last /#/ was five months, I'm thinking this one goes until late June or early July 2026 if the board doesn't totally die before then
>>967623 Today /vyt/ had 340 users, down from 354 users yesterday. I believe this is our new low. I think it was previously 345 which we hit back in September. Today's sitewide PPH high was 757 posts, down from 874 posts yesterday. The PPH low was around 277 posts, down from around 314 posts yesterday.

Crazy rollercoaster, from a near post-hack high just a couple weeks ago. Tower had an average to below-average day. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 33358 PPD, average to below-average post-hack. Combined total for all three boards was 48835 PPD.
>>971316 Not surprised to see merchandising barely grow. Cover building infrastructure in the US already shows how important the NA market is to the company. Once they have in place, as long as they can weather the tariffs and maybe see the US implement some sort of de minimis exemption back again, Cover can be in a nice spot for the future. Solving Europe would be good too, in general. NA is probably easier to solve though, even with how on-and-off the US is being with trade policies. >Merch Well if merch revenue is about the same, but merch cost increases by about 50%, that's definitely going to hurt gross margins (page 6 for revenue, page 7 for manufacturing costs). >TCG While there is the game/tournament component of it, it's still oshi merch. Building an oshi deck, even if it's not meta is a thing. Also, gambling just to get that signed oshi card. Of the graduates, I believe only Mumei, Shion, and Chloe have cards viable for deck-building. Ame has her Spot card, but those cards are ancillary. Missing viable decks for Aqua, Ame, Gura, and Fauna all represent lost merch revenue. >Streaming revenue TL;DR SCs revenue from holomems-only make up around 10% of total streaming revenue. While some of the remaining might include Stars, it might peak around 2%. This means that the remaining 88% comes from ads, memberships, SCs during members' streams, and other platforms. >Streaming revenue Just some napkin math, attached is just a basic streaming revenue/vtubers chart. Between Q3 2025 and Q2 2026, Cover lost 5 holomems. Cover has averaged between 20-30 million yen per vtuber from streaming revenue each quarter. Which is at least 86MM yen per vtuber each year. >hololive SCs YTD (June) 2025 https://i.warosu.org/data/vt/img/1018/01/1751344740241576.png An anon had this put together. June 2025 would be the end of Q1 2026. So the sum of Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 is 3,458,758 USD (using ChatGPT to parse). Avg USD to Yen rate was about 148.06, so about 512,103,709.48 yen. So total SCs received by holomems were about 10.73% of total streaming revenue. Several holomems do not have SCs enabled every stream because museums and albums. It also doesn't consider SCs from Stars. Between these two quarters, there was an average 87.5 vtubers [(89+86)/2]. 512,103,709.48/87.5 = 5,852,613.82. Then divide this by 2, which results to about 2,926,306.91 SC in yen per vtuber each quarter. This about $19,000. >Cover Corp October SCs https://i.warosu.org/data/vt/img/1064/58/1762642673004215.png A different anon produced this chart. Per ChatGPT, that's a total $347,940 USD. Of this $43,606 was from various Stars. You can also see how 9 holos do not have SCs enabled or did not stream (Okayu). That's about 10.5% of Cover's vtubers (they're all pretty notable for SC earnings). This meant that Stars made up about 12.53% of total SC revenue received by Cover Corp in October. hololyzer counted StarsEN member Ruze's birthday for October. I don't know if that needs to be compensated for given that this was also the b-day month for Korone, Fubuki, Luna, Ollie, and GG. In yen, $347,940 USD is about 52,570,255 Yen at 151.09 yen per USD. This is just for October. >Graduation? Posting these numbers just for some context. The amounts should represent the 30 days leading up to graduation, which is just a third of a quarter. Shion not included because she graduated April which was not part of the intervals of the videos produced by a different anon. >Aqua's graduation https://youtu.be/c68D8J7FrUc?si=bIdRlW1S0-cyZe6-&t=630 In 30 days, she accumulated 60MM+ in SCs >Ame's graduation https://youtu.be/c68D8J7FrUc?si=v9c9GIdU0UmcsVva&t=642 In 30 days, she accumulated around 18-19MM in SCs. >Fauna https://youtu.be/c68D8J7FrUc?si=bhrbx39h0if1KyHa&t=677 She had around 16-17MM in SCs >Chloe https://youtu.be/c68D8J7FrUc?si=zpnUzH4xAMPLWO8k&t=685 About 28-29MM >Mumei https://youtu.be/l-P4YuRdZNI?si=D03nnnN3RvADZWv9&t=407 About 13-14MM >Gura https://youtu.be/l-P4YuRdZNI?si=IKu937JPGmAdXkt6&t=409 9MM+ >Note Reminder, it was estimated that each vtuber earned Cover about 2,926,306.91 yen in SC revenue per quarter or a bit less than 1MM yen each month. So when watching those SC videos. Anyone right of the 1MM line is earning above the average. Currently that's about $6,618.57.
>>972858 Also forgot about YT premium. From what I'm seeing the split is 55/45 (same as ad). So if all someone watches is hololive, at $13.99 a month (I pay for a family plan), that's about $7.70 in place of ads. Using an RPM of $1.00, that premium is worth about 7,700 views a month.

