Howdy torposter
>>804 What you want gay
>>805 (you)
>>805 But seriously, give me the QRD on veloren plz
>>807 Last I played it was maybe around a year ago so I would hope a lot has changed. It has a pretty below average art style that is hard to read. The servers were laggy and the hitboxes were completely fucked. It's a cube world/trove knock off basically. It was hardly even a game when I played it. I can generally look past very early versions of games being barebones but the art style is not something that is going to get fixed and it's really not nice on the eyes. I wish more games were low poly with good texture work.
>>808 I think your eyes are just old and decrepit, it looks fine to me. Like you said, seems like Cube World if it was made by a group of autists instead of just one and his wife.
>>809 Nah it's a shitty unreadable art style.
Steam Deck: Introducing Deck Verified >Here at Valve, we've been trying out lots of games on Steam Deck. Many of Steam's 50,000 games work great on Deck, right out of the box. Others require some extra configuration to play, and some games aren't compatible with Steam Deck's operating system yet. >We want to make sure it's easy for you to tell in advance which games will work well, so we're introducing a new Steam Deck compatibility rating to Steam. >Before Steam Deck ships, you'll be able to see the compatibility rating for any game on Steam, including an easy way to check all the games that you already own. >And you can learn more about the details at steamdeck.com/verified. https://web.archive.org/web/20211018213537/https://steamcommunity.com/games/1675180/announcements/detail/5457792180873163418 https://steamcommunity.com/games/1675180/announcements/detail/5457792180873163418
>>811 Steam Deck seems cool and I hope people like it. I will not be buying it though, because I have many devices already and frugality is a virtue.

Morrowind running on a pinephone.
>>813 Scuffed as fuck
>>816 I know what 2 of those words mean.
>>818 It's ratchet, it's ganked, it's a gorksnob short of a dwoomsnaggle. Get it, man!

>>821 Alright old man, fine. I'm saying the device on which the game is played looks beat up, in a uniquely MacGyveresque sort of way.
Update on BattlEye + Proton support >As we mentioned previously, BattlEye on Proton integration has reached a point where all a developer needs to do is reach out BattlEye to enable it for their title. No additional work is required by the developer besides that communication. Partners have started turning on BattlEye support for their titles, meaning these games are now working on Steam Deck. >Starting today Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and ARK: Survival Evolved's BattlEye anti-cheat systems are working on Proton, and we expect others to follow soon. If you'd like to try this out now, you'll need today's update of Proton Experimental as well as the Steam Client Beta. >If you're using BattlEye and would like to support Steam Deck, reach out to BattlEye directly to request that they enable support. If your game uses BattlEye and you have follow up questions for Valve, reach out to us here. https://web.archive.org/web/20211106011856/https://store.steampowered.com/news/group/4145017/view/3104663180636096966
>linux gaming <(((Steam deck))) thread I knew it was all veiled homosexuality but this confirms it
>>830 >what the hell they're talking about a linux computer in the linux thread

>>802 I'm unironically kinda hyped but I still retain a healthy amount of skepticism after the flop that was Steam Machines. >>830 It's a computer with joysticks running Arch. You could buy a Steam Deck whenever they hit the shelves and play zero steam games on it if you wanted to.
