering how they got to do that. I agree with you about the headlights, that's pretty sad, even if now it looks like a micro Ferrari. >>17740 The first one looked less bulky and seemed less cheap imo. As for the pick-up car (nice name), I hate the height of the car belt. And it keeps going higher throughout the car until the rear end, which makes the whole design look absurd.
>>17741 >sauce http://archive.is/VYVIu http://archive.is/W1AJb http://archive.is/Z9zLg It's not Fiat themselves (since they haven't done anything fun on their own accord since the Coupé), but it's a private company that have already delivered a little of their proposed goods. No real difference between it and the last few years of X1/9s (which were badged and sold as Bertones since Fiat were no longer interested in selling them). And the Ferrari resemblance is intentional; they're based on the running gear of the F430. The original Stratos did have a Ferrari engine, so it's not entirely unprecedented. Maybe one customer will be daring enough to retrofit pop-ups.

Lowest i can get here is 95. Will still try to restore the frame/wheels/brakes in the meantime. Will probably but some chink 2-stroke bike kit and jam it on there. The other bike i will be trying to restore is a Minsk 125 from late 80s, it at least is supposed to run on 92 gasoline. It will accept 95 just fine.
