Are your anuses ready? Anonymous 07/30/2015 (Thu) 13:26:16 Id: ba50f3 No. 5585
>1500 BHP, a whole third more powerful than a base Veyron >Projected 288 MPH (464 KMH) top speed >0 - 60 in 2.0 seconds
>>5585 >shit plastic >more whiny fanfucks >Maclaren ripoff design >costing over 3 mil Nah.
Sure, if I ever have unlimited money. But in that case I would probably tear it apart and put a third-gen Deville body on it.
>>5587 or just supp up a Cadillac motor, and save ~2.9 mill
>>5585 When are supercars going to reach the same level as supersport motorcycles?
>>5591 Well the one thing I can immediately think of is that you'd handle the speed a hell of a lot better enclosed in a cabin where you can't feel the air than a completely open frame where the force acting against you has the ability to practically push you off your vehicle like a continuous brick wall. It's the reason why the Dodge Tomahawk didn't really work, sure it could get up to Dragster like speed, but how in the hell would the rider cope and how long would he be able to keep up that speed?
>Car will never be entered in any professional race >Top speed only useful on VW test track >All the normies would want one
>>5596 Football pads + ratchet straps?
>>5597 >I WANNAH LAMBORGEENEE >I WANNAH FURARREE >I WANNAH BOOGATEE >ANON WHAT DO YOU WANT >I already have what I want, a Fiero. >LOL UR CAR IS DUMB IT HAS LESS THAN 10 CILENDERS NOT EVEN 1000 HORS POWAH LOL The struggle is real
>>5599 >>5599 >tfw everyone around me has a shitty econobox >Anon why do you keep that old volvo, it isn't safe >anon, your car doesn't have back seats, its not practical >anon, why not just buy a SUV, my escape is 'so' nice >anon, I hear you broke down out by suchandsuch, you ever going to replace that old volvo of yours?
>>5587 that would be throwing away about half of the engineering work that went into the damn thing.
(753.84 KB 1567x873 Ariel-Atom-700-1.jpg)

>>5591 >>5591 why get a bike when you can get a go-kart from hell?
(25.26 KB 287x369 watts1.jpg)

>>5599 >>5600 >LOL my (insert any new car here) is faster than yours anon! >Ha ha, 60 horsepower, what is take to get to 60? 20 seconds? 10 years later >H-how is your car worth more than mine? >It's 50 years old and it costs LESS to run? >mfw fucking normalfags won't learn that tanks last forever. Checked
>>5607 Volvo?
>>5607 >not boosting or swapping your Volvo so you can have a lightning fast tank
>>5630 >not just buying a group A flathood for dat 320 stock HP
>also a whole third uglier then the veyron >they still insist on sticking that retarded bugatti classic grille on there >it'll still end up being owned by rich sandniggers and being hooned around the streets of London and Dubai >it'll still never be a relevant track car due to its fierce price As before, this is a travesty of design. It's like Hennessy and Zagato teamed up to just make the world's ugliest Bugatti Veyron.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ0xBCwkg3E >>5642 Imagine if companies started designing good looking cars, then try to squeeze the most amount of performance out of them. We'd be running in the 90's again.
(34.32 KB 641x361 1430092954099.png)

>>5619 Mercedes >>5630 >>5635 https://archive.is/TmI7V >>5643 Imagine more pop-up headlights.
>>5647 No matter what shape mass moving at 40mph will hurt the human body.
>>5654 the gubmint is not far from mandating hood mounted pedestrian airbags that block the driver's view. The range rover already has them.
>>5657 We'll, I'm so fucking happy I can now disregard all fucking safety measures when doing anything concerning cars. It's no fucking wonder we have to put the "do not do this at home" on the TV. The dumb fucks might be stupid enough to do it.
>>5658 They dont let natural selection play out. But then again I dont want someone next to my house accidentally make a bomb and blow their shit up
>>5662 Fuck that, then. I'll carry natural selection out myself. Anyone I hit, I'll beat him with a bat.
>>5647 Pop-ups belong on all cars. It's like having two cars in one which is why it'll never happen.
wtf thats a rebranded renault prototype
>>5606 I want one. With a roof.
>>5600 >>5630 >anon, why don't you have a T5-R engine that has a redline of 18k RPM >anon, why don't you own a Justy 4WD Turbo
(69.72 KB 448x336 redblock.jpg)

>>5630 Part of the fun in driving a Volvo is driving it slow. Until the turbo kicks in and you pass everyone who went around you. Yeah, sometimes I'd prefer a run-it-til-it-dies 4valve/cylinder stroker block, but putting a motor like that in a Volvo defeats the purpose. Also, while slow, the torque of the B230 provides crazy mobility immediately from takeoff.
>>5755 I see the Alpine too
>>5585 And all of that for a price no car enthusiast will be able to pay.
>>12770 all those talented people at bugatti could make an amazing daily enthusiast car that can be bought by the average consumer, but nah, let's waste all that energy on a few possible clients.
>>12773 Hey, they do this for money.
>>12773 >all those talented people in insert saudi oil mony tier car company here could make an amazing daily enthusiast car we need halo brands to develop the tech that makes its way down to the consumer level without NASCAR you don't get race spec muscle cars without formula 1 you don't get down-force or active suspension without Bugatti, alpha romeo, or Duesenberg, you don't get the straight eight Pontiac or Chrysler
>>12805 >Alfa >halo brand
(2.86 MB 2324x1864 scan0211[1].jpg)

>pre 39 alfa >not a halo brand
>>12807 Oops, I thought you were talking about present day. I'm not familiar with the history.
>>12809 >not familiar with the history its a good read
(36.95 KB 480x360 M9-M9eLfU6U.jpg)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9-M9eLfU6U >>12805 >without formula 1 you don't get down-force or active suspension I know aerodynamics might seem like witchcraft but it really isn't that hard to understand. Embed related, this guy makes it understandable. Anyway, aerodynamic down force in an enthusiast car will always be negligible compared to the inertial forces unless you have a very, very light car (750kg and down) with a lot of power going very fast. Those stock wings you have on saloon cars, sports cars and what not? They're Orson Welles tier of not doing anything.
>>12814 >make claim that F1 introduced down-force to performance automobiles how does that insinuate anything about what you just said
>>11129 >redblock >doesnt post the OG redblock tbh the old B engines are some of the best ever made I love the shit out of them >tfw you own one >tfw the rest of the car is in such shit condition it'll break apart and you can't afford to fix it pain
>>5585 >Are your anuses ready? For a car that barely anyone here can afford and the ones that can won't even buy? no thank you, besides those engines have alot of cooling issues