That’s about 6k less, 4k on tower alone. Did Cloudflare really have that much of an impact? Happened around JP times too. Cloudflare affects captchas so it’s really only new posters and ban-evaders that might have issues.

>>998456 So is the over-representation of Firefox users just inertia (the users are old fucks, guilty :v), ublock, or something else? Firefox's worldwide market share is floating just about 2%. For it to represent half of the site's traffic is pretty interesting. https://backlinko.com/browser-market-share Towards the bottom of the page, the site lists the usage of China, India, and the US for a sample of individual countries and then by continents/regions. Safari has the second largest share in the US at 29.28%. Unknown is around 5% and that should include other browsers too. Maybe some of the numbers can be explained by iPhone users substituting Safari for other browsers (like Firefox). Firefox wasn't represented in the top 6 for Asia, but does appear everywhere else.
>>1008375 it's representative of a userbase that isn't full of third worlders and retards (which are a vast majority of the global web unfortunately) and reporting biases google's internal data would probably give you the best reading in general, but they're not going to hand that over eg: I don't send a usage ping, I don't connect to any trackers, and I limit exposure to google and other big companies who's going to pick up my usage to report it? how heavy are they profiling to know it's the same user/browser? how far off are their extrapolations of visits:usage if they don't? market share is a meme that nobody minds because it suits their narratives

The only day that exceeds it in the dataset was the day immediately after 4chan went down, and only by a few hundred. Estimated PPD for /vt/ was 34295, bucking the trend for a very average day. An odd thing I've noticed is that pinging boards.js exactly at 00:00:00 results in a correct postcount, but still displays last hour's PPH. You have to wait until at least 00:00:01 (possibly later?) to get correct PPH. I wonder why that is and if it affects anything.
>>1072980 posting triggers the postcount to update which happens continuously it also increments the counter for posts in the current hour pph is part of the board stats update that runs hourly and just displays the last hour's counter it tries to fire at 00:00:00 but whenever the stats db actually finally gets updated depends trying to be too precise is a bit of a fool's errand, but tracking the pph yourself and adding them together should render what the server thought at least
>>1073310 So, you obviously run the board, otherwise you wouldn't know how it works. Can you just make it spit out PPD so I don't have to calculate it? Board-specific PPH would be nice too.
>>1073377 not worth the maintenance burden / time for like two guys' autism pph is already board specific unless you mean graphs which might be a ddos angle and see above it's probably like thirty lines of your favorite language to fetch and cache it then spit it out dailies automatically

>>825020 Update Data manually grabbed from vrabi, blue line (all chatters) used. 30Day MA - since the last post (10/03/2025), Shiori has 10 additional public streams recorded on vrabi. Unique chatters only act as a proxy and does not necessarily reflect the actual audience composition. Also, there might have been collabs, I've missed. Shiori doesn't label a lot of these, so unless the game, content, thumbnail, title, or number of chatters gives something away, I very much will miss something (I do not watch her streams, she starts when I'm still at work and I don't jive with her content). >Purpose To test how collabing with Stars might affect viewership >Vertical Lines Red lines mark when Starscollab occurred. Purple lines are 30 days after the collab. >Numbers Graph Because it's 30DMA, the graph reflects "trends" more. Trend has hit a new low since the beginning of 2025, although it has been recovered. This is due to a combination of collabs and long running series (Urban Myth Dissolution Center and Cursed Auction). In general it looks like chatters from all tracked groups hit a new low. >Percentage This graph only really shows the "makeup" and should not treated as growing/diminishing audience sizes. Last time I mentioned that the CCGG were also affected by the drop below 90% (I did not check the others), this seems to continue with CC being the one recover the most. There is a chance that the GG graph for holoEN drops further than Shiori. This could be a combination of sharing chatting audiences with ex-holos, LoL, Honkai/Gachas, etc. Would need to actually collect the data and for more of the girls to see if the situation is unique. Shared chatters from holoJP, holoID, DEV_IS, NijiEN hit new lows between 10/03/2025-12/18/2025. The 2-4% gain from StarsEN remains. Since the % of holoEN has also been affected, so it might be general tourists, but we'll see. >Note The 11/6/2025 collab with Jurard had 23.2% (~250) of chatters shared with StarsEN. While above average, it's actually lower than Shiori's first collab in March at 26.1% (~901). Her Cronos streams had a similar percentage of StarsEN chatters. Her 12/11/2025 collab with Flayon had 32.6% (~613) of chatters shared with StarsEN. This is the highest NUMBER of StarsEN chatters since the spring collabs. Her Code Vein and Dispatch streams also draws in a good number of these chatters.
>>1092717 >COLLABS EXCLUDED Again from what I can identify. These are 30DMA graphs with all collabs (Holo and Stars) excluded. This explains some of the "sharpness" in the graphs (less streams means a smaller sample to average every 30 days). >Numbers Resurgence is probably due to playing more "tourist"-friendly games. >Percentage While several lines have trended downwards, it's interesting to see just how much holoJP has (ID and EN have trended down too, with DEV_IS recovering, maybe due to their 3D live?). Not quite sure what to make of StarsEN chatters. There seems to be a permanent gain at least. >Other Notes Data will be influenced by general changes in market behavior and just vtubing popularity. Gains and declines might just be the result of people leaving or entering the hololive ecosystem. >Considerations Might do something like collecting data up to 2/21/2024 so there's at least 1 year of 30DMA before the first collab with Stars. Also, considering just starting from 3/23/2024 and creating a "1-year-average" to include on the graphs, so the before and after is clearer.

