If I had to guess, it’s because I deleted the images from one thread and tried to repost them in another. But why is there such a restriction?

>>11905 It's a board setting, the board owner can choose to only allow one copy of an image on a per thread or per board basis. I'd guess it's assuming that if an image was deleted it was deleted for a reason and wont allow it to be reposted as long as it's in the bin.
