Japanese learning thread Anonymous 12/12/2022 (Mon) 10:23:26 No. 780
It will be relaxing and interesting
Disclaimer I never had Japanese training/course, formal or informal. What I usually do are listening to subbed anime, repeating lines I like or using machine translation. Despite all of my shortcomings I want to teach it to our community. I printed a hiragana and katakana chart as a quick reference but even now I still forget some

First a history on how I did. I used to read yuri on danbooru since they put translation over the picture but it never occur me to even trying to read Japanese text. One day I somehow (pic1) read an untranslated one and somehow got curious with what the character are saying. By using browser google translate I write the kanji one by one and get this from bottom panel ''Koroshiaide wa make chaushi. Anta wa watashi ni dake yasashikunai. Haru no yoru wa nemurenaishi.'' THEN a kind soul in internet give me an OCR (on screen reader) named Kanjitomo to extract kanji AND translate it. I didn't use it often but it allow you to extract kanji AND translate it. Nowadays I use Google Translate App from phone since it can scan pictures That’s my history but what I want to share is I get it, even looking at Japanese text might intimidating but after trying to actualy read it, you will become familiar. More than treating it like Aztec script.
I collect bottom kanji I see from pixiv description, put them into excel then I sort them. kanji at really top of the list 下に below, under 世界 sekai 初音 Hatsune

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R31m2sJ62YM this video is about mama figures among Bang Dream bands. I watch it using yt’s auto-translate feature. This is what I can make from the video: -1 Classical mama. sibling of vastly different age. Ensure her band having a fun highschool. Noticing the feeling of Arisa who cant be honest. She claim she is greedy but she step back and watch with smile. Extend to other band. -2 "spoiled but relied by everyone" Good nature even often fails. The type to be pampered once in a month by members. Growth, straighten her members. When find someone troubled, she try to solve problem. even though she cant, she stay till the end. Prone to tears but furious to people who say bad things to her band -3 know the harsh of entertainment industry. If unit miss a beat, she quickly followup. Raise voice to protect everyone, lenient with younger member. Overprotective to her classmate, Kanon. existence is crucial for growth of member -4 "mama of other band" At first join Roselia for osananajimi. Make cookie, support band. Good at cooking, sweetness to other. -5 “Among free spirited ones, she is the protector” dragged by it. Can’t be sure what the 3baka will do in or outside school. Type of person who doesnt want get involved with troublesome stuff. Want band member to be happy: during valentine make chocolate with them. -6 “Newbie mama” tried her best. Try growing little by little. When their band threaten to break up she tell members ikageni (get over it/be serious/don’t f**k with me) . -7 Ideal* mama (not by individual but video describe her as “risou”. Idk if that mean ideal mom or realistic) Easen up temper. Difficult with word. She fight with Pareo but remember to apologize.

East asian languages aren't direct when mentioning negatives. They said "tsumi nai" which directly mean "without sin". properly translated into innocent

I didn’t think of this before that ‘daughter’ can be said not only as female offspring of parents, but also female child of a clan
