Post-Cold War: Middle East Wars, Alt-Right Rising, etc. Heck, if you'll count it, WW2 would allow for German/Romani, German/Jewish, and Russian/Sami.

Sorry didn't see you were asking. lore-wise they are of french nationality. and supposedly (the manga/anime is beyond my time) to some degree is based on that Versailes anime (main pic of this thread) -Oshida is French -I don't have info from databook or wiki. but considering where French has been going, Andou is either French-African or from pacific.
