/vyt/ and tower PPD for 12/30 (UTC+0). /vyt/: 3145 PPD +35% DoD -17% WoW +17% MoM tower: 14575 +0% DoD -9% WoW +40% MoM /vyt/ rebounded from its record low to above 3k. Tower was almost unchanged since yesterday, for an average day. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 27372 PPD, the third-slowest day post-hack and around the pre-hack record low. Combined total for all three boards was 45092 PPD.
Board predictions for 2026? >/vyt/ Likely further recline into irrelevance >Tower and /vt/ Apart from Tower collapsing overnight which isn't 100% out of the question due to the nature of being an altchan, they both will likely stay pretty flat in terms of growth
/vyt/ and tower PPD for 12/31 (UTC+0). /vyt/: 3891 PPD +23% DoD +0% WoW N/A MoM tower: 30760 PPD +111% DoD +69% WoW N/A MoM /vyt/ had a busy day, but was unable to breach 4k. Tower had its all-time busiest day, breaching 30k for the first time. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 36970 PPD, above-average post-hack. Combined total for all three boards was 71621 PPD.

>>1134952 Holy fuck, 30k PPD
For New Years, some averages. This only goes back to July because it's the furthest back I have data for all three boards, I'll have to go back and get /vt/ data prior to June at some point and /vyt/ data prior to 5/8. No graphs yet but I'll try to get those working at some point. /vyt/ monthly averages: July: 3774 August: 3277 September: 3021 October: 3775 November: 3215 December: 3334 tower monthly averages: July: 14798 August: 15784 September: 14042 October: 14491 November: 14322 December: 15726 /vt/ monthly averages: July: 37843 August: 36101 September: 32254 October: 35933 November: 35090 December: 32242 /vyt/ reached its average low in September, rebounded for narrow average high in October, and then settled down somewhere in the middle. Tower had its average high in August, fell off in September, but had nearly totally recovered by January. /vt/ set its average high in July and had a strong October and November, but reached its average low in December.
>>1134952 not even being able to beat /vt/ on a turbo giga buff day is kind of sad. if they can't do it now then it's unlikely for fes as well
>>1139412 The fact we're even talking about the possibility of tower beating /vt/ is nuts. If you had asked me a month ago I would have said it was impossible but it got close twice in December.
/vyt/ and tower PPD for 1/1/2026 (UTC+0). /vyt/: 4434 PPD +13% DoD +25% WoW +39% MoM tower: 19543 PPD -37% DoD +5% WoW +43% MoM /vyt/ managed to break into the 4k range, only the second time it's done that since early Nov. Tower was down below 20k from yesterday's record highs but was still quite busy. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 35405, around average post-hack. Combined total for all three boards was 59382 PPD.

Tower remained high and actually managed to crack 20k, which it rarely does. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 31964, below-average post-hack. Combined total for all three boards was 55320 PPD.

