I'm posting Cao Cao in honour of the poster who was posting in honour of the original Cao Cao poster until we get a good Romance of the three kingdoms mod.
were so back /mbg/ bros
Bannerlord sucked so much that it killed /mbg/ . But it was comfy posting during those early bannerlord days.

Is Bannerlord salvageable? What do mods need to add to bring it up to feature parity with Warband? >individual reputation is pointless, all that matters is clan rep. Friends and enemies don't naturally develop like they do in Warband. >no downsides to declaring war for no reason at any time outside of truces >no "it is better to be the wolf than the lamb"-type flavor text (did they fix this?) >no grace period to react to retarded lords ignoring settlement loyalty >influence goes from precious to infinite as soon as you become king >don't have to corral lords into attacking the right fief, just click a button (arguably an improvement) Bannerlord added a lot of good things too, like the economy and expanded fief management. I just wish the clan system didn't oversimplify diplomacy so much. I liked how you could reliably get a posse of your closest friends to follow you in Warband, and less reliably amass a huge army that was prone to disobey. Bannerlord abstracts so much behind menus that the actual gameplay becomes about as engaging as Microsoft Excel towards the end.
>>4621 Last year after long hiatus, i decided to play Bannerlord again, and downloaded many mods to make it better. Sure it was enjoyable at the start but eventually i was elected to be King of Vlandia and after some time i encountered one big problem that Bannerlord has; late game is not enjoyable, there is nothing to do than battles and even if there was something else to do you dont really have time for anything because constant wars and needing to move across the map to defend and attack enemies. I did have this diplomacy mod that allowed me to tweak different diplomacy stuff like making truces longer and changing how ai decides when to attack other factions, this helped to prevent constant warfare but again it just made it more clear that there arent anything else to do. It's sad because game could be much more
>>4636 That begs the question whether the late-game boredom problem was any better in Warband. I think Warband had the problem too, but it came way later - like, I got big enough that total Calradian conquest was assured only after wiping out at least two or three other kingdoms, while in Bannerlord all you have to do is secede from a kingdom with a bunch of fiefs (that your king is happy to give you because it's piss easy to build rep by leading an army and winning battles) and you're basically at that point already. IMHO, Bannerlord's late game has two main problems: it needs to be more challenging (and therefore longer), and events in the world (wars, truces, defections, secessions) need to happen for a real reason. afaik secessions don't happen in vanilla but they totally should

>>4729 waifufags get the axe
>>4646 Well yeah, in Warband it just took longer to get to that position. At least for me i rarely even got to that point even though i played my saves as much then
>>4742 Waifufagging is an important aspect of Bannerlord. If you can't get laid, your clan will perish.

Bacon-Legsyone made Anno Domini for Bannerlord in the appropriate time period yet? e.g. Warband = 1257 A.D., Bannerlord = 1057-ish A.D.
