For anons in Italy, it seems like there will be a distribution of Shiny Miraidon and Koraidon for you all as well! From now until October 15th, if you go to any Gamelife store, you can pick up a code to use in your game. It seems like there is an extra step, though. You must bring in a copy of Scarlet or Violet as well as your Switch system to prove that you own the game.
This should have been done in all the other locations, too. Personally, I was unable to get a code even though I stopped by my local stores on the first day they were available. According to employees, codes were gone shortly after opening, and there were lines outside before the stores even opened. Were there that many pokemon fans waiting? Did they just give codes to every customer without asking if they really owned the game? It doesn't help that it seems like some stores were given a very small number of code cards.
For many people, the codes were given out starting on a weekday morning. Kids are at school, most adults are at work. Were adults without jobs/adults who took the day off the only ones to get codes? Seems like the days of kids getting cool legendary pokemon through cards are mostly over if this is the trend.
