If you folks genuinely want to move the general to /v/, I won't be against it.
I opened the thread here because this board has the same name as the place we came from, so I was positive some refugees would look for it on here rather than /v/.
It's a bit hard for me to view VNs as "vidya" when they are rather a multimedial choose-your-own-adventure book, hence why I think people might be surprised to see this general move to /v/ specifically (which is, of course, about what is most easily recognised as "videogames"). The whole "tomato is actually a fruit and a peanut is not a nut" situation, you know?
But if most people are in favour of relocation, I won't oppose it myself

>You could realistically get all the artwork and illustrations you need from AI atm
It would work with the backgrounds (although knowing they are not based on real places would disappoint some people due to the absence of Easter Eggs), but character designs that is fully AI-generated could easily look soulless. Heck, we are already swimming in infinite anime girl pictures and gacha still employs real artists that try to give characters the most memorable-looking clothing and accessories, no matter how peculiar.
To compete with that with the aid of art generators, you'd have to be one amazing writer
What about the OST?
I'm sure AIs can easily tell the difference between an anxious track and a relaxed one, but are they already trying to generate audio slop as part of their self-improvement quest?
