We can override the setting but consider this: when you try to edit some text in, 100px height feel really short but in practice, 100px can occupy some space on top. These screenshots showcase how big a standard 300x100 banner appear. Actually at this point of writing all banners we have are in that size. 800 width take almost half of 1080p monitor 600x200 should be safe for large banner. You can go even higher but don’t get too greedy

2nd one looks ugly as banner but at least there is some space to put watermark on

Maybe I judge it too soon. There are 3 places I can see these banners from: expanding thumbnails in your post, banner list and how they actually showed up on site Pic 1 is how it look from banner list. Both look fine from this view >>1204 When I expand it, the one on right looks stretched In both case the ratio is still same so I guess putting them side by side skewed my perception Finally this is how is look in site. It doesn't look as stretched as I thought but it definitely can use more height. The one on left look fine... as it turned out I never enable override banner size. Now I override it it look like these. They look fine