>>1117140 I guess I overestimated how many people wouldn't show up today because it was Christmas. It is strange to me how Thanksgiving had a bigger impact when Christmas is the much bigger holiday. I guess more vtubers are doing Christmas streams than Thanksgiving streams, so that was probably the reason. I expect New Years to be pretty normal since a lot of people will stream on New Years.
>>1117140 Actually my was antivirus blocking 8chan until presumably this christmas update to the site came on, since I like had this tab on for like weeks and it only stopped giving me a blocked page today.
>>1117379 what antivirus/browser?
>>1117699 Nah it wasn't a browser, its Kaspersky. Automatically blocks suspicious sites and downloads. Actually it was already flip flopping before on blocking or allowing 8chan for me on random days until like a few weeks ago where it stayed blocked for some reason and only recently its allowed again.
>>1116960 >why would that be relevant (especially when posting is less forced (especially here)) you can get 2-5x the mileage out of a post here vs /vt/ unless you want to catbox spam A lot of words to say this place is ultra dead outside of the phase threads

For New Years, some averages. This only goes back to July because it's the furthest back I have data for all three boards, I'll have to go back and get /vt/ data prior to June at some point and /vyt/ data prior to 5/8. No graphs yet but I'll try to get those working at some point. /vyt/ monthly averages: July: 3774 August: 3277 September: 3021 October: 3775 November: 3215 December: 3334 tower monthly averages: July: 14798 August: 15784 September: 14042 October: 14491 November: 14322 December: 15726 /vt/ monthly averages: July: 37843 August: 36101 September: 32254 October: 35933 November: 35090 December: 32242 /vyt/ reached its average low in September, rebounded for narrow average high in October, and then settled down somewhere in the middle. Tower had its average high in August, fell off in September, but had nearly totally recovered by January. /vt/ set its average high in July and had a strong October and November, but reached its average low in December.

Updating this so that it contains numbers until the end of the year. Included a new under/over the extrapolated linear trend using pre-lockdown numbers (up to Feb 2020). Linear is more relevant (and nicer to Twitch) than polynomial, even though the business executives would probably have preferred that Twitch follow those projections/extrapolations. The recent gap/decline since July 2025 looks bad because the difference between actual and extrapolated are the following: July - (20,658.34) Aug - (219,002.10) Sep - (264,251.85) Oct - (363,866.77) Nov - (303,637.52) Dec - (277,867.45) The recent data really only reaches a maximum miss of 16% in October. Between 2016 and 2017, Amazon CCV missed by that or more for 9 months, with the worst months missing by 26-27%. Don't know why Twitch had those previous dips or what is causing the new dips. Don't follow Twitch much, so I only have surface-level guesses like: botting issues (botting services went down, for example), Kick eating Twitch's lunch, and forced out of certain markets (South Korea).
>>1143153 SK probably wouldn't have counted for much and that happened first quarter 2024 like 30k ccv max all combined or something if they all streamed at once the big hits were a few years before the big sweetheart deals where mixer/youtube/kick were stealing streamers left and right and I'm not entirely sure what caused it it could have just been youtube pushing more livestreaming, people doing other shit with their time (tiktok), the ferocity of shitting on twitch administration, the start of in stream ads (I don't remember when), the lack of offering any kind of incentives to stream more, or how dogshit the app was losing market share to other apps (tiktok, youtube, insta, twitter (especially for politics)) as the userbase has shfited more mobile
>>1143225 That's right, a bunch of platforms were signing streamers from Twitch. Thanks, forgot that was a thing. For SK, 30k would have blunted the decline, but you're right, that only reduces the decline by at most 20%? https://streamscharts.com/news/livestreaming-south-korea-stats-trends Platform distribution pictures, does show that 445.^ of streaming hours happen on native platforms (that the site tracks) and 51.4% on YT. >CHZZK https://streamscharts.com/overview?platform=chzzk If we go to historical trends, we can see that in January, there were an avg of 35k. Now it's around 120-130k. >SOOP (formerly Afreeca) https://streamscharts.com/overview?platform=afreecatv While there is that drop between point D and E on its historical trends chart, average viewership hasn't really changed, so it doesn't look like that website took many viewers. >Kick It started in Dec 2022, I'm leery about relying on its reported numbers for now, but it'll be interesting to follow down the line. I don't believe that Twitch is dying and it might just be a hiccup. It'll depend down-the-line.
