The problem is I exist in this weird limbo between vore artists and regular shortstack coomer crap, so going too hard in either direction on a massive project like a game is gonna alienate someone either way. A bunch of factors affect what gets picked (tier of submitter, level of submitter, etc), but it's not unreasonable. I tried to set it up so it wouldn't be too dominated by obviously popular choices like Midna, and weighted so it would move around so everyone has a shake at getting in. The biggest weight is just occurrence counts - like if 7 people all nominate the same thing it'll probably get pushed into a poll slot. The pick rate isn't affected by subscription status though (because if you join, nominate, then cancel you should obviously still qualify since you paid for the month). The only thing that comes into play in that regard is completed refunds in which case the system just acts like you never joined for that month to begin with.