Updating this so that it contains numbers until the end of the year. Included a new under/over the extrapolated linear trend using pre-lockdown numbers (up to Feb 2020). Linear is more relevant (and nicer to Twitch) than polynomial, even though the business executives would probably have preferred that Twitch follow those projections/extrapolations. The recent gap/decline since July 2025 looks bad because the difference between actual and extrapolated are the following: July - (20,658.34) Aug - (219,002.10) Sep - (264,251.85) Oct - (363,866.77) Nov - (303,637.52) Dec - (277,867.45) The recent data really only reaches a maximum miss of 16% in October. Between 2016 and 2017, Amazon CCV missed by that or more for 9 months, with the worst months missing by 26-27%. Don't know why Twitch had those previous dips or what is causing the new dips. Don't follow Twitch much, so I only have surface-level guesses like: botting issues (botting services went down, for example), Kick eating Twitch's lunch, and forced out of certain markets (South Korea).
>>1143153 SK probably wouldn't have counted for much and that happened first quarter 2024 like 30k ccv max all combined or something if they all streamed at once the big hits were a few years before the big sweetheart deals where mixer/youtube/kick were stealing streamers left and right and I'm not entirely sure what caused it it could have just been youtube pushing more livestreaming, people doing other shit with their time (tiktok), the ferocity of shitting on twitch administration, the start of in stream ads (I don't remember when), the lack of offering any kind of incentives to stream more, or how dogshit the app was losing market share to other apps (tiktok, youtube, insta, twitter (especially for politics)) as the userbase has shfited more mobile
>>1143225 That's right, a bunch of platforms were signing streamers from Twitch. Thanks, forgot that was a thing. For SK, 30k would have blunted the decline, but you're right, that only reduces the decline by at most 20%? https://streamscharts.com/news/livestreaming-south-korea-stats-trends Platform distribution pictures, does show that 445.^ of streaming hours happen on native platforms (that the site tracks) and 51.4% on YT. >CHZZK https://streamscharts.com/overview?platform=chzzk If we go to historical trends, we can see that in January, there were an avg of 35k. Now it's around 120-130k. >SOOP (formerly Afreeca) https://streamscharts.com/overview?platform=afreecatv While there is that drop between point D and E on its historical trends chart, average viewership hasn't really changed, so it doesn't look like that website took many viewers. >Kick It started in Dec 2022, I'm leery about relying on its reported numbers for now, but it'll be interesting to follow down the line. I don't believe that Twitch is dying and it might just be a hiccup. It'll depend down-the-line.

Data from hololyzer. >Disclaimer Some did do members' streams or other content around the graduations stream. SCs should only be treated as a proxy for where fans are located. Developed fan bases are more likely to send SCs, developing ones are less likely. >Images Image 1 - 8-categories stacked bar graph to compare the quantity of SC senders Image 2 - 8-categories stacked bar graph to compare proportionally which category the SC senders were from Image 3 - 5 categories stacked bar graph to compare proportionally which category the SC senders were from Image 4 - Summary data used to generate each graph Image 5 - Data after determining number of unique SCs converted into a percentage for each currency type >Separate Note - Important to look at the difference in just the number of SCs sent in total. Both Gura and Mumei had similar or even greater CCV than Ame and Fauna, but the latter two double in unique SCs sent. Similar thing happens to Chloe and Shion. Similar CCV, but Chloe doubles Shion. So, nothing conclusive about audiences, but adds to the patterns and trends. >Updated Observations (top 3, bottom 3, mean) >Unique Currencies Coco (47) - Ame (45) - Sana (42) Shion (22) - Chloe (27) - Mumei/Kanata (36) Mean 37.5 >Unique SCs/Total SCs Mumei (92.55%) - Sana (91.87%) - Gura (90.90%) Kanata (62.97%) - Fauna (83.45%) - Chloe (87.11%) Mean 86.8% Damn, Kanata's SC senders are pretty dedicated and went in hard. >JP % Chloe (88.43%) - Shion (83.25) - Aqua (79.25%) Ame (3.75%) - Fauna (6.95%) - Sana (8.54%) Mean 41.71% >NA % Ame (55.4%) - Fauna (55.47%) - Sana (53.03%) Chloe (2.23%) - Shion (3.28%) - Aqua (3.44%) Mean 28.11% >EU% Fauna (11.51%) - Sana (8.75%) - Gura (8.42%) Chloe (0.77%) - Aqua (1.11%) - Shion (1.21%) Mean 4.81%

do you people even watch vtubers? the majority of this thread is basically metaposting about chans
>>1154555 I post in Towa and lurk here for PPD numbers
>>1154555 tower's ban on /#/ and the continuing existence of 4/#/ means almost nobody uses this thread to post regularly this is the first time I've checked the thread since early December
>>1154555 Half the popular vtubers are botted. Youtube is messing with how CCV is counted all the time. It's impossible to have a meaningful numbers conversation when the data is so dirty. # is outlawed on Towa, and all the undesirables go to the designated shitting street. We just sit here and zoöobserve jeetchan's slow decline.
