Typically it is better to create art for a career, and ART as a hobby. Despite pretending to be the opposite, a lot of 'art' types are pretentious, the MC should just draw what he wants to draw within the constraints of the assignment, so something that makes him look good and/or expresses his anxiety. Also, instead of worrying alone or defaulting to edge, he should have spent more time with the sexy alcoholic instructor (turning her away after she called out to him? Really? At least I've never done something like that) she seems really comfy and attractive (maybe not marriage material, butt still) la~
