A guide to lesbian sex is something I have reservations about.
Do you think it'd be well received if we were to essentially be telling girls how they should be doing it? Sex is a very intimate act and subject to personal preference. Having a guidebook for it just seems a bit problematic for these reasons.
Also, what kinds of acts would we be willing to include? It's an illustrated yuri guide to dykery, so we'd have an unusually large range of possible topics to cover, especially since we'd be free of legal restrictions.
We could cover the basic acts of a two-consenting-adults couple. But what if the subject matter is expanded beyond this?
Okay, we can cover the less ethical but still legal acts like having more than two women involved in the lovemaking, or including BDSM and other fetish or kink type acts, as well as a host of paraphilias, some of which are going to be considered unpleasant to certain audiences (for example, anything involving bodily waste or associated functions), and of course the ever growing catalogue of toys for you and your partner to play around with.
But we could also include legally prohibited kinds of lesbian sex as well. Sex with unwilling partners, masturbation to shemalesd partners (talking about VERY young girls here), sex with closely-related family members, extremely violent or sadistic sex acts, sex with deceased partners, sex with partners of different species, sex in locations were such acts are prohibited, etc.
Not to mention all the stuff that's in the realm of fantasy, in the world of anime there's all sorts of things that do not exist in our world, yet could be applied to lesbian activities occurring in that world.
Where would the line be drawn?
Also, would it just be about making love? why not include a guide to finding your partner, seducing them, dating them, entering into a relationship with them, managing said relationship, etc.? We could be making a full guide to lesbian love here!
Of course, this might also apply to every kind of lesbian relationship, and don't you think it might be creepy to write a guide on how a korephile might gain access to a little girl for her pedophilic sex acts, and carrying out the desired molestations on her without being caught for them?
Last is a more political topic: What counts as a "lesbian" here?
Is a biological man whose been chemically or surgically transitioned to physically conform to a self-identified female gender a viable lesbian if they pursue women (again, biological or otherwise)?
What about a biological man who merely identifies as a woman without altering their bodies to match (such as a transvestite-type transgender)?
On the flipside, what about a biological woman who identifies as a man? (assume the same questions apply here as they do to the reverse).
Also, what of cisgender men? there are a lot of bisexual women out there and while a threesome between them, another woman, and a man does include straight sex, it also involves lesbian sex as well. Could we cover that as a valid subject matter?
Lastly, and I must mention this, should we also cover safe sex practices? sexual safety such as protection from pregnancy or disease, or safety in the context of dating or relationships, such as avoiding being the victim of criminal activity or abusive treatment?
There's a lot to cover about what could go into such a guide, as well, how would we even know what we are talking about when it comes to deciding what to put in there?
There are a lot of sex guides that are jokes because of the dumb sex acts detailed in them by authors who have little clue as to what they were writing about.
For example, the infamous Kama Sutra has positions detailed in it that would destroy the dick of the poor guy who tries them with his chick, most likely it was written as a collection of sex acts that the authors had heard of or thought up rather than a proper guide.
I'm a bisexual woman, but I am aware that most of the users on this board are likely straight men, I wouldn't consider either of us trustworthy enough to make something like this.
On the other hand, it might be a good way to get some nice pics on this board, and possibly some writefags could post up some interesting content from somewhere for a sake of the project.
I mean, perhaps the guide could be written in the form of an educational comic that follows a girl through her journey of being a young japanese lesbian that ends up having a lot of interesting sex, teaching the reader through giving an exposition on her experiences.
We could start with her history as a lesbian, from her childhood experiences (that pertain to her as a lesbian, such as the little things that hinted that she'd romantically prefer other girls to boys, it's already been established that most gay children display the clues as to their sexuality even before their sexuality manifests itself as attraction/arousal) to her self-discovery and acknowledgement, to her living as a lesbian (down-low, openly, or somewhere between) and possibly her coming out events once she's confident enough in her sexuality and those she's considered telling about it to actually go through with the confession (I imagine it'd be a lot easier in a country like Japan as opposed to certain parts of the USA).
I think a simple story of a girl's experiences as a lesbian in Japan would be good enough on it's own without all this "guidebook" nonsense attached to it, especially if it gives a realistic portrayal of this, with or without the pornographic bits (showing or describing the sex would be nice, her sex life is going to be a focus of the plot, after all, but you don't actually need to show anything to explore that part of her life).
Perhaps she moves into the Japanese equivalent of an amazonian/sapphic part of town or the city, and we get to see the actual kind of community lesbians have there.
Perhaps the girl is a fan of yuri, and we can see how it relates to her sexuality, such as her struggle to find yuri works that have pornographic lesbian content and lack content that isn't lesbian (meaning heterosexual or bisexual or transgender content) while also possessing a quality that makes it appealing to actual lesbian audiences (most yuri is made for straight men).[Expand Post]
Meta-commentary is always welcome.
Also, we could cover the debate on gay marriage in Japan, rather than the legal contract less-than-marriage equivalent. I know there's LGBT people in Japan who do not advocate for it or who even advocate against it (idiots) because of the traditionalist conservative mindset of the country (even among those who aren't conservative traditional by the nature of their sexuality).
